I have the Delta Reserve card and a few months back I was thinking of downgrading it and getting the Amex Platinum. I'm so glad I didn't. Between the new Uber, Resy, and Delta Stays credit, Im now able to offset a big part of that $650 fee. Then... Delta has given all of the reserve card holders 3500 MQD Boost and Headstart points.. I'll take one trip this year and will hit medallion silver. I get 10 delta club visits, four Delta club guest passes (Up from 2) plus unlimited Centurion access. Just the 2 additional Delta Club guest passes are worth $100. Lastly this month they gave Reserve card holders a $100 E-Credit. What can I say but thank you Delta! I used to question this cards value but looks like I may hold onto it for one more year. Great review of the Gold and platinum Delta cards. Many of. the same points... Thanks!👍

Been looking into airline cards used for hotel stays (late game strategy). Looked at AA and Delta so far. Not sure how many airlines allow you to use points like that, though.
So far we know Lani kills it with United, and Delta is not bad when stacked with Expedia discounts I think.
Not sure the others either yet.

@@AnthonyVenture haha it was a 1 night stay at an airport hotel in Seoul, South Korea. The hotel room was actually pretty big, had a nice view, and had a kitchenette all for $58. Hotels outside the U.S. are usually much cheaper and nicer, so that’s why I love traveling internationally

really liking my Delta Gold Biz card so far! Almost forgot about the hotel credit so thanks for the reminder. Anakeesta is nice area but not big on heights so the chair lift was not all that fun to me especially when it would stop and leave me swinging! totally agree with that area being a big tourist trap and kind of like Vegas mixed with jersey shore or something weird like that.

What if i booked flights for November but I get the Delta card right now. Can I still get the checked bags benefits?
I believe you would need to have your card on file by the time you book the flight, but I could be wrong. Good question, I think you need the card because during the booking since my card is on file, that’s when it shows that it’s for free before even fully booking!

I have the personal Delta Gold Card. That card is awesome, I’ve booked more than 10 flights just with the signup bonus miles, the last two in First Class. So even if the anual fee is $150, it is really worth it

@@AnthonyVenture Domestic flights can be really cheap depending where you’re going to and the dates, (sometimes less than $100) plus the 15% off when you use your miles to pay. I love that card

I'm waiting for Amex to refresh the Amex Gold card to include the Delta Skymiles cards (i.e. more flexible rideshare credit, Resy credits). If that happens, the Amex Gold will be a no-brainer for me - I use Lyft quite often with my Lyft Pink membership, and I dine out at several Resy restaurants per year!
And yes, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is the "Wisconsin Dells" of Tennessee. Lots of tacky tourist attractions to appeal to clueless kids going on family vacations with their parents to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I went with family to hike in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and we stayed at a vacation home in Pigeon Forge. We always used the Gatlinburg Bypass to get to the national park to avoid the traffic jams in downtown Gatlinburg.
