Wow your blanket is amazing, how beautiful. Great idea to use advent yarn. Haven’t yet got into yarn advents but seeing your Vlogmas and Melbourne Makes gives such inspiration
I have knit the zig zag zen blanket and I have to say that I loved every stitch of it and the process- made me totally happy🧶 and I loved every stitch the finished blanket
Dear Ally, Enjoying your vlogmas very much; it is fun to experience Christmas from a different part of the world! Your blankets are amazing!! I have two Habitation throws on the needles; one is just random minis in my collection and the other is from my advent exchange last year. This year I'm using the "14 Color Wrap" pattern by Virginia Sattler-Reimer for my self-made yarn advent. Have some of the other lovely patterns you showed in my library; hoping to make them one day. The best of the Season to you and your family!! ✨🎄❤ ~ Warm Regards ~ Lori
Hi Ally. Love your vlogmas's. It's the first one I watch every day. The Anthology Throw all the way. I have knitted 3 in 2 years. Didn't get an advent this year, just enjoying everyone else's. Also I would love to see your advents hiding in your cupboard 😊
Morning Ally.Lovely to see your makes👌❤️I have also made and use regularly the Habitation Throw .Made 2 of Anniina’s zig zag zen and highly recommended recommend.Currently have Julie’s for,Little Woolie Makes’ “Little squares”blanket on my hook and very addictive.(Love using the Nundle undyed too.)This also comes in a beautiful garter version. Her pattern is getting some traction from OS podcasters which is great”.Yay for the weekend 🎉”says the retired teacher😉Have a well-earned rest.xx❤️🙏🌱🍒🐨xx
I made the Sweet Shop blanket this year in similar colours to Laura and absolutely loved the process. Would also love to see your past advent calendars.
I love your habitation throw especially with the white rows separating the colours. I knitted the anthology throw last year and I absolutely loved every bit of it I also have the Zig Zag blanket with the thought of doing it very soon but I must finish the painting bricks blanket by Stephen West Thanks for filming, I am loving your vlogmas ❤
I absolutely loved the Anthology! Initially I put it in the “I will get bored and not complete it” category however I decided to try it and made two, one for a friend. I’m also slowly doing the Sweet Shop, it’s a bit of a repetitive pattern so I tend to pick it up then put it down again 😊. I’ve decided to knit Amy Palko’s Coorie Poncho with a past adventure held double as I need something for over my shoulders sometimes at night especially if I’m in bed knitting on a Winters morning 😊 good luck making a decision Ally ☺️
Your blankets are superb🥰🙏🏽I knit the anthology throw, I will present it finished soon in my podcast. It was such a pleasure to knit it, to see the colours changed and it's never boring even if we have at the end a lot of stitches. It's really a meditative project. It's always a pleasure to follow you on vlogmas, it's been several years I follow you now. I wish you a beautiful end of year🎊✨️🧺🌸
Thank you so much 🥰 Its good to know that everyone enjoys knitting the anthology, it is definitely a strong contender for an imminent cast on! Thank you also for your support over the years, it means so much to me 💕
All such lovely patterns- I’ve made the habitation throw but found the circular design a little unusual in terms of use so I gave it away to charity. This year I’ve started an advent shrug and also planning on making the dafts days cardigan. Looking forward to seeing what you knit. I’m planning on making a blanket with an old advent set next year- possibly just an easy garter stitch this like your first one you showed us. Thanks for the nundle wool suggestion - definitely need that !
I would love to see all your advents😊 I have knit the sweet shop Shop blanket and are currently knitting on the zig zen blanket. Can recommend them both😃
The only one of your (all beautiful) pattern options that I've knit is the Anthology. I've made three - it's VERY fun to knit. I get lots of use out of the one I kept for myself.
I am casting on the Anthology for New Years as part of Mad about Ewe Bougie Blanket MAL - I don't have advents, but pulled out a collection of browns, beige, orange and green to create it.
Thank you so much for sharing those beautiful blankets Ally! I have all of those patterns in my favorites. I'm pretty sure I want to use one of my advents this year (yes i bought 2 🤦♀😂) for a blanket. I'm torn between the Sweet Shop or the Northeasterly by Skeinanigans... looking forward to see which one you pick! 🥰Happy weekend!!
I’ve only gotten one Advent calendar, which was 2020 from Sweet Sparrow Yarns. I made the Wolop Advent Throw by Lieneke Bosman. It’s made for a fingering weight Advent of 10 g skeins, so it makes a small throw, kind of lap size or baby blanket size. I held the yarns with a strand of white Suri alpaca. It has a similar look to the Habitation but is knit back and forth, not on the bias, so there is no measuring of yarn to deal with. Have fun deciding on your Advent blanket!
I am currently making the Sweet Shop Blanket, very much fun.🧶 Just the size of a baby blanket. The Zig Zag Zen blanket is also on my wish list, looks so much fun and quite a few people here in Denmark have knitted it. Yes, let’s see your advent yarn collection 😊
The patterns are all pretty, I really like the Anthology but the others are nice too. The advent socks are looking lovely…after seeing your sock stash maybe you don’t need many more right now. 🤣😂. Have a great day and weekend👍🏼. I’m knitting this big scarf or shawl , not sure what you’d call it. I found this kit called the Pickle Jar , it’s a quart pickling jar with approximately 40/ 6 gram different variegated minis, includes one of two patterns, needle to knit in the round . Cast on and knit a long tube then Kitchener the ends together. I thought it might be to gaudy at first but they actually turn out amazing, I’m on my second one. 🙋🏼♀️

What are the cabinets behind you that have your yarn in them? Brand, size?
There is also the zigzag zen blanket 😊 br @nadiawind
