Only wish the SP model came with a different color scheme
What are you mad that's the whole point it's based on the R1M paint scheme and represents the top end bike of the range.
@@Carvetii Agree but it doesn't mean you have to like that colour scheme
I just hate the SP color scheme. I love that green blue
Yep this is what I was waiting for !! ❤️🔥👏🏼
Yeah after watching this I don’t see the need for the SP… maybe it’s just me but the regular 2024 MT09 is just fine 🤷🏻♂️
Nice work!
I like to look at the way it is presented... Subscription 👍
Exceptional presentation
very good video and understandable
Thx mate
You forgot to say that that Golden Front fork makes you look +50% extra cool!! 😂😂😂😂
Brooo... make video about new GSX-8R & GSX-S1000 SX please, it would be interesting to talk about it
Does the standard Mt09 also come with cruise control?
Yes
People complain about suspension of regular MT-09 before 2024.
Interesting how it'll be with regular MT-09 2024...
Is it not the exact suspension now? U think it could be better now?
I think the mt09 is enough for me and I don’t need the sp if the suspension is decent for a 90kg driver
@@Delb9891 I don't know ) I've got mt-07 and it's suspension is enough for me.
But must admit that mt-07's suspension is not so hated, like mt-09's
I just interesting how situation will be in next few years
@@alexpunisher4654 what you smoking dude, 07's sus is not hated but 09's is ? literally you should spec ohlins on 07 and comfy seat to even ride it, the 07 is notoriously bad.
can you make comparison between CBR1000RRR 2023 and CBR1000RRR 2024?
Winglets 😂
Nice
The previous MT-09 versions, the SP was worth it, but with this model it doesn’t. The 2024 base has all you wanted from the previous SP, but a bit cheaper.
I fully disagree - the SP is always worth its money, especially when you ride up and down serious mountain passes as hard as I do. And yes, properly set up, the SP is a gem on the race track, especially with only 182,7 kgs wet and 117 whp (modified).
@@SirMountainpasseven if you're pushing, on road use only the brembo caliper is something interesting. Even my yamaha dealer told be the sp is not worth it unless you just want the premium version.
Most things are not usefull (more modes, track screen, keyless, dlc)... it just add 1 kg to the bike.
Not sure the ohlins rear shock is much better on twisty and bumpy roads or as a daily.
So here again only the brembo caliper means something to me.

Then we are happy with the fact that every rider can make « his » choice - non-SP or SP 😉
@@SirMountainpass of course ^^ i did not mean the sp is a bad choice, just dépend on what you are waiting from your bike and how you're using it ✌️
Engine brake control seems useful on the road.@@siegfriedz8211
I've got 2021 MT-09, it has a weird handlebar position which causes arm ache after riding for a short time and turning angle is very small. Front suspension is good but a bit hard same as the rear. The throttle is too light to control firmly. And there're reports of many owners that this 890cc's frame is cracked which is so dangerous. I hope this latest model has been fixed for those issues.
The bar is different and there is more angle before it locks.
No one has complained the suspension is hard. Bring your bike to a suspension tuner, you've got it set up wrong.
I love the frame complaint from people. They crash these bikes hard and complain that the frame breaks. My favorite is when they post photos of a broken frame without providing context as to how it happened. 😂
Reg is good enough
guess the std is the clear winner for your money. Unless you just have to have the color scheme of the SP
FORGOT OHLINS suspension
Ohlins for rear shock only; the front fork is still kyb, but with a gold anodized finish and dlc coating, as I explained in the video.
@@SecondGearYT Yeah, probably the golden fork will fool many people... 🙄
@@MacAlex007 , mostly blacks anyways.
Only SP for me! 🔥
Looks like someone forgot his lap top in the bars of the bike. Screen too big.
For another 2k you can get an MT10, I know what I'd rather have
for usability and fun, me too MT09 all the day
in europe the sp is 13100€ ='(
I thought it has ohlins, 1700 more and just electronics?? Sheesh let me take the street triple rs instead.
While Japan is milking it China is sealing bikes like cigarettes in 90’s. Marketers just give up.
The new CFMOTO 450sr is actually not a bad bike, I like the 270 crank engine
So, you are basically paying $1700 more for a Ohlins rear shock which normally would cost you 1200 if you buy this item stand alone, plus a golden front fork painting and some software gimmicks……
you forgot to mention the BREMBO STYLEMA BRAKES in the SP version
And Smart Key-System
and enhanced quickshifter
@@--Boris-- You mean that ridiculous ugly ass cooker knob as ignition?
I think the SP is only worthy if you take it to the track. 🙄
Every rider is, once in a while, taking bike to a track, right? Right?
@@dizzicz If the bike is a Panigale, I think so. But if the bike is BMW R18, i don't think so 😄
In this case ( MT09 ) you'll probably find both types of people. Some take it to the track, some don't.
@@MacAlex007 track is the most safe learning environment. I think that riders should learn to drive regardless of the bike type. So there is nothing wrong with R18 on the track.
@@dizzicz I agree with you! And I think that some lessons on track should be mandatory to get the driving licence.
However, usually when people think on track, they think on race (me included 😅) , so it won't be easy to find an R18 owner with the mindset to take it to the track.
Also, if you're not racing or at least don't have already some track experience, it will take some time until you get full advantage of the Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes of the SP version. I think the normal MT09 is alot of bike for most people.
@@MacAlex007 even here I'll try to change your view. Beginner and/or ordinary rider, is much more probable to make an mistake. Better suspension (and maybe even brakes, however here I don't think that it is much an issue), you have bigger margin, where bike can handle your error. So while racer wants better bike so he can use more of it. Beginner wants better bike (suspension) to have bigger chance to handle unexpected situation.
And regarding racing, if baggers can race on MotoAmerica, R18 can either :-) Anyway if anybody don't understand value of SP version, it's completely fine, and standard version will do.
They should have bought out the SP and just be done with it.
Preferred these videos without the voice.
why does the SP have to have this boring color
Yamaha been overpricing their bikes lately. Especially the r7
nobody should buy the R7 to begin with. it's a stupid bike considering there are better option on the market.
I don’t think the sp model is worth the bag
Why?
It's worth it with ohlins rear shock and brembo calipers
Better brakes, better suspension and the rear abs can turned off. Def worth the upgrade
Maybe if the front forks were ohlins...
@@user-gi7rs3hw8r i didn't try these forks yet, but Ohlins aren't always better (maybe on track) because most of the times they are fairly firm for street riding
Nah I will stick with my Triumph Street Triple.
The headlight still ugly AsFK🤮 id rather have the old headlight those predator looking headlight are still the best.
do you think you can swap them if i buy a 2018 model headlight?
Too bad we can’t swap lights with csr headlight.
The color on those SP wheels looks like something from Miami Vice it’s ugly
Absolutely not
Holy shit you're really trying to pad the god damn run time aren't you?
The engines are the same...but the SP is a kg heavier...which changes the power to weight, but not by much...HOLY SHIT GET ON WITH IT.
Whata stupid video.of coarse the SP is worth it. I have an MT10SP and usedto have the normal MT10 and its night and day the differance with the suspension and the LCD screen andelectronic adjustment you pay for.
cb1000 hornet is the new 2017 MT09
Nice work!
