Wonderful video Mike. Nothing lost by having different locations or subjects. I agree with Roger, that I’m looking forward to your videos every Saturday morning. Thank you for the hard work and expertise.
I can't help it but every time i get to the end of your weekly video I say out loud 'Thank-you Mike' And I do thank you for your weekly menu of inspiration and excellence that it is a privilege to watch. Best wishes and keep it up please Bob
Great pictures and clip! Even without a story line. The title misguided me a little bit, but since I know there is alway lots of great images in your videos, I clicked anyway 😀
That Tawny Owl was a wow shot, but the Hare was beautiful too. Have you ever thought of producing a documentary, a 45min to 1 hour film with your footage would be awesome.
Mike, I'm glad you went back and did this composit video. If one doesn't do that occasionally some very good pictures can fall through the cracks. Thank you.
Good video! Taking good pictures requires good equipment, and knowledge about how to use it. But more: it requires knowledge about the subject -- where to find it, when to find it (during day, during season), how to approach it. And not least, hard work: you have to be out when things happen, and you have to be patient. And -- an idea. Thanks for sharing all this.
Another really interesting breakfast time watch. Really pleased to see the footage which didn’t originally get used yet still fits together nicely. Thanks again for showing!
Interesting and brilliant video, really tempted to get that 150 _400 mm lens just most my wild life is in Cumbria in woodland with my favourite animal the red squirrel, i live on the coast as well so should get there more, and a few other places
Some very nice images. I know what you mean about having enough for videos which are voracious consumers of images (and computer memory). As a retired photojournalist I alway preferred shooting stills to taking the videos we had to produce for our online product. However, to my surprise, the TV guys I knew told me they found it harder to shoot stills than video. For years we print guys saw everything in color but mostly shot in black and white while the TV guys saw with black&white EVF's but produced images in color. Just a fun fact for the younger photo/video enthusiasts of your audience.
Hallo Mike, nachdem ich Ihre wunderbaren Aufnahmen gesehen habe, kann ich nur sagen: Es wäre eine Tragödie, wenn Sie uns diese vorenthalten hätten! 👍🏻👋🏻🍀
@@MikeLaneFRPS Ok, just thought rather than sitting on an HD earning no money, it might earn at least a little beer money for the effort of just uploading it.
Fantastic rejects Mike😂, pleased that you have shared them. Love the cuteness, and the hare running towards you. You say the autofocus kept the focus sharpe, does this mean you were shooting on automatic setting - its a great shot
Hi Mike, thanks for all the videos you publish. I see that you mostly use ISO 1600; with very high shutter speed, there was plenty of light to reduce ISO. please let us know why you don't? Also, do you use any denoise software. I find even at ISO 800, denoise does help (OM1 mk2 and 150-400 f4.5 lens)
I do not see any improvement below 1600 iso (except in very poor light) so it is my default. If my subject suddenly does something unexpected I have a higher shutter speed to capture it. Every picture goes through DxO Pureraw noise reduction.
I'm glad the OM-1 mk2 does not have the plethora of video formats of the Lumix G9. There's no need for all that to post good quality online; these days most of the audience view on a mobile phone.
Brilliant - Loved the Tawny Owl! As always, thanks very much for bring such wonderful aspects of wildlife into my home.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice video Mike. What would 8.00am Saturday mornings be without your YT videos.
I keep thinking I should change to 6pm for more views. Lens still not repaired, but down to £412 now.
@@MikeLaneFRPS I tired the one before last at 7.30pm on a Friday night and that seemed to do better. Glad the price has come down.
Ah yes, nice to hear a mention of dear old Colin. Happy memories.
Fabulous video Mike. Shows the wildlife and the power of the OM camera. Thanks.
Thank you

More to come!
Just what I needed on this gloomy day. Thanks for sharing this beautiful footage.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
This was delightful, start to finish. Thank you for putting it together!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great film Mike, despite you thinking it was not worthy! I think my favourites were the hare photos, the two stags was very nice too! Cheers.
Many thanks!
a great video about wildlife, my country wildlife is great too!
Thanks.
Lovely video to watch Mike , so enjoyable. Thank you

That local park clip you opened with was like watching my year at Trittiford Mill. Another very enjoyable watch Mike.
Thank you
Fantastic footage - the Terrapin is a Yellow-bellied Slider, which is the same species as Red eared Terrapin/slider, but a different sub species
Thanks.
Awesome video and images.
Really nice video. 🙏🏻

Very enjoyable video. A lovely selection of "bits".

What a wonderful video. Really enjoyed the variety of topics and subjects. Akin to flicking through a magazine. Great work, thanks Mike.

Beautiful pics Mike. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing Mike, nice pics and vid. 👍
Thanks 👍
Good stuff again Mike, goes to show that there is far more to these videos than one first thinks :-)
Finding a story line is the best part for me.
@@MikeLaneFRPS I can see that, takes a lot of thinking about - which you do very well.

Excellent work! and well done..

Great set of pictures, Mike.

Great footage and photos. Maybe some could find interest on a stock photo/video site.
I made a living at it for 25 years but not possible any more. Prices too low.

C-af and 50 fps.
@@MikeLaneFRPS Thank you x
Really nice video footage! Do you use h.264 or OM-Log? If 264, which picture mode and do you do any color grading in post?
I have not got into log files. Seems a lot of work. so H264 and natural colour mode. Only occasionally do I mess with the colours in post.
@ it’s really good quality for 8-bit video. Always interesting to watch your videos, thank you for replying and keep up the good work!

what wonderful footage. especially the last one with the deer in the beautiful backlight.❤👏

Lovely. Fwiw I think videos don't need to be ten minutes long.

I am happy with the video quality but want 120 fps 4k with AF.
The last photo was great! P.S.: If you have the choice wich lens would you buy, the 100-400 or the 150-600?
150-600. The biggest problem with bird photography is getting close.
@@MikeLaneFRPS Thanks. Unfortunately I swapped my zoom for the 300/4.0 and now I miss the flexibility.
Its like you now have a car with 1 gear instead of 6.
