Well it's ridiculous in an ironic sense given that an assassin is the guy doing the killing not the being killed. Plus I think this might off been written before konsuba. Also this series was created by the author of redo of healer so expert ridiculous stunts and over powered characters.
@@Guardian-of-Light137 Honestly? It's not a bad idea. Authors struggle to find a good reason for the big bad guy. So often they end up not really being evil. They have their own reason, which is usually good. But your idea is quite different. What if the only way for the demon lord to be free is to finally win? An endless cycle of suffering and rebirth, where everyone hates him due to some curse. Eventually, he just decide to use his curse to destroy an entire world and create a peaceful wasteland where he can finally avoid any contact with other people. It's not helping anyone, it's not a "good" reason, it's just someone willing to sacrifice an entire world for himself. Eventually, whomever cursed him realise that rather than merely punishing him, he's unleashed an unkillable being that grow stronger with each iterations into various world. Trying to fix his mistake, he start by helping the people fight the demon lord. Then when it stop working, he need to bring people that he can manipulate better. People that don't follow the normal cycle of life of the current world the demon lord is in. They're consumable to this being. Because he care enough for these worlds that he cannot give these power to any being with enough genetical compatibility with the current people in the world that would then create a new lineage of unbeatable monsters. He bring people that will never be able to reproduce with the current population, give them power to oppose the demon lord, knowing full well that they might become the next calamity upon the world once they no longer have any duty and nothing can oppose them. Nonetheless, they're a temporary issue to this world. So it's good enough. That's not a bad reason to do it. Until eventually, for the endgame, newbie hero no longer suffice. He has to bring back previous heroes, that already have powers, make them even stronger because the demon lord keep becoming more and more unstoppable. These heroes then might as well be cursed themselves, one of them might even be cursed to follow the demon lord in the same world, but being cursed to be "loved" by everyone, so that he can oppose the other. Eventually, in an endless cycle of going back and forth, the only thing they can ever do is eventually agree that for this to end, a world has to be sacrificed and become a new graveyard for these cursed souls. Unable to fit anywhere, unable to end. They have to create a place for themselves, and since neither of them has the ability to create a world, they can only claim one. More and more heroes are created, used until they snap, getting more power, understanding their predicament, turning against the being that gave them the power in the first place and joining their original nemesis to find a place to rest. Not only can this make for an interesting predicament, you can condense entire stories into arcs of a few episode, each hero being in one, eventually reaching a point where the being that started it all simply doesn't have enough power to give to stop it. So many world ravaged, so many innocent killed so this cycle can end and these psychologically broken folks can create their place to rest.
