Amazing video! When I searched for the answer from the Tableau community questions, no one could answer this question and just gave a simple 'THERE IS NO WAY.' But here is the way! I love this video and the introduction of advanced functions. Hope to see more videos on the advanced functions that Tableau has.

Why are two attributes needed for setting the sorting? Why Sort By (Dimension) and Sort By (Measures) Also how is Sort By (Dimension) created as a Dimension and does it matter. Probally very basic questions

Would it be possible to sort this way 2 variables at the same time? Let’s say Office Supplies and on the side all the Appliances...

Will the sorting work as desired even after applying pagination to this kind of chart ?

Hello! thanks for the video very useful! May I ask a question regarding a calculated field I am doing? I have to analyze the profit of some hotels against some specific regions, I made a field calculated like this:
if [Hotel group]= “A” and [Sourcing Region]= "LATAM" then "Hyatt"
elseif [Hotel group]= “B” and [Sourcing Subregion]= "Mexico" then "Iberostar"
elseif [Hotel group]= “C” and [Sourcing Subregion]= "Cuba" then "RIU"
    else "Rest"
    END
Mexico and Cuba are in the Latam region, some hotels are compared with all of Latam, others with Mexico and others with Cuba. But doing this the calculated field does not give me results for Mexico and Cuba. It prioritizes everything in Latam and gives 0 sales in Cuba and Mexico. Is there any way to do?
I mean how can I obtain the value independently for Mexico, Cuba and Latam. Thanks in advance!

The error says "Argument to MIN (an aggregate function) is already an aggregation, and cannot be further aggregated. I couldn't stick the image in my comment below.

Great video...very useful! Thank you! Question -- how do we create a parameter when we have dimensions with different data types? For e.g. I'm trying to sort a table with many dimensions of which are few are strings and few are dates. It's cumbersome to create separate parameters for each data type. It would be great if you could show this with an example! Thank you
