some thirty years ago on more than one occasion on our way to Scotland at 6am we called in to Motherwell and looked round the depot. Always made welcome by the staff and its nice to see this video as a reminder. thank you
Thanks for uploading this great footage. It brings back good memories of when I was younger. I used to cycle up to Motherwell and Eastfield depots. I walked into Motherwell a few times and the guys were always happy to show you about. I was also in Eastfield a few times. Sad days now and with the way health and safety is they don't want you anywhere near.
Eastfield was my old depot I was a fireman second man 1974 onwards thanks for the memories

The red cladded building at Motherwell was the Texas DIY home store from memory....remember walking the lines of locos there in the day.

Did you work out of eastfield traction depot I was a fireman there 1974 my uncle was a mainline driver also eastfield
