  • Enjoy triple head 37s on iron ore wagons to Ravenscraig Steelworks,
    a class 26 on a trip freight and class 86/5s on speedlink duties,
    and plenty more besides.

    Excellent footage, I remember going along to there a few times in the early 90s . Sad to see that most of those locos rolling stock and traffic has long gone.

      Thanks very much for the kind comments, and i'm glad you have enjoyed the footage you have seen so far. Since i now live in Scotland i have made a few more films of the freight up here but i still have quite a few older videos to upload first.

    Ah yes when we were still at school but with our first, crummy cameras but quality film to look back 35yrs later on what's now gone for good 👍.

      Thank you Duncan glad you enjoyed this video.
      Just a shame that vantage point wasn't still accessable like it was back then

    many thanks for this as it brings back so many happy memories of better times 1000 times better than todays few locos e.g. class 66 on boxes or stone workings

    To think a year later, all eight class 86/5s were converted back to 86/2s.

    You got yourself good spot there. I don't think you would be able to film from the same vantage point today.

      Oh if only you a ! Mind you you won't see that many 37s and 47s as back then.
      Thank you for watching.

    Lost count of the number of times I filmed fromthis spot. Unfortunately the place is now fenced off,so you can't get near it now.

      Yes it's a shame Hugh as the nearest i can get to film there now is Holytown, but that's better than nothing i guess. Thank you for watching and have a great week. Colin.

    Great vid. Any ideas as to why the bottom of the cabs was cut done on 37373?

      @colingarwood9971  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul thanks for watching my videos. I'm afraid i have no idea why 37373 had the bottom of its cab noses missing, kinda like a cars bumpers missing.
      Regards, Colin.
