Idk if it's just cus they're sprites, so they don't really have many unique features, but FF6 had exactly that problem for me.
I remember Terra obviously and locke, and there was some ninja dude. Everyone else are a blur.

That ending theme “sky’s the limit”, so painfully beautiful.
Finally played the DLC a few days ago. And once again I was struck by how incredibly well they re-imagined a classic track, keeping everything that was great about it and reworking it in fantastic ways.
the main character from FF Intergrade just now joined the team so she's in the game as a playable party member thats so awesome they did this !
There are things I found great about the original that they didn't keep.

@@Alejojandro she was playable but not the MAIN HEROINE OF HER OWN GAME which she was in intergrade she is as powerful as Cloud at this point wonder what route they will take with her in part 3 which they say is coming out 2026 mid march im assuming

Yep. They turn Nobuo chidish's musical tune into a true masterpiece. It's both painfully obvious and embarrassing.

Not Nobuo. He may never be able to create something that epic (even though he is epic in his active period). 80% of the credits should be addressed to the new composers in this case.

Those saying the original is better are blinded by nostalgia, probably scared straight by the passing of time too 😂 this rearrangement by Hamauzu is incredibly well thought out contextually, and his use of chord extensions and dissonance is always extremely emotive and eargasmic. You people need to grow tf up

I just like the instrumentation of the original ff7. The tubular sounding midi sound track still sounds soo good. Even when it was brand new it had a sort of nostalgic sound to it that is hard to replicate

I just realized because of this thumbnail that Yuffie was censored in Rebirth. She wears a belt now and buttons her shorts together. Nothing else was changed as far as I can tell on her character.
1997 version is best in my ears, less is more.

Je trouve au contraire que la version du remake met le thème de Yuffie encore plus en valeur (l'instrumentalisation est beaucoup plus riche pour correspondre au reste du jeu), le tempo plus rapide pour la partie combat colle parfaitement au perso... ;) Après peut-être qu'une nouvelle version du thème sera déclinée dans la suite du remake quand elle rencontrera l'équipe de Cloud.
why am I not surprised the new one can't even follow the music score when they've changed the entire story?
It shouldn't bother me as much as it does but it so freaking well does.
They get the pitch wrong, the tempo wrong, even the rhythm is off.
It's like the people doing the musical score, they've got the cliffnotes version or have listened to the music once and said they know it.
and I know that Uematsu is on the billing for it but if he signed off on this he's lost his ever loving 60 year old mind because this is crap. The damn orchestral collection is better than this and that takes liberties with the tone of certain parts.
