- In this video I bring you guys up to date to where the 2jz swapped celica stands, I’ve still got a lot of work to put into it but it’s almost at a stage that I can start the engine. I plan to make more videos on it this spring and summer and I hope you guys enjoy the journey
#2jz #celica #2jzswap #engineswap #toyota
he told toyota, "FINE, I'll build it myself". crazy build sir.
2JZ+Celica = dream
DAMN!!! WOW!!! A lot of people are cheering you on. A lot of us want to see you succeed in this build. This is something that we only have dreamed about and you are living it. Turning thoughts into reality
This is why I want to put in my Celica
I’m sure a lot of us would love it if you could go more in depth with your front subframe and motor mount situation
This is one fo the most underapriciated cars
The headlights are the best part about the front of these cars. I’m not into the custom ones BUT, if you like it then rock that shit! Other than that this is such a sick build. I’ve always wanted one of these with a B or K swap. The body style is just so good looking to me. They never got the recognition they deserved cause of the low hp engines I guess
I'll be watching. Thumbs way up. Also, please show and talk about making the celica rear wheel drive.
Underrated channel I can’t wait to see it drive
I started the channel last October so yeah it might be a bit before it takes off, until then things might be slow due to budget but I’m not giving up on the 2jz swap!
@@Jager_M its sick man please dont give up on it
Man this is one of those builds that ever since i was a kid, would say something like "man it would be so crazy if...." Then just brush it off as a dream. It's like youre playing Forza in real life... Awesome build sir, looks beautiful and I cant wait to see where this goes. Is it RWD, or are you going full send AWD??? If you go AWD, you'll officially have the sickest Celica in the known universe. Subscribed
Sadly not awd but it will be rwd. I do want to later build my ideal celica that would be a turbo 6 speed awd but this is just a stepping stone to test my skills
Crazy as much as the guy who swapped a jz into a civic. Keep on it.
In Germany nearly impossible. 😅👍 but yes Great dream! Thanks for duing this. And i Hope some Drive vids would follow 🖤🤗
what the celica should've gotten crazy work man
Using a black leather seat as a creeper is insane lol.
It’s just my relaxing chair when I wanna sit down, it’s actually the passenger seat but I plan on replacing the seats at some point
youtube will work out bro... just keep pushing... been doing youtube for 3 years... the key is just dont stop... im a new sub
That’s what I’m trying to do, just keep making videos and atleast I’ll have something to look back on even if TH-cam doesn’t work out, honestly the editing has been kind of fun
Nicely done 👍 I found your channel today and subscribed as well sub:105
Very nice
You are my hero for this build. Congratulations on the house as well!
Thank you! It’s got 4 garage stalls and I’m loving it!
Awesome build
This is great, hope you’re channel takes off man!
Cool build, also sick you bought a house. Looking forward to seeing more of this project man
going to be watching your channel for a long time if you keep posting like this
always loved the Gen 7 Celica... just it always wish it had the power... now it does good ish fam
Dude that’s sick! Definitely going to stick around and see the progress. 🙏
those headligts look amazing man, new view for sure
good stuff
My brother in christ PLEASE upload the results xDD I'll be hella watching your channel like a hawk from now on xD
Working on it! I’m still figuring out how to get the negative signal from the ecu to spark the plugs, the coil pack is looking for a positive signal so I’ll either convert the signal or use different coil packs that spark off of a negative signal wire, currently looking into 2zz coils
Sub’ed. I like where this is going. I didn’t have to guts to do something like this on my 2zz 7th gen. I can’t wait to see more.
This is sick! Keep it up!!
I want to use one of those engines in my jeep🎉
This is wild!!! I always felt this gen Celica should've been rwd with its aggressive styling. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see it running!
Absolutely insane though great job I hope I have the nuts to attempt something like this one day
Just do it, I thought I would be in collage debt and struggling in life right now but life took a different turn and I’ve just been putting work in and now I’ve got two cars a bike and a house at 19, thought things were impossible and proved myself wrong, don’t doubt yourself until you’ve tried with everything you’ve got!
AWESOME!!!! WISHING YOU THE BEST BRO
Headlights really modernise it.
They work for the idea I had but I really wish someone could professionally make them so they would come out better
This is awesome man! Subbed to see where it goes!
Appreciate the update bro, good work too
Thank you
you need more subscribers and support this is huge, subscribed
Thank you for the support! I’m hoping I can use TH-cam to support these projects once the channel is big enough
@@Jager_M I hope so too you deserve it. this does alot for the car community. Good luck here waiting anxiously.
Ambition for the Win !!!
Such an amazing build! I look forward to see it finished.
I hope you focus on reliability vs power because Celica is light and 2jz turbo stock is already powerful enough.
Having a lot power is cool and all but Too much power can become undrivible and unreliable.
Kind of my plan with the car now is just see if I can get it finished and use it as a street car for fun and shows and just to test what I know and learn things along the way
if you make an fr or a 4/awd out of this celica you win
I would be more inclined to do something like this if I understood the wiring aspect and knew how to weld. Sotering is one thing but a engine swap wiring is another animal.
Wiring is definetly a whole other animal, I think what helps me is most of it is either a positive or negative and depending on the wire it might change voltage but all the wiring does is connect the electrical parts. Also definetly testing my skills with this project
What type of rear end did you put in it. I am doing the same thing but possibly with a sbc v8 and am trying to figure out what to do for the rear end. Please respond
I saw a guy on TikTok so something similar after I had already put the rear end in but it’s the rear subframe from a G35, 350z works too, you only need to make 4 mounting points for the subframe and then a custom shock set up
Ok, thank you for responding and I'll do that
Love what you did with the headlights
Such a sick build. I can’t wait to see what happens with this
nice man looks great!
Excellent !
That's Cool
Keep it up ! Just subbed !
how is this not blowing up (on TH-cam💀)
Dope can’t wait to see the finish build !You got a new subscriber but what is that song name 😅
Rameses B- keep you, I find all my music on NCS’s TH-cam channel
i love you for this
Call haltech for help in run start with labtop there great an love project I be watching u 😅
It should have it's hood back.
I wanna see how you make those lights, i wanna do something simillar with the sc
They aren’t good quality I will say, I modified the original lights with a dremel and glue and mounted pod lights with a light/turn signal stop to get the look
Looks like what i had envisioned for my Gen 6 Celica. Please tell me that exhaust pipe ain't going to be staying and you're going to put an actual exhaust on?
Nah that’s just for texting, later I’m going to make a 3” exhuast run out the back
Omg youre building what everyone wished Toyota would have done with celica , so is it gonna be RWD converted too?
Yup, I put a g35 subframe in the rear
2j prices be crazy. Im tryin to swap my mk3.
Gtes are expensive but I got a ge and swapped the pistons, they can handle almost the same power just by changing the rods
@@Jager_M did you have to drill out the block for the oil squirters to the turbo?
I didn’t drill for oil squirters although you can do that but I did have to drill for the oil feed on the side of the block for the turbo. The he and gte block are the same, the ge just doesn’t have everything milled out that the gte uses
@@Jager_M ive seen that. Its a flat spot in the casting. I may just go the 1jz-gte route for ease, cuz i want this build done asap. Theres a 1j and r154 for 3700 i may just jump on.
RWD or AWD?
1.6 GR engine from Yaris/Corolla would be a bomb, too.
I’m just doing rwd but later I want to build my ideal celica and it would basically have the power train like a gr corolla
@@Jager_M Nice! Please measure your car center of gravity/balance (roll center), to determine where to put some stuff, for better performance overall.
That car, at the end, sure need Supra wing itteration. Great build, man!
I’ve got a TRD celica wing I was going to use and some photos of a body kit I was going to get but that’ll come later when I get to body work
Wish Toyota still knew how to build good cars. They lost their way back in the 90's.
Personally I think they are getting back into making some decent cars but it’s definitely not the same as they used to be
video on the headlights?
I made them before I started TH-cam but I can try and detail how I made them in a future video
Man I need to know how you did those headlights
Used a dremel on the original housing and bought new light to install, I based the off r35 headlights
@@Jager_M but the white covering on it? 3d printed or really good bondo work lol
Bondo work with vinyl applied over it
Can you do a write up I need to do this
I’ve got a google doc that I’ll probably show when it’s done that includes all the parts and how much I spent on everything
what the f... ❤
How much did this cost you?
So far in parts $10,500 roughly
I feel like this project will not get finished by you 🥲
I accept that as a challenge
