- Hey everyone! 🪕🌼 Another Thursday another banjo upload 🌞 Sorry for the wind, it seems as though there is nowhere in the Atlantic without wind, and I didn’t have any indoor space to record. I decided to do a duet with the wind 🍃 This is from The Bay of Fundy in Canada!
This week’s tune is Bowling Green. I am playing with Aquillia NylGut strings!
"Bowling Green" is a traditional folk song that originated in the United States. It's believed to have been written sometime in the 19th century. The song tells the story of a man who regrets leaving his true love in Bowling Green, a city in Kentucky. Over the years, it has been recorded by various artists in different styles, including bluegrass and country. The song's enduring popularity speaks to its timeless themes of love, regret, and longing.

I miss Kentucky sometimes. When I lived there I liked the area but didn’t care for the culture. Now I don’t miss the area, but I miss the people. I hope they haven’t changed as much as the rest of the world. 🙏🏻
I’ve never been to Kentucky but I have heard that it is so beautiful.
@@talisetunes I planned on a couple months, but it took a couple years to work my way back to Maine. It’s got some very beautiful areas. I was there before the opioid crisis, but I bet it’s still quite lovely. Every pretty little stream was full of cars and shopping carts, and you didn’t want to be a Yankee in the woods without a gun… but there’s something magical about it still.
@@talisetunes bowling green is a town in Kentucky, but it’s also one in Ireland. I’ve never been to that one
Hard to say which is more impressive, your musical talent or your fashion sense. Both are timeless.🤗❤
Haha thank you!
The wind is almost neverending here on the cobequid bay, especially this year. That was a great performance, and I hope you are enjoying our little slice of heaven here on the east coast.
Thank you so much! It was so beautiful❤ I would love to move out east one dayz
How i enjoy your Thursday uploads. Here in England they help make my Friday!
Thank you for tuning in☺️
This is my favorite version of this song ever. You give it such a dream like trance inducing longing. I got so lost in memories I’ve had to listen to it three times because I get distracted by the road traveled.
Awh 💗 Thank you so much! This is definitely one of the favourites I’ve played
Such a pleasure listening to Talise Tunes on TH-cam .
Awh thank you❤
As always,,,,,,,,,beautiful 🎉
Thank you always!😊
Nice! Never made it to the Bay of Fundy. Makes me think of Gordon Bok and Stan Rogers
Every time I think of Gordon Bok I'm happy! Although that song he did, 'Bay of Fundy', is one of the saddest things ever. 'I don't mind the wet and cold/I just don't like the growing old'
@@kavimontanaro7976 I agree. Never learned that one, some of it is for that reason. I'm 70 now but the tree that tried to kill me two years ago aged me more than the growing old.
I hope you are someone's older sister. You have really grew into this. Again great job and please keep posting.
I have a little brother!❤ he definitely isn’t a big banjo fan though haha
Nice job young lady 🪕🪕
Thank you☺️💗

Thank you so much!
Another Thursday, another beautiful song. Thank you!
I would compliment the scenery but i couldn't take my eyes off your right hand.
Right hand was greatly influenced by the scenery so all the same!❤
Great job Talise on this old Cousin Emmy favorite.
Thank you🌞🌞
Hello from France ❤
Hello!❤
awesome!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks!!💗
Good song and playing.
Thanks so much ☺️💛
Love it, always amazing. You just need to invest in one of those fuzzy mics that don't pick up so much wind :) - Thanks for sharing your art and soul.
I have a mic but I don’t have a place/functioning editing system to set it up right now :/ hopefully down the line!
Great job!
Thank you so much!
This shit goes ridiculously hard
Ty ❤🌼
Thanks for the tune :) God bless and keep at it!
Friendly tip - when you have someone working the camera with you pay attention that they're not positioned in a way where the mic picks up their breathing. The wind is fine and more difficult to deal with, but hearing breath intakes from a close, unseen source is much more distracting and can take the mind away from the music. Otherwise lovely as always.
Yeah, I didn’t notice that until after it was posted unfortunately!
💕🪕🎶🎵🎶😊
I am getting a banjo for my bday! Any tips on what is a good one for a beginner?
Yes!❤ I would suggest the channel Play Better Banjo for the beginner clawhammer playlist. That’s how I learned!
