Go to wilko for basics like pots and pans because they are super cheap and affordable there
You need to go to IKEA gal 🌟 Also!! 100% get all your own kitchen utensils and pots pans etc! You think you will share but you really won’t and things get lost to the depths of uni hall kitchens X

You did a great job! When I moved to uni this time 3 years ago I got most of my stuff at Wilko because it was super cheap - what are you doing about knives/pots/pans/wash bin etc? Also it's always a good idea to have at least 2 of everything in case you have guests/people round or staying so they have something to eat off or drink out of! Excited to come on your moving and uni journey!

just so you know at my uni halls we werent allowed any kitchen appliances in our room and they checked like weekly but that might be different for yours

Decent haul and I'm glad Christopher the cactus found a home. Deffo prep yourself a freshers flu/first aid kit. This will save you from having to go out when you're feeling grim/ hungover to the nearest supermarket (which you can't even locate) to buy small qualities of flu remedies. Not that I've done this or anything..... 😌😢😝
You will need more than one set of cutlery!! Just in case one goes missing or anything like that

I know you’re probably waiting but stuff like oven trays and your own pans were stuff I found essential! I know that everyone I’ve met in uni wasn’t really prepared to share this kind of stuff and everybody used their own. Also, maybe 2 of each bit of crockery (plates and stuff) in case you have guests! Also a bath mat and laundry basket x
Although I thought that I would only need 1 of each for plates ect if you have friends over from other halls or you drop one and smash it by accident it's annoying! Enjoy uni life girl xxxxx

If you still need more things go to b&m or a home bargains! Did my whole uni shop for under £300 by getting most of my stuff from there!!
I do think I’ll take a trip there, I just don’t have one that close by but once I’m in Leeds I’ll be living in B&M😂
Honestly worth the trip in my opinion lovely, they have some fab storage bits as well for so cheap for when you've seen your room, mine have lasted well all year and are coming with me for second year! But yes good should, B&M is gunna be your saviour 😂😂

Grab some powdered milk. Then you don’t have to pop to the fridge when you make a cuppa and if the milk runs out, you can still have your hot beverages.😁👍🏻💜
I’m about to go into my 3rd year living in halls and I’d recommend buying another set of plates and bowls as people will want to come stay with you! Also make marks on everything that is yours to make moving out quicker and easier! X

From experience I’d recommend getting another plate! I had one but got sick of rewashing it like 2/3 times a day, so I bought another one so I could do my washing up in one go in the evening! Depending on how often you use bowls etc I’d recommend more than one of all stuff like that x
big tip unless you wanna wash up cutlery 24/7 you might wanna get 2 of each looool
Unless you're in a flat that has catering for you, you're definitely going to be doing cooking

Hey Molly! Sometimes uni's can get fussy with electricals like the kettle in your room without it being PAT tested / because its a fire hazard!

Just a heads up but they sell small double bed sheets and mattress protectors at a store called Harry Corry, don’t think there is any stores in England (I live in Scotland) but you can order them online and they are really reasonably priced 😊
I'm in leeds too x don't know if you have picked your accomadation yet but I wouldn't recommend plaza. I was there last year and near exam times it flooded so bad we had to be moved out

If youre going to have your kettle in your room check the details of your tennancy thing because I noticed on mine (after a year of living there already) that we're not allowed any kind of kitchen electronics in our bedrooms, and it specifically mentioned a kettle. I mean obviously it would only be a problem if you got caught, but still it could mean you're breaking your tennancy agreement so I'd double check to be safe :)
