Actually Joan and Lita had dinner in New York a couple of years back and Joan passed on contact info between Cherie and Lita which is how they reunited. Not as acrimonious as people want to make it out to be. I think there will be a reunion down the road at some point !

The Runaways deserve a lot of respect, but it's puzzling that Fanny - who were earlier and produced four good albums - now seem forgotten, as they were true pioneers. Someone should make a film about them!
if you look back at the timelines, Joplin's hit music first happened in 1968, the band Fanny hit in 1970, and both Heart and the Runaways became popular in 1976. impossible for people to judge the mix sound of a posted video like this: it was a LIVE performance, and unless you were standing right there listening to it, you don't really know how it sounded, especially in a downloaded you tube video. Leave it to say, that song has a lot of energy, always has, and the musicians are always having fun playing it.

Why isn't Joan Jett singing with them, obviously the original bass player of the Runaways isn't going to join in and Sandy West passed away, but Joan Jett really should be there.
Couldn't they ask Michael Steele to join. I mean, it would be really cool if the four of them and an added girl on drums could release a CD, or Chistmass CD with new songs. It would make the fans happy, increase record sales for the old Runaway albums. Even if it was just one album and if they didn't go on tour together it would be better than nothing. We can understand that they're busy people with their own lives, but one album would do it and I would buy it.

On the other side of the coin, Music biz A&R assembled groups Guns And Roses along with Poison and many others of the era were the purest examples of late 1980s corporate manufactured metal. Blend together predictable song arrangement, sanitized monochromatic melodic composition, and then package all of that into a skillfully fabricated listener demographic friendly image and viola- you have garbage rock like G&R, Poison, Warrant and Bon Jovi.
I love these guys so much! I also love that Cherie is now a professional chainsaw artist (she was on an episode of the Kardashians) and Lita is still performing. 💗🖒
Nice to see Cherie is doing well. I know she struggled with addiction in the past, but she's obviously gotten her life straightened out. I know Lita also had problems with her personal life after getting married then divorced from Jim Gillette. Both seem to be in good form.
I was introduced to the Runaways when I was in 8th grade in 1977. I had been given a Creem magazine by my then 'girlfriend' because I was really into funk at the time and there was an article on Bootsy's Rubber Band. I remember a review of whatever Runaways record that had just come out and it started "These bitches suck...." Don't remember the rest of the review said, but that stuck in my mind. I don't think any magazine would print any such thing now. In the same magazine there was a photo of Tom Petty, saying he played punk rock. Wow! Wish I'd saved that magazine.
It was great to see a video of Lita and Cherie together again. I am a huge fan since the 70s. Still hoping to see a reunion of The Rumaways in some form.

Turning down volume on the guitar itself affects the tone a lot, the amp was too loud. there's a reason Van Halen put a tone knob on his volume pot.
