'Cause the creators put more time in the story mode that in the fights berween the characters. You were were dying too easily during a fight. The only good thing in the fights was the Final Smash. And when I say this, I like the game but I have to admit it's not perfect.
Because the characters were unbalanced. And it had slow mechanics, it wasn't as technical as Melee and tripping. But I get more nostalgia for this game than Melee.
I hate how world of light butchers and ruins what makes this game and subspace so great and plus brawl overall while having flaws in the gameplay was a way better game and worth it in general for experience compare to the crapshoot that was ultimate
