I started a new game from the tutorial cz I got bored of playing my main community and the military guy I got at the beginning was so amazing so I actually completed the play through just to send him to the legacy pool He has active military immortal and tough he crazy
Man, imagine if you got lucky enough to roll a survivor who had the traits: Unbreakable (-100% Injury Chance, & a large boost to max health), Indefatigable (Reduced Fatigue Severity & a large boost to max stamina), & Never Got Sick (Immune to Blood Plague)! That Survivor would be damn near invincible! :P
Would be awesome, I prefer Just Keeps Going over Indefatigable since it provides a slightly bigger Stamina boost and Blood Plague Survivor is immunity against Blood Plague. Never been sick and Incredible immune system provide you +100 infection resistance to your infection bar (so it's doubled) - not to be confused with +100%
I had luck similar, yet Overshadowed by the other two. Unbreakable. Great Cook. And I think the last one is "Never been cold" or something that gives +20 max stamina I gave her a Good Combo and Nutrition, So when I use a Kitchen, I get more Stamina.
No activation pal - you get 2 to 3 on your starter characters automatically filled and the rest will be randomized if you enlist a survivor as follower and he starts a story at some point (mostly on peaceful scavenging and drives)
Traits are 100% passive, no manual activation required, because they are always active (and not all traits are good, some are outright bad....like any trait that says "Annoys Irritable Survivors", as those sorts of traits will cause your own survivors to get into fights with each other [which will negatively affect your group's Morale if left alone, and if a survivor's Morale gets low enough they may actually decide to leave your group permanently, so these sorts of Survivors generally should be given the boot unless they will only start a fight if you don't have a specific Facility built....some Survivors get upset if you don't have a Watchtower, for instance], so if you get a Survivor with only negative traits, exile them, they aren't worth keeping around if they have nothing positive to bring to your group). Some traits are amazing to have on any survivor though, like Unbreakable (they get a huge boost to their total health and they are effectively unable to be injured), Indefatigable (Reduced Fatigue Severity, huge boost to total stamina, and their stamina drains *VERY SLOWLY* ....even without a skill like Marathon to reduce that sort of stamina drain), and Never Been Sick (effectively Immune to Blood Plague). If you ever get absurdly lucky enough to somehow get all three of those traits on the same Survivor, then congratulations, you just rolled a literal God as far as Survivors go. Also, just as a tip if you have yet to complete a playthrough, I would suggest doing so with a Builder leader first to unlock the Builder Boon for successive playthroughs (always have both Food & Water permanently active for that entire playthrough), it may not sound too impressive on paper, but in practice it can make it much easier to maintain a fairly self-sufficient base since you won't need to waste a build slot (or the resources) on a Generator. And if you have any other questions, feel free to ask me, I've played both the first game and this one. Just don't ask me about the harder difficulties like Lethal....I'm not a masochist. :P I don't mind a challenge (this is why I like games like Mordheim: City of the Damned & XCOM!), but I *don't* enjoy when things are outright *unfair* as far as difficulty goes (30 minutes to cure Blood Plague before the survivor dies on Nightmare, and just 10 minutes to do so on Lethal? Yeah, no thanks....).
@@gamester512 Exactly! You did your homework well :) Unbreakable, Just keeps going, resilient, keeps hidden pouches, hard to kill, immortal, exuberant, indefatigable, fights defensively, quick study, never been sick, incredible immune system, blood plague survivor are all among the best!
Just started State of Decay 2, so in order for me to get a character to unlock their 4th trait, do I have to have them follow me and kill things with me etc?
Cool video man. This video made me discover some really interesting traits in this game. I never had anyone with the immortal trait before. That was certainly very interesting to discover haha. Which mods do you use in this playthrough?
Yeah and Resilient, Keeps Hidden Pouches, Hard to Kill, Exuberant are also all great and similar to Unbreakable or Just Keeps Going. I really appreciate your feedback as always buddy :) I just used the Dead End Heaven mod.
I don't think so, getting 3 on new characters is max I haven't encountered any with 3, the last one needs to be uncovered by enlisting them and let 'em share their stories.
You cannot manually add them (unless you use an editor mod) but you can also get characters with 4, there are 4 visible you get shown. Just enlist community members of yours to follow you and then they start having conversations and reveal their traits to you.
@@OxiBLiTzxO Of course, not all traits are good. "Competitive Eater" for instance is a very bad trait for a Survivor, since it means that your Food stores will be depleted as though the survivor with Competitive Eater was 2 different Survivors, the trait literally doubles their daily food consumption. So when a soldier I rescued (it was a pair, both of whom joined me as part of the mission) had that trait I very quickly gave them the boot. I was tempted to just let them get killed by either Blood Plague or just losing too much health (to get the "Sayonara" trophy), but I decided to just exile her since she was costing me 2 Food per day instead of the normal 1 per day.

I usually have a blunt companion because npcs do not use executions that much. So instead they just knock down entire hordes lel
That's an awesome and intelligent idea buddy, I'll keep that in mind. Very much obliged :)

How do I activate the traits?
I create new characters and I don't see traits activated.

Yo thanks this will really HELP
No survivor missions pop up after this update started a new community played for hours only managed to get one person through an enclave
That's something I also reckon and it seems that I rarely get new Enclaves - Update 18 did this.
You guys just need to search for more survivors

New to State of Decay, can you change or added traits? I see that your characters have 4 traits?
In addition to this, if I have a character with 2 traits, can I get them to have 4 or just 3?

Glad you asked: -50% Standing gain for that character.
