I’m going out of Newport Oregon this weekend. If I get a lingcod I’m filleting it!
Helpful explanation! 🙏
Fresh lingcod is much better than fresh halibut in my opinion.
If it's frozen, I'd take the halibut, if it's fresh, gimme the lingcod every time.
I agree halibut is way overated.
My lingcod filet was blue.
They say they get that way from eating squid because of the squid ink.
Will turn white when you cook it
@@andrewmurrieta936always wondered that makes alot of sense.
Lucky you!
I like catching rockfish and eating them . Grill them with lemon pepper, and they taste like candy.
So simple, so good. :)
That's not a lingcod not a real one anyway real lingcod have a teal tint to the meat and tastes phenomenal
Lmao. Wrong
I must agree @@goatspringsteen7624
Lol I've caught allot of lings in my day I've seen green white blue and a tiny of orange in there meat all same species of fish.....lingcod
Lucky you - you got a blue Lingcod. About 10-20% of Lingcod naturally have a blue hue and blue meat (which cooks up white). But rest assured the lingcod in our video was as real of a lingcod as your blue one. Glad you enjoyed it!
