The interior of this place is beautiful! No dust, no mildew, no water or rot damage. The rooves need to be replaced, but that's the only real damage I can see. This place can be beautiful once again.
This one actually made me cry because if I had ever been blessed with that kind of money this would be the home I would have wanted. The furnishings and everything else. I don’t understand how rich people can just walk away. I can understand if there are tragedies and you can’t come back but how some people can just walk away from everything and just start over fresh like their past or present never existed is beyond my comprehension.
I immediately started thinking about the house I grew up in, and actually got a lil bit depressed because of how much I still want to go home. These people had no care whatsoever, I just don't get it... Was this place haunted or something..?
So if you had been blessed with money, you would have found appropriateness in the rapacious use of resources, land, and space to go to you alone (referring to the mansion)?
@@mikegarippo7815 I have a very large family and we all would have loved this home and what it offered. When you come from nothing and you don’t have the luxury of having a beautiful home and land it is something to be thankful for. @@myangelcourtney He showed the guest house. I did look up the mansion and it was beautiful. Though I had seen it before and never new it was located in Chicago or that it had a guest house. It's very sad considering the first video I saw was 3 years ago. Check it out some of the other videos, they are worth it. It's all gone now.
This truly was a beautiful home including the contents. Why they let any home rot like this is heartbreaking.. I am sure many wonderful memories are in that home.
This is like the 3 or 4th video of yours I watched. I just realized how isolated these multi million dollars homes are from everything and anyone. I see this and just appreciate my 2 bedroom apartment that I can keep up and keep clean. I can just imagine the water, pge, house cleaning, lawn care, property tax and the cost to move everything to another house is mind blowing so I think that is why they just get up and leave with just their valuables and personal belongings. I think these homes should be used for seniors to live in like a resort and not confined in a small room at a convelesant home.
You seem to have a good heart. Imagine the expense to keep up a $20 million home. The heat and electric alone! Meanwhile, I love your feelings for the homeless and the elderly. May God bless you.
What wonderful place . . . I would love to live in this place. So bright and cozy. Bigger than my own home. By the way, thanks for posting the Bible verses at the beginning of your videos. I think that's awesome. Thanks for sharing this great place with us.
Their Horizon Farm held three of the state's top stallions. The family had a high interest in racehorses, which you'll understand a little more when we take a look at the horse farm! @Didn't Ask...Don't Care It's sad but that's the reality. People have zero respect for anything, including themselves sometimes. This is a lovely place. I can't imagine why they didn't take their belongings at least? Or do they also lose that too in a foreclosure? I'd surely be taking my personal stuff for sure. I hope it doesn't get abandoned for too long and really get decayed like alot I have seen on Y.T.
In foreclosures, whatever is inside when the bank takes it gets locked inside with a type of padlock that is hard to break. I had a family member who went through this one time. In addition, if property taxes are owed and the county takes it, the same thing happens and the county or whoever purchased the taxes can lock up the home the same way. The county or city can and often do sell your taxes if you do not pay them. You are still responsible to pay them but to that person instead. They only sell the back taxes so the current ones each year are still owed to the county as usual. Oftentimes, the person cannot manage to pay up both the back taxes and current taxes so they loose the home with the property. The person who bought the taxes then has a right to lock up the home.
@@brendacluney2052 Thanks...it's still kinda sad scenario. I hope that at least the owners got their real (sentimental) personal items out before it all went south? If not I would least think the owners would be allowed to collect those small personal items that mean something to them and don't really have any/ much monetary value and most likely would be of no use to anyone else anyway.
At what point are you allowed to film and explore? Also, what happens to the items and home after you explore? Have they been purchased, cleaned ? I have so many questions. Are you allowed to take items?
What they do in most cases is, call in salvage people to come and bid on the contents of the house. ( they are not allowed to see what is inside) who ever wins the bid can take whatever they want. After the house is emptied they then bulldoze it down. Salvage yards usually have a store we’re they sell the things they find in houses.

Why did you capitalize "siren"?
I'm surprised that the buildings haven't been pilfered through. And why hasn't anyone claimed it as squatters.
At what point are you allowed to film and explore? Also, what happens to the items and home after you explore? Have they been purchased, cleaned ? I have so many questions. Are you allowed to take items?
No there not allowed to take anything but leave things how they were yes they are allowed to film and explore
@@amandaastley9137 no they are not allowed to film it is called trespassing
What they do in most cases is, call in salvage people to come and bid on the contents of the house. ( they are not allowed to see what is inside) who ever wins the bid can take whatever they want. After the house is emptied they then bulldoze it down. Salvage yards usually have a store we’re they sell the things they find in houses.
