Imagine, being 60+ years old. After recently becoming, obviously, very well off. You decide to build a home for you and your wife. And this is what you envision. This home was meant to be a symbol of what he had accomplished in his life. Also being in his 60’s during construction led to the entire home being built on a single story floor plan. If he died in 2006 at 93 and it was built in 1983 then he was 70. Wouldn't that tub and marble floors be dangerous for someone 70 to 93. The guest rooms were tiny and the kitchen n other bathrooms were underwhelming. Overall the rest of the mansion is stunning. It was built in 1983 so not surprised the kitchen is so dark. I was expecting it to be beautiful and white with marble.
he built the house out of greed if he wanted to be remembered he could of used the money to help people with the money it took to build this home in the 80s he probably could of built a 100 homes on 50 or so acres and gave em away to the homeless

It needs a roof with a pitch on it. Flat roofs tend to leak too often. My workplace is ALWAYS fighting water leaks. I would LOVE to have a kitchen like that!! Those walk-in closets are awesome! Gorgeous!! My whole house will fit in the master bedroom 🤣
If he installed the burglar alarm system on the original owners, I doubt there are any photos. The mansion was originally built in the early 80’s, but the original owners went bankrupt in 1990, and they don’t live near the town the house is located in anymore.
Love this video 😍 wish you could find photos of what it looked like furnished that would be interesting. Did they have family? Wonder what the plans are for it. Beautiful home ❣️
It's a shame cause it's just been sitting for year's and deteriorating so fast. It would be wonderful if someone could do something with it cause it has lots of potential.
Bathrooms and Kitchens really interest me the most. For example when you see more than 6 burners on a stove, the owners plan on large meals. The master bathroom in this mansion didn't have a shower. I found that quite odd, considering the size of the bedroom.
This place took my breath away! That master bedroom is definitely the best room of the place, followed by the indoor pool!! Just sad to see that the place is in need of renovations.
I know it’s been said many times, but this would make an incredible wedding venue. You could youse the master as the bridal suite, all of the guest bedrooms for the rest of the wedding party/family. The ballroom would make a great location for ceremonies and/or receptions.
i remember this was rented out for events a few times in 2009 -2010 me and my brothers would sneak in i remember using the indoor pool and taking drinks from refrigerators left from events

Just discovered your channel. One thing I love about you is how respectful you are of the families/previous owners' homes. You keep it clean. Not to mention you do your research but dont give out too much information. Blessings to you and your beautiful wife. Keep up the great work. The two pools can also work for when they have big events/ parties with many people. Or separate the old people from the young people when its family events😅😅😅
If that place was fixed up, that ballroom with bar could be a great wedding venue. Rent the space, some guests rooms, could be a great place to stay. Not sure about location but, the house is giving me that hotel kinda vibe. Could have potential.
Mind blowing on so many levels. You just have to wonder what type of personality would want to live in a house like that. It was an interesting explore, but as I've said I prefer the older and dusty with lots of artifacts.
When you walked around the huge room on the opposite end of the house from Master Bedroom, I was fascinated by the fireplace with the huge windows a few feet behind; that's quite unique. It first looked like someone could walk between the fireplace & the windows, but you only allowed the camera 2 quick glances of this area! I could only see there was no opening at the bottom, (so no walk-through) but I really wanted to see above that. Future videos would be much improved with less time spent on things like identical chandeliers & light fixtures (one close-up of each was sufficient) or the big wreath box then the big wreath, and more time on unique design elements! Looking for to future explorations here.
It hurts my heart to see it abandoned because someone put so much of themselves and lots of money into it, but it would be super expensive to maintain but it is lovely.
Much I see with all these houses, I have a smaller mansion, people pass away and I learn much from all these homes. The thing is, you lose what really means much to you, family and it all gets really messed up. I'm realizing that what really matters is gone. These episodes is going to help me in much. Your gift is helping me as I have treasures in my house. I want it to be perfect. It all is of God.
I saw the thumbnail and knew exactly where this was. As a college student, I saw it for the first time in the late 80s. I have lived or worked in that town since. To my understanding, no one ever lived in the house. I believe it was partially finished and more work was done over time, but never occupied. There have been different plans for it, but nothing has ever materialized. It sits yards from a very busy road so anyone who could afford to live there would probably pass for something with more privacy and a better floorplan. Mr. K built an independent hotel that is very similar in style and layout to the home. So as one of the comments stated, he probably built it based on that design. I had never seen the inside until this video, but it definitely feels like a 1970's era hotel. It also feels like he handed the builder a sketch on a napkin and a stack of cash and said get started. It is great to finally get a look at the inside of this quirky spot.
You said it was previously designed as a hotel. That's why you see the first big spaces it makes sense as a common area for guests. It still looks very splendid. Love it. Thank you for showing these amazing places.
Many thanks to the kind owner for letting you share this magnificent house with us. .I can't even imagine what it looked like in it's prime! I pray it will be restored to it's full potential in the years to come.
From my point of view the blueprint cost was pocket change to the owner compared to the land and actual building cost he paid for it and the contents therein, not to mention the cost of property taxes, homeowners insurance that he had to pay even extra for due to it being built with a flat top roof, electricity, and the upkeep of it inside and out daily.
That's what I always think about in these videos. The original owners would have spent months working with an architect, hand selecting samples of materials for everything from carpeting to wallpaper and countertops. The architect would be constantly revising the plans to arrive at the vision of the owner. They both would have put so much time into it and surely would be sad to see it left to abandonment. Happens all too often with these homes though. It's that level of customization that often does them in, making them impractical to renovate to someone else's taste.
I know where this place is. As a kid I loved this place, I wanted to live there. Thank you for sharing so I could finally see the inside of a mansion that I have always wanted ❤❤❤
I was surprised that there was no shower in that master bath…and compared to the vast size of all the rooms…those guest bedrooms were extremely tiny! Beautiful place!!
That first room is a huge foyer. The main foyer you named is not just a foyer it is a Grand Entrance. Off the master bedroom is a sitting room. Very nice. The kitchen is surprisingly simple. Completely functional but utilitarian.
Really reminds me of this Really old coal miner in Pennsylvania my dad use to take me to his property/ranch had a crazy 1 story house like that and he had so much land with like 7 different cabins on it, it was incredible and the best hunting I ever did. I always remember the guy telling me as a kid he was a millionaire twice and broke three times from the coal business lmao that was back when a million dollars was actually a status
Your right. It would be amazing to be able to see this mansion, when it was first completed and furnished in all its glory. And even better... Would to be able to see it, with a side by side comparison. Thanks for giving us a tour. Did you ever do a final count on how many chandeliers?
In most mansions they have hiden rooms, if I had one most definitely in the book case Or wall never know some old mansions do have them. Great video loved the garden tub with poles. But with space room in that bedroom you would think that the bathroom would be huge.
With a house this big why would you put a washer dryer in the kitchen.I can’t imagine what this cost to have such a bad design. The bedroom is bigger than our house and garage.Wow👍
Such a shame, all of these lonely, empty, houses. From front and back, minus the pool, the house brings to my mind a hospital. Imagine how cold the house would be in winter with all of that marble to try to heat. The chandeliers, switch plates, door hardware, and the wallpaper were my favorite things in this house. Thanks for the tour.
I can't imagine building a home like this and being able to afford to live in it. The cost of upkeep and maintenance must have been astronomical. But it sure is fun to imagine it! It's a lovely home.
Awesome video, I’m fascinated by the strange floor plan. Like why’s the kitchen soooo far from the dining room? The washer and dryer in the kitchen? No shower in the master bedroom? And finally there doesn’t seem to be like a family living room lol.
That house was amazing I’ve never seen so many chandeliers in my life so much marble I love the wood in the kitchen it almost looked like cherry thank you for taking us along
Amazing mansion! I hope it’s repaired where needed and can be something! I could not imagine getting to even walk thru something that big and fancy! I loved the front entry, the openness and big window above! I’m going to watch this again! When I saw the preview pic I couldn’t wait and definitely did not dissapoint! Great video!
The entry to this mansion reminds me of the entrance to a mall.Simply amazingly gorgeous. I am so glad that time capsule hasn't fallen prey to vandalism, or other crazy activities
My thoughts are ostentatious. I think if they turn it into a extremely wealthy assisted living facility it would be perfect. Thank you for the trip through the White House!
I find myself wanting to name the rooms like “the ballroom “ or “the salon” etc schist for the fun of it. There’s soooo much gold leaf going on there. Just beautiful
I thought outdoor pools had to have nets over them so animals wouldn't fall in. I also noticed no vandalism so their security works. None of that stupid graffiti! Amazing they just don't rent it out. Enjoyed your walking tour of this house.
I think that the bedroom suite gave more of an intimate feeling than the huge common rooms. I wonder how much time the couple spent there v.s. the other big rooms.
The bed room is insane! I’d 🎉get my 10,000 steps in every day just getting from the bed to the door. Imagine being super tired and you hit the bed room door and you still have like a mile to go. I’d probably pass out on one of the couches along the way. 😅 I don’t like that there’s no windows in the Master bath. Wonder if the room with the tall narrow cabinets lining the walls was a smoking room and the cabinets were humidors for cigars.?? Looks a little narrow for a wine cellar that’s also a possibility
Those chandeliers blow my mind and those light switches! Never seen anything like those. All gorgeous marble can be repurposed as well as the cabinets etc. To need a place like that you had to have entertained a lot to have a ballroom! Loved that pink marble andthe indoor glass doors with the birds in the design!! Well done!!
Congrats on the New vehicle 😊 It actually looks sort of like a Retreat Mansion/Home like for Dignitaries! idk fave room the Blue 🔵 Room or the entry way!
All the candelabra were that pink color. Interesting, very formal looking home. Definitely not an expert, but some of that material may have been quartz? Thanks for showing us everything and taking us with you. I know time probably wouldn't allow, but I'm always asking you in my head while looking.."hey, let's see those surviving flowers and plants". Especially in summer. I've been known to visit vacant lots and taking clippings of the older plants and giving them new life.
That is beautiful. Thank you for calling your wife darling when you first went in. Sweet.

The thing is, you lose what really means much to you, family and it all gets really messed up. I'm realizing that what really matters is gone. These episodes is going to help me in much. Your gift is helping me as I have treasures in my house. I want it to be perfect. It all is of God.
Wow, what a stunning house/mansion. I love the fittings, the marble, the crown moldings. I just love all of it
I saw the thumbnail and knew exactly where this was.
They lived in the house for 6 years before they lost their fortune and bank foreclosed on it.
It would be cool to see all these places in their glory days. This place would make a fantastic wedding/reception venue
It has more of a museum vibe to me...beautiful but cold....thank you...
Kitchen cabinets and light switches are a dead giveaway to it being a 1980's house. Frozen in time!
Have to love the 80s pink and seafoam green vibe in the interior design. Such a popular color combo of the decade.
Simply Stunning.. I hope the owner can start making it a livable home again!!🙏🏻🤗🙏🏻
You said it was previously designed as a hotel. That's why you see the first big spaces it makes sense as a common area for guests. It still looks very splendid. Love it. Thank you for showing these amazing places.
I love the sweet scripture on your videos! Thank you!!!
Many thanks to the kind owner for letting you share this magnificent house with us. .I can't even imagine what it looked like in it's prime! I pray it will be restored to it's full potential in the years to come.
Can you imagine the staff required to maintain all that ? Chandeliers = work for cleaning..marble columns = work cleaning , etc....
The stained glass is so beautiful.
I do stained glass, and I truly admire each piece.
Drawings for buildings are really expensive so just imagine how much the plans cost for this place!
What County/City is this in?
I love watching you bc your actually respectful about a lot of things
This place is absolutely amazing, they spared no expense when they built it.
I grew up in the 80's where this is located and always wondered what it looked like inside!
What County/City is this in?
Which town?
Where is the family?
We had a huge marble mine here in Batesvile AR. I wonder if any came from here. The capital buildings have our marble
Keep Rockin' Banks.. Hello to Dakota! You both are truly blessed...
Happy new year’s to you
I was surprised that there was no shower in that master bath…and compared to the vast size of all the rooms…those guest bedrooms were extremely tiny! Beautiful place!!
Honestly I think that those little Teensy bedrooms with the little bathroom looks like servants quarters
"In my Father's house are many mansions." Won't it be wonderful there?
Yes, more wonderful than we could imagine!
It sure will
@walkbyHislight I totally agree
This place is fairly close to where I live, it's a shame it's been abandoned but I'm glad to get to see how it looks on the inside!
These over the top homes are hilarious ! A winter and summer pool, now that's a first. Love this stuff, so entertaining.
What an adventure! Thank you for sharing someone's dream, once upon a time! 🌿💙
Looks like a small factory or warehouse that someone converted into a home .
Funeral Home that’s it, looks like it. Why hasn’t the guy that owns it, sell this or what’s his plans? Such a shame….thank u for sharing!
Your right. It would be amazing to be able to see this mansion, when it was first completed and furnished in all its glory. And even better... Would to be able to see it, with a side by side comparison.
Thanks for giving us a tour.
Did you ever do a final count on how many chandeliers?
What a beautiful home. Attention to the smallest of details. Lucky owners.
Amazing place!! You have come a LONG way in your videos and presentation. Excellent work.
Thank you!!
@@BigBankz thanks for putting Scripture in your work that's amazing 👏
I can only imagine the memories that were made in this place.i loved the tour.
In most mansions they have hiden rooms, if I had one most definitely in the book case Or wall never know some old mansions do have them. Great video loved the garden tub with poles. But with space room in that bedroom you would think that the bathroom would be huge.
Very cool exploration guys 👍 there is some real fantastic details in there but it gives me an 80s shopping mall vibe 😉
This would be great for a wedding venue, and rent the rooms for the wedding party. Love the look of this house. Gorgeous
The wood work in the kitchen is beautiful.
Did you notice the locks in the small bedrooms? Safety locks used in hotels! I find that strange for a house to have them! Enjoyed the tour.
The original owner made his fortune in hotels
Maybe servants' bedrooms.
I hope someone will bring this place back to its glory 😊
With a house this big why would you put a washer dryer in the kitchen.I can’t imagine what this cost to have such a bad design. The bedroom is bigger than our house and garage.Wow👍
I thought the same thing about a washer/dryer in the kitchen. So out of place in that mansion.
It’s for convenience. That’s why they put it in the kitchen.
Exciting! Looking forward to seeing it!!
I am glad everyone is watching over it,keep it from being vandalised.
Hideous place. Great vids
I like the way you show all the details of a room. It’s exactly what I want to see
Cant wait to see the full exploration! Seems to have been a once beautiful property. Keep up the good work 🤙
That house was amazing I’ve never seen so many chandeliers in my life so much marble I love the wood in the kitchen it almost looked like cherry thank you for taking us along
Happy new year’s to you 🎉
The entry to this mansion reminds me of the entrance to a mall.Simply amazingly gorgeous. I am so glad that time capsule hasn't fallen prey to vandalism, or other crazy activities
My thoughts are ostentatious. I think if they turn it into a extremely wealthy assisted living facility it would be perfect. Thank you for the trip through the White House!
Facts, just a waste of money
Sadly, most assisted living folks aren't wealthy.
Exactly my thoughts, there was a lot of wasted space in this house just to make it bigger and more grand i think without really serving a purpose.
Drug/alcohol rehab center and place for therapy.
They would need to add extra bedrooms.
Wow. I cant believe nobody baught this. Truely beautiful
I think that the bedroom suite gave more of an intimate feeling than the huge common rooms. I wonder how much time the couple spent there v.s. the other big rooms.
That huge pink fire place ..beautiful
And the pink wall paper with raised floral design
This place would be great as a wedding/event venue.
Too pp
