Great song, greater story! Remember she wrote the book when she was 8 - 9 based on her experience as a 6 year old. You should read the book, from my point of view, it describes what it is like to be an empath.

Always enjoy you doing Angelina's music, you are def. one of my favorites. I know it was not the purpose but the bare feet is genius in marketing her message. She doesn't need to say a thing, just sing barefoot and the message is reinforced and spread to those that are not aware by those who know the story. Her interview on tv where she sang unchained melody was something special where she read from her diary---what 6yr old comes up with that? That is fine writing for an adult with some skill.
I do not know Angelina but this may be one of the reasons she stays so humble and appreciative towards her Angels and continues to carry herself with such grace and class. The song title is from the book she wrote about her meeting the girl--Angelina called her a princess and the girl responded that she was a princess but did not live in a castle but in ruins.
Can't wait till you get to "When We Were Young". I think you did her younger version and if you did you may want to listen to it before you do the video. Five years--five years between those. Hi Jesse - great reaction to this touching song and story, Angelina is one of a kind and has a heart of gold. She inspired a small group of us to organize the Go Barefoot for Princess Challenge on June 1. Princess is the name she used for the girl she gave her shoes to, and of course is the subject of this song. A few dozen angels in 11 countries went barefoot for at least an hour that day, thinking of Princess and others in need, and did volunteer work, or donated shoes or clothes or financially to local charities or to some of the Angels' work, in addition to several other creative efforts. We're working on a documentary now about the activities of that day, which will be released on the Labors of Love for AJ (TH-cam) channel. Thank you to ALL who participated, and for your patience as we work on the documentary 👼❤🥰

Hello RVega60s, I am in L.A. but will be attending solo as well via a General Admission ticket and so the lack of secured seating not concerned as it more than likely will be a venue with standing room and some probable bar seating. Hi Jesse, I'm so glad to see that you're back at it and I hope things have improved for you. Angelina was 6 years old when she met the young orphan girl in the Middle East. The story of giving away her shoes obviously had a huge impact on her and has stayed with her for her entire life. There is a beautiful short interview with Ann lindmo on Norwegian TV when Angelina was only 9. She had published a book called Between Two Hearts which is the story of why she sings barefoot. She became the youngest ever published author in Norway. The interview is approximately 5 minutes or less but it's incredibly emotional and you get a glimpse inside the brain of this angelic young girl. I highly recommend you react to it. Stay well!

The book she wrote about the shoes, made her the youngest published auther in Norway, at 9. Norway has called her a Country treasure.
We don't expect any releases before the concert now, or I don't I should say. Since she's debuting new music there. Maybe we get Bad Valentine before hand, that would be🤗, and most of her fans have heard it I guess. Likewise for this. Who knows 🤷♂️. But I'd be shocked if we got any more than that. She has lots of unreleased music though, doesn't necessarily mean we eventually see this one released. BV we do know was at least planned to be released, and we do expect that.
You very well may be correct, that we won't get any more new songs before her concert on September 20. I am an optimist and hoping her concert will be the first time she sings a new album full of new songs, which get released prior to the concert.

The way she apologized on insta for it, when teasing about news, her Toby Collab, and everyone was getting excited about a potential album. So if not she may end feeling the need to warn us again.
As long as she knows it's her own fault for being so good, on the EP and everything since. And knows any timeline is ok with most of us.
I don't know about the timing there though. Maybe it happens like that except the album gets released a Friday or two after?

I used to love working outside, now I can’t due to Stage IV Cancer and severe pain, also, enjoy the time you have with your dad, you never should take that for granted either!
No Shoes
When AJ was very small, she meets a girl on the steet in a foreign country that was weighing people with a bathroom scale to make money to buy food, the girl did not have shoes, so Angelina took her shoes off and gave them to her. AJ stated she would not wear shoes while performing until ever shoeless child had shoes to wear. AJ has helped raise millions for charity, so she is not just the greatest storytelling signature vocalist in the world, she cares.
Hi Bel. I loved the story about your kayak "adventure" and it made me smile 'cause it reminded me of a similar misadventure( not so sure of the spelling) I had back in the day. Me and my friend Max were in Bali for a while. In the middle of the island there is a big lake, can't remember the name. Anyway, we were on some shore of it and on the opposite side of the lake there is a prehistorical site open for visit by tourists like us. Of course there was a motorboat to take you there but,just like you, with the swagger and foolishness of youth, we decided to make the crossing rowing on a canoe made out of a raw tree trunk. Craziest most stupid thing I've ever done in my life. It took us don't know how many hours to reach the site which was no more than 1 maybe 2 km away. At first sight it looked fairly close. Bad mistake on our part. We barely made it. We sweated our buts off. It took us quite a while to recover enough strength to be able to stand on our feet. The song now. Of course is masterpiece of songwriting. The line that particularly hit me is ... a broken telescope for dreaming. Shakespeare, Shelley, Yeats couldn't have written anything more profound and impact full than that. I'm sure Chris will forgive you.😉👍👏🫶👋

Not only is this song beautifully written from a lyrical point of view, but melodically it’s also brilliant. It’s very uplifting and rhythmical, whereas Jordan could have made the melody sound very sorrowful, like the girl had no hope, instead Jordan has joyously taken up her Crown, given the girl her shoes and given her hope for the future. If this song doesn’t make you feel emotionally spent, your soul is in a very dark place. I really don’t think Jordan is given credit for being the brilliant songwriter that she is. For instance, absolutely no one understands that Bad Valentine is the follow up to Now I’m the Fool, two songs about unrequited love, written from opposite perspectives. In Bad Valentine she sings in his voice “I thought I told you I would mess up girl, I warned you right from the start”, he goes on to say “you are a FOOL to try “ 3 times in the song. In Now I’m the Fool she sings that he even calls her a “mistake”. Everyone assumes Jordan is the bad valentine because she’s singing the song and starts out saying “I stood you up on Valentines”, but she’s actually the one who’s sitting alone at that table for two getting stood up. Listen to Now I’m the Fool, pay very close attention to the lyrics, and then immediately listen to Bad Valentine and see if you don’t get the connection. She even sings the songs in two totally different voices. Now I’m the Fool in a hurt, feminine voice and Bad Valentine in a stronger, more masculine voice!
