When Angelina published her book about her encounter with the shoeless girl, there were severel people who claimed that it was a publicity stunt. Publishing “Between Two Hearts” was not Angelina’s idea. In an interview, she said that she is much more comfortable expressing her thoughts in writing and singing rather than conversing. That book might have never been published if it wasn't for a family friend. Erling Kittelsen, a Norwegian Author and poet is a friend of Angelina’s family. During one of his visits he noticed Angelina busy writing on sheets of paper. When he inquired about her writing, she told him that she was writing a story based on some of her diary entries and she showed it to him to get his opinion. He was so impressed with the depth of her words and the structure of her sentences that he suggested that it should be published. I would recommend everyone to get her book if you’re able. They’re very hard to come by even the digital copies. The title of the book is “Between Two Hearts”. Her grandmother did a lot of artwork depicting the encounter. She published it at 9 becoming the youngest published author ever in Norway. It tells of her encounter at age 6 with the poor, shoeless, pauper girl, about the same age, trying to help her remaining family survive by offering to weigh people on the street for a few small coins. In the book Angelina refers to her as princess and girl tells her she doesn’t live in a castle, she lives in ruins. I’m 63 and my role model is 18!
Who, at 6 years of age, would take the shoes off her feet and present them to an orphan girl she met in the streets of the mid - east who was standing before her with no shoes and scarred feet. Hearing this song which is dedicated to that little girl, my memory went back to when I met a nun who served under 'Mother Teresa' in the slums of Calcutta. She gave me a small photo card of 'Mother' with the following words on the other side. 'God hath no greater love than for those who come to the aid of a stranger in desperate need'. I don't even know if 'Mother' would have been as perceptive as Angelina at 6 years of age and do what she did.

Such a beautiful song in words and melody and a very important one for her to write as it is, as she said, her identity. She said she wrote it “not too long ago”. So it is really brand new. I was just saying yesterday that Angelina has done more for the betterment of the less fortunate in her 18 years than I have in my over 68. The reason this song is titled Princes of Ruins is because when Angelina decided to call the little girl Princess when they met at 6, the little girl said yes I am Princess but I don't live in a castle, I live in Ruins. I would recommend everyone to get her book if you’re able. They’re very hard to come by even the digital copies. The title of the book is “Between Two Hearts”. Her grandmother did a lot of artwork depicting the encounter. She published it at 9 becoming the youngest published author ever in Norway. It tells of her encounter at age 6 with the poor, shoeless, pauper girl, about the same age, trying to help her remaining family survive by offering to weigh people on the street for a few small coins. In the book Angelina refers to her as princess and girl tells her she doesn’t live in a castle, she lives in ruins. I’m 63 and my role model is 18!

this song which is dedicated to that little girl, my memory went back to when I met a nun who served
under 'Mother Teresa' in the slums of Calcutta. She gave me a small photo card of 'Mother' with the
following words on the other side. 'God hath no greater love than for those who come to the aid of a
stranger in desperate need'. I don't even know if 'Mother' would have been as perceptive as Angelina
at 6 years of age and do what she did.

We were at this first concert where she debuted the song. It was a great surprise. Such a beautiful song in words and melody and a very important one for her to write as it is, as she said, her identity. She said she wrote it “not too long ago”. So it is really brand new. I’m hoping that she plans to record it and release it soon. Maybe it will be added to her album whenever that is finally released.
