Hello. I have the TG-7. Yes, it's a good little camera. But I must say that the functions dedicated to macro (microscope, microscope control) are only "marketing" modes. All the results you get with these modes can be obtained in A mode, by choosing AFS. In fact, I've configured the C2 button as follows: Iso auto, A (-> AFS), Flash auto. I don't use the "microscope" modes, which do nothing for me, and worse, restrict my options, for example when using flash.
I just ordered a TG-7 as an always-having-in-my-pocket camera, but I'm excited about the macro modes because I'm fascinated by the micro-universe and I love macro photography as one of my disciplines. To close in up to 1cm is new for me and I can't wait to try it out. I got the ring LED light as well so the shadow of the camera will not make a well exposed photo impossible.
great camera but I wish there was more control over the noise reduction in the focus stacking mode as the noise reduction often kills the details of close up shots. I want to turn it of or put it on minimum but it is fixed at normal level.
Hi! You may have either SOVF or Night vision (Live view boost on OM-D models) switched on. These modes give you a constant balanced view of the your scene regardless of the settings results. This is usually used when using flash.
Gorgeous photos, thank you 👏🇨🇦
WOW. Amazing macro camera!!!
Nice millipede and marsh marigold.
Great little camera

Is there a way to process RAW images? Or you only shoot jpg? Your answer would save me.
I just bought this camera without realising it did all these things. Now I am waiting on its delivery.
We wish you lots of fun exploring all its featues!
My macro pics all look super white, color washed right out of them. But it doesn't look like that on the screen when I take them...🤔
