Honestly I have no words to truly describe how good this was. 1st you have Luz trying to reherse what she would say to her mom and then the ominous warning of the deadly weapon LA CHANCLA!!! 2nd Camila not over reacting and just being glad that her daughter has come back safe and sound, or at least in mostly good health considering what they had just been though. Not to mention, not prying too much into what has happend for the last few months. 3rd Camila thanking the gods that Luz has friends and a girlfriend. And taking the effort to teach them Spanish as a means to communicate and in Amity's case probably impress Camila when they finally meet. In which case was highly successful. 4th and probably best of all, the proud momma moment where Camilla wants everyone to stay the night, unaware of the current situation, and uses her "momma bear" strength to hug Amity and Luz where Luz has accepted her fate to the hug and Amity is basically clawing for dear life to get out. All in all a really great comic story that should be included in the specials coming out for the final season
I love this comic to death and as much as i would love this to be canon, i have a feeling the reunion going to be WAY more bittersweet. its just hard to imagine that the hexside squad would be would be glad and cheerful, let alone Luz. They have no idea what is happening with their families, Eda, King, or anyone for that matter. They also have no clue how they would get back to that realm without a portal key, titan blood, etc. Also you gotta remember although Camilia is amazing for helping Vee, she would be hesitant and reluctant to let Luz go back there right when she just got her back and felt she was the sole reason Luz went to this realm. NOTE: not bashing the comic at all. i love it. but just wish it was more realistic in tone.
Well knowing that philip somehow ended up in the boiling isles means that theres a way in, and im sure luz would convince camilla that she needs to help her friends (eda and co), that she simply cannot abandon them after everything they have done for her, plus she has to help her other friends (amity and co) find, help and get back to their family. Plus she knows how to make a door already and im sure with more expertise from the collector and King's blood, she can make a proper door from whats left of the older one. Who knows, maybe the new door was the door that started it all, caus time travel is possible. Camilla would rather luz staying but she knows that her daughter needs to do this for her new friends, that she cant abandon her only friends she finally made after all those years.

I dunno where you keep finding these but omfg this one made me cry so much. the fact dana said the fan-comics were all permissible, the works of fanfiction, everything, that's an artist and a writer who knows their fandom, knows the people who make it and encourages to make it a great one, garthsquared has done so many of these as is and they all either make for a cute and funny slice-of-life style minicomic or fill in gaps in key parts of the story and i love that, it's like the star wars expanded universe books.
I love the small details. Like Hunter being truly terrified of la chancla since he is used to physical punishments :( And Camila asking if their parents would be alright with them staying, not knowing the suffering they just went through .

Overall I loved the end and how supportive Luz Mom is brought me to tears really really loved the comic and I love the owl house! but in my personal opinion as a mexican that had to live in a shelter to get away from an abusive home, I hate it when stereotypes of poc parents being abusive is portrayed as a joke, it just further stigmatizes poc children in abusive homes searching for help or freedom from very physically & or emotionally abusive homes, I think Luz’s mom seems great, but I have always hated the chancla stereotype, I just want to see a poc parent represented as very healthy and supportive, I dont believe children should ever be hit under any circumstances, it is abuse and even threats to a child cause emotional scars, and so many of the people that say it did not affect them are the people that grow up to treat their own kids with the same mistreatment and it is a cycle that needs to end.
Amity there is no escape from a loving mother's embrace 🤣just accept your new life and future medical bills due to hugs so hard that you need a spin and rib cage 🤣😂
