The first AC has a special place in my heart. Altair is my all-time favourite Assassin.

@N7Andy I completely agree. I personally don't really like Ezio. He's alright but no where near the height of Altair, Edward, Bayek and Connor in my opinion. (Although old Ezio is really good.)

Yeah I get why most AC fans don’t like where the franchise has gone. But I personally adored every game. No matter what game it may be or how it plays. Yes I do have pretty weird standards. But weirdly enough and you can belittle me if you’d like, Valhalla, the newest game, for me is my favorite. Not because of how far gone the original formula is, but because of the place, the setting, the emotions, the characters, the relationships, all of that which makes a game great. As well as because I have Scandinavian blood so it hits close to home to know that background and what times were like in general. Nicely it paid more homage to Assassins Creed by giving Eivor an ACTUAL HiddenBlade, and you can get the legacy outfits as well as the actual Hidden Ones Basim Outfit, As well as his sword. But just using the beards Eivor has for the Male version you can make it look great with the legacy outfits like Altair’s, Basims, Ezios, and even Bayeks.
I think the RPG Style Assassins Creed games are beautiful for what they are, but while they are still connected to the main continuity since Desmond was in Valhalla and became that watcher of the calculations entity thing. Due to their RPG format, I personally think as a community we should be the ones to make our own personal judgements on whether they are fit to be connected.
As always this is just the way I see it, feel free to agree or disagree, I just thought I’d make a point.

You may have noticed the tutorials take a long time to complete when you don't read the text. That's because it's waiting for you to complete the listed move, "Press X again as soon as your sword makes contact." This will never happen as long as you're mashing the button
The singular best part of AC1 is planning your assassination. This mechanic can be found in the pause menu, under memory log. Every piece of intel you collect forms a more complete picture of what the assassination will look like, including maps hidden behind the "VIEW ATTACHMENT" button. If you don't do this, you're playing half the game. This mechanic would return in the series never
Altair carries three weapons for a reason. The sword has forgiving counter windows, the dagger is always dual-wielded with throwing knives that automatically target distant enemies, and the hidden blade can assassinate enemies that are either on the ground, cowering, or taunting. If you want the combat to be more fun than hacking at grounded enemies 120,360 times in a row, you'll need to utilize all three
The hidden blade can also instant counter kill although the price fornthat is that u cant attack and its very hard to get a hidden blade counter kill.

AC 1 is just the best out of the rest of the ac games, Alatirs progression understanding that there's no difference between assassin's and templars and that making him a better person, dark and creepy atmosphere during that time period and music and the mystery throughout the whole game also probably being the most realistic ac game out of the rest they just nailed it with this one 👌also I don't know why this game feels heavily similar to Skyrim or the witcher but that just makes it better 👍
Technically this is the best assassins creed game since every other ac game is different, meaning there not like assassins creed 🥴

Are these videos a joy to watch? Absolutely.
I went to Rome during the christmas and saw in My mind Ezio and the others from brotherhood there. I Still enjoyed black flag, later half of AC 3 and THE last 3 games in different ways. But liked Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla in that order. To much headless running in AC Valhalla. But "the feel" from AC 1up to revelations, unbeatable. Also RIP Dennis
Later half of AC 3?? How can you prefer that over haytham. I still remember thinking at the start that haytham was an assassin and being so shocked when he turned out to be a Templar. His combat and mannerisms were so much better than Connors. His missions really felt purposeful and cool. And were all round good. In comparison, some of Connors could be dull.
@@Basisreallycool i agree that the character haytham was Good but it felt for me like the game started with the introduction of Connor. And perhaps if we har more time with him people would have liked him more. For me it ended with so many more questions than answers regarding Connors part in all this.
@@Max1990Power yeah I definitely think that Connor was done dirty by Ubisoft and that really held back his potential. I wish I could like him and and his missions. But he felt really two dimensional and it seemed like he had no personal growth since he was a child. I was at first invested in the game by haytham. Then by wanting to see Connor get his revenge on Charles Lee. And then by haytham and Connor meeting up and seeing that dynamic. But from then on, I really did feel like the game was still carried by haytham.
Going back to Connors character, his homestead missions brought out another side to him which I really appreciated but unfortunately I did 90% of those after the story finished. Ubisoft also held back an endgame monologue which would have contradicted my statements that he was "2 dimensional" and prove that he had underwent some personal growth.

Your videos always makes me laugh, specially the actual comments series sometimes I play them while working out they are really funny.
One thing I love about AC1 you can turn off most of the HUD elements and play only using audio and visual clues, kinda like an immersive mode of sorts, kinda funny nowadays ubisoft games are plagued with a shit ton of pointers and U.I elements
I'd love a remake of this but seriously doubt ubisoft will ever do it

Every time I play the first Assassin's Creed and I journey to Acre, I'm always reminded in the Holy Land scenes in the BBC Robin Hood TV series. Strange comparison I know

I do believe, to this very day, it's a shame they did not release an updated version of this game with the release of AC: Revelations. I actually expected this. Further down the road, the port of the Ezio Trilogy on the PS4/Xbox One offered the chance to get an updated version: Swimming, combat same as AC2, updated graphics. Nothing happened. Shame, really.

The only assassin creed games i have 100 procent completed are 1, 2, brotherhood and revelations lol
The first game had always been the best for me despite what the people were saying about it this game hold a special place in my heart because it's the one that really got me into gaming plus i really like history based games and this one is perfectly made atleast for me
The other ACs after revelations are just a big disappointment for me because the story had took another way completely off the path however if Ubisoft decides to remake the first game with updated mechanics and graphics more places to discover updated animations and along with new missions or side story to discover that would be awesome.
What are your thoughts on assassin's Creed Valhalla's new dlc being sold at $40 instead of being part of the season pass like every other game did?
To this day, this is the only main Assassin's Creed game that I've never finished.

You know as bad as the new games have become, I'd like to see another blackflag/rogue game placed in the nepolionic area. It wouldn't feel super similar like rogue did to black flag and there'd be more technological advancement for what you can screw around with in way of the "rPg eLeMeNtS" I just think it'd be interesting to see with the new style of the games

I hear how frustrated you sound about the direction this franchise has taken, holy fuck I feel you, I'm so frustrated after the news I heard earlier last year with infinity, they absolutely just scrapped the original concept of "assassin's creed" to make it into a money cow that they can more easily milk for profits. Damn this sucks, at least MOST of the old games are fairly well optimized for PC

What! I'm in the game?
There are only really two things that I absolutely hate about the later Assassin's Creed Games.
That is The Initiative stuff for Assassin's Creed Unity and Syndicate you can't even skip it which is such bullshit! The 2nd is the new Modern Protagonist Layla Hassan here trilogy Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla everything we do in the Animus seems unnecessary and almost forced until the very end and whatnot and it's like the just copied and pasted Desmond's Arc but made it worse the only real saving grace is Rebecca and Sean and even they are shells of who they used to be.
If you just get rid of all the modern stuff after Rogue they are alright games, not perfect by any means sometimes things get too repetitive or the open world is too big I could go on, but the story itself is pretty enjoyable, making another end of the modern world storyline just feels weird and you only really know about it if you do certain things of the games it's not really until Odyssey in minor bits and Valhalla that you're like oh the world is ending again lovely.
So yeah Modern day sucks just get rid of it and focus on the past, I know it's part of the series a staple that we all go into the Animus to relive but the modern day is so bad I'd be okay with just playing in a certain era in that time you're not in an Animus but that is the era you're in if that makes any sense at all, it'd also explain why we can choose what to say as we're not actually in an Animus.
The 2nd thing is having one gender canon but the other not like with the latest crossover events for AC Odyssey and Valhalla like you can play either as the male or female but only meet Kassandra in Valhalla like sure she's some of people's favorite MC but I hate her as the MC I much prefer Alexios as MC so stop making the gender choice if you're just gonna make one canon and the other not real it just pisses me off!
However this game AC#1 IS a classic would not have discovered this series without this game and yes it is one of the most repetitive games out there... doesn't stop me from wanting it to get the AC Ezio Trilogy or AC III or Rogue treatment and have a remaster for the PS4 so we can see them in their beautiful and clear HD quality maybe even fix some of the bugs like randomly running up the wall I wasn't anywhere near lol. But yeah.
Forgive the rant, love your content and I know we got different opinions this is just mine.
If they make a remake as Rpg I will be disappointed and probably won't buy it, franchise just lost it's identity

Eh you can cut the part where you say only the new games suck cog. Besides the cool concept the games never reached their full potential. The first one is a boring grind for 10 hours where you do the exact same thing over and over again with no variation. The second one I personally enjoyed a bit more but I will never understand the hype it got. The MC is not that relatable or intresting to follow (mainly because he litteraly is a mary sue) and the fighting is exactly as janky like in the previous game. Brotherhood is thankfully way shorter and introduces the no brain combat mode speeding it up while looking cool out of the three i like this one the most.
