One interview with Brenda Vacarro is not enough. A legend like her who has stories to tell about other legends in the industry is fascinating. Please do another interview with Brenda Vacarro. Thanks for this lively, fun interview Harvey.
Once again, Harvey, you knocked it out of the park. I grew up with Brenda in Dallas, met her beloved mother of whom she speaks so fondly, and you asked all the right questions, as you always do! Yes, she looks great, but she also seems happy and full of love for her friends and heroes. In the end, I think that will benefit her the most.
I have always been crazy about Brenda she is the best and a fellow Italian. Brenda looks wonderful. She deserved more awards. Brenda had such a distinct voice. Judge Harvey so glad you got to interview this great actress. ❤
Harvey, this is a fantastic interview! I used to hang out with Brenda, Dyan Cannon and my dear friend Sally Kellerman. The three of them were tight. Brenda was always laughing and the life of the party. You could talk to her for 10 shows!! I love how she loved you!!
Love hearing from an accomplished actress who has a long life well-lived. She looks wonderful-my Granny lived to age 87 and was the best storyteller in the world up to the end. Older people who have good hearts are the best. It’s meaningful to see this kind of spirit. Brenda has a great attitude, vivacious candor, and obviously a lot of wisdom. Great to see attention paid to our “lifetime achievement-level” actresses and actors. 👍

Fantastic interview with Brenda Vaccaro, Harvey. Some of the other commentators who have asked for another interview are correct, as are you. With Brenda, once is definitely not enough. I kept hoping to hear about her deep friendship with Sandy Dennis and Jessica Walter, but we only got a very brief glance. I was hoping to hear about working with the Grande Diva Faye Dunaway in ‘Supergirl.’ Or more on ‘Boynton Beach Club,’ which was also a great role for Sally Kellerman. But everything in this interview was exquisite as well, including her friendships with Kim Stanley and Barbra Streisand. Or working with the late, great Bea Arthur on ‘Golden Girls.’ Or a couple of her stories of working with Al Pacino on ‘You Don’t Know Jack.’ I’m glad you were able to get her to come on. Keep up on her to write that memoir, even if it’s just about all the people she got to know so well. She’s a treasure and, as others have also noted, including yourself, Harvey, she looks incredible! She’s either blessed with the same genes Joan Collins has or she’s taken lessons from Sally Kellerman…
Unfortunately Brenda doesn’t retain details of her work. I did ask lots of questions about various movies and TV shows she did, but she honestly didn’t remember them. Her career has been incredibly long and very jam packed. So we edited out all the questions that she just couldn’t answer. It is what it is. But part of being humble and having a very full career, is that she chooses not to retain a detailed memory of her working life. Thank you so much for watching.
What? She said she was falling asleep and needed a nap after hearing that intro! Not exactly the reaction I usually get from my guests! Oh well, that’s show biz. You can’t win ‘em all.
She is definitely a workaholic. But I don’t think she will write a book. Her memory of her body of work is very poor. The details of her career just aren’t that interesting to her. I am trying to convince her to write a memoir about all the people she’s known and worked with, but so far no luck. Thank you so much for watching our show.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 Your welcome. I agree with you. Keep trying to convince her. Her relationship with other people in Hollywood is important. My total thing is forensic sociology.

It wasn’t fun, believe me. I finally figured out that someone in her apartment was using the Wi-Fi and that was creating the difficulty. Once that person disconnected their phone from the Wi-Fi, the technical difficulties disappeared. I apologize for any inconvenience.
I think a lot of people will be confused with what she said and assume she meant mirror with two faces but I think she was referring to the time she starred with Lauren Bacall on Broadway in Cactus Flower in 1965 where she went to dressing room and encountered Vivien Leigh. I mentioned it in a reply to another commenter but don’t want to hog up Harvey’s time so I won’t bring it up again. Hope this clears it up.
Did she space when she told her story about Vivien Leigh coming out drunk from Lauren Bacall's dressing room? Leigh died in 1967, before Vaccaro's career really took off!!
@@JosephChow-mt3hi I think she wasn’t referring to the movie the mirror has two faces but the broadway play she did with her in 1965 called cactus flower
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 I think she was referring to the stage play on broadway she did with Lauren Bacall in 1965 called cactus flower where she saw Vivien Leigh come out of her dressing room and not the mirror has two faces that they did 20 or 30 years later.

Yes she is a really lovely person
She looks amazing!😘
Yes!
I admire Brenda, great actress.
Me too. I absolutely adore her
Fantastic interview with Brenda Vaccaro, Harvey.
Or working with the late, great Bea Arthur on ‘Golden Girls.’ Or a couple of her stories of working with Al Pacino on ‘You Don’t Know Jack.’
I’m glad you were able to get her to come on.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980, I gathered that. But what she does recall was good!
@willnoiles2001 yes very much so
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 You can forgive her lapses in memory due to the passages of time.
I always followed Brenda's career, I enjoyed her in films, tv and especially in "Nip Tuck!'
Oh she was terrific in Nip Tuck. I loved that series
I remember her from TV series Sarah & Midnight Cowboy movie !
Oh yes she was great in those shows.
She looks fab...Love her and always felt there wasnt enough stuff with her in it. Why wasnt she in way more episodes of Friends as Joeys mother.
Exactly
She looks 20 years younger than her age and is sharper than a tack.
Yes!!!
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 You're a brilliant interviewer. A total pleasure.
@angelman51266 OMG I live for this kind of feedback. Thank you so much.
Brenda was my favorite person in Supergirl.
Mine too
Brenda is a real treasure. She enjoyed your opening, Harvey. Jeffrey
What? She said she was falling asleep and needed a nap after hearing that intro! Not exactly the reaction I usually get from my guests! Oh well, that’s show biz. You can’t win ‘em all.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 Perhaps that was her lame attempt at humor!?
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 I think you misinterpreted her comment. She was trying to be humble. She doesn't like too many compliments.
@watthaile2053 you’re 100% correct. But I generally get more gracious responses to my intros, which take me hours to prepare. Just sayin’
I knew someone that knew Brenda. She said she was a work alcoholic. I hope she writes her memoirs.
@artsahobby123 I love that. Forensic sociology
Great interview. Like the more casual look.
Love Brenda Varcarro Love her with Barbra Streisand
Me too
Her smoky and sultry voice is the Gold Standard..just like your interviews, Harvey 💛
WOW thank you so much
Wow Harvey another great interview for the third straight day in a row, have you ever interviewed John Schneider, or Rick Schroder
Thank you so much for your devoted support of our show. That means the world to me. We’ve invited John Schneider and Ricky Schroeder several times and received no response. Welcome to my world
I enjoyed brenda vacarro she’s a down to earth gal. Also Harvey you are wearing some spiffy outfits!
Thanks so much! I’m delighted you enjoyed the interview and also that you approve of my new wardrobe. I’m slowly finding my way to creating a new onscreen look.
Harvey bringing us Miami Vice realness!
Awwww thank you so much! That’s quite a compliment!!
WOW!!!!!! There is NO WAY she is 84!!!!!
I know. I was stunned when I first saw her!!
Please Interview Michael Stoyanov , Adrian Zmed , Shari Belafonte , Fred Dryer , Glenn Scarpelli Mark Linn Baker , Jonathan Sliverman , Kim Zimmer , Crystal Bernard , Scott Grimes
We’d love to have them on the show. It ain’t easy my friend, believe me. But we do our very best to get great guests.
Hello Harvey!💚
Can you please try and score an interview with Charo?!💋
We’ve tried repeatedly. So far no luck. Welcome to my world.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 you are doing God's work here for us kids of the 70s! 😁 we appreciate all these interviews!
@MaleOrderBride that means the world to me. Thank you so much. Your support means more to me than you can never know.
Hi would you consider interviewing actress Lee Grant?
Would I ever!! Unfortunately she is no longer doing interviews.
She was also in The Golden Girls as Dorothy wife who loved to wear women's clothes and he died and they had his funeral, hystical
We talked about that in the interview. Brenda played the wife of Dorothy’s brother Phil.
Talk about the breathy tampon commercial ! They did a parody of it on SCTV !!
Yes I mentioned that in the interview!!
She's great in Supergirl!
No one is great in that junk
She’s great in everything she does
Brenda is great in everything!!
Love Brenda.......still interested in what she's up to; even after all these years......😉
Thanks so much for watching. I hope you will check out more of our great interviews with legendary stars!!
It was worth sitting through the technical difficulties.
It wasn’t fun, believe me. I finally figured out that someone in her apartment was using the Wi-Fi and that was creating the difficulty. Once that person disconnected their phone from the Wi-Fi, the technical difficulties disappeared. I apologize for any inconvenience.
May I share this?
Please do
I fell in love with that sexy, raspy voice. I hope to see her in a production soon.
And I hope you will watch more of our great interviews. Thank you so much for watching!
No slight against Diane Keaton, but Brenda should have played Kay Corleone in the Godfather. (just my opinion)!
I agree
Viven Leigh she die in the 60's before mirror with two faces ever been made
I think a lot of people will be confused with what she said and assume she meant mirror with two faces but I think she was referring to the time she starred with Lauren Bacall on Broadway in Cactus Flower in 1965 where she went to dressing room and encountered Vivien Leigh. I mentioned it in a reply to another commenter but don’t want to hog up Harvey’s time so I won’t bring it up again. Hope this clears it up.
Yes you are correct. That’s exactly what she was referring to
Did she space when she told her story about Vivien Leigh coming out drunk from Lauren Bacall's dressing room? Leigh died in 1967, before Vaccaro's career really took off!!
She was definitely affected by seeing Vivien Leigh drunk.
My point is she worked with Bacall in the 90s, at least 20 something years after Leigh died. Something is seriously wrong with her memory.
Ummm….,yes. Did you hear what I said to her when I thanked her???
@@JosephChow-mt3hi I think she wasn’t referring to the movie the mirror has two faces but the broadway play she did with her in 1965 called cactus flower
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 I think she was referring to the stage play on broadway she did with Lauren Bacall in 1965 called cactus flower where she saw Vivien Leigh come out of her dressing room and not the mirror has two faces that they did 20 or 30 years later.
I Love My Wife
And I love you for referring to that great movie
"Sounds like an African river."
Interesting analogy
She looks late 50s younger than her age
Yes!
Deborah Kerr with Cary Grant. Think Cary always wanted his persona to be Cary Grant.
Yes I agree. He reinvented himself to be that persona.
