Harvey, you always ask the most interesting and inspiring questions. The biggest thing I came away with about Christopher Atkins through his responses is his open, gentle, and sweet heart. There is a genuine warmth and LIGHT that emanates from him. Excellent interview, sir! ⭐👏
Thank you so much for really getting what I do and why I do it. I wish we had a million more viewers like you!
Great interview, Harvey. Chris Atkins is so sweet and approachable. Just a dear person. LOVE how he is proud of the infamous Playgirl pictorial despite the controversy...he was always generous with showing off the assets that made him a star, and very good natured about it. His charisma and appeal have not diminished - he is a delight. (And so are you, Harvey!)
Thank you so very much for your most generous comments. You are a wonderful person
Brilliant interview as always Harvey 👏👏
Thank you so much

Enjoyed! Great interview😃
Thanks so much for watching
This conversation between the two of you was so enjoyable.😃 And I am so happy to hear you both talk about The Pirate Movie and his fantastic song!😃 A year after the movie was in theaters it was looping on HBO, Showtime and Prism and we watched it non stop. And I always loved his song. I still listen to it when I play my 1982 playlist. And I just watched The Pirate Movie on dvd a couple of months ago. Such wonderful memories. Very grateful for his work.😊
Chris would love reading your comment. I will make sure he gets it
GREAT interview Harvey
Thank you so much my dear friend
What a charming, wonderful person. I saw The Blue Lagoon in the theatres when it was first released, and followed Chris's career after. The fact that he embraced his admiration from the LBGT community was classy and admirable. Thank you Chris, and thanks for the amazing interview Harvey.
Thank you so much for your very kind comments. Greatly appreciated
Thank you.
You’re very welcome
Such a super interesting interview Harvey. Really fast-paced and full of great stories too! You always bring out the best in people and make them look terrific. I see that consistently in each interview you do. Christopher seems like a real genuine and sincere person. That's refreshing isn't it?
Thank you so much. I sure do my best to deliver great interviews. It was easy with Chris. He’s a real sweetheart
Thanks to Harvey and Christopher! 🤩
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching
Every teen had a major crush on Brooke, Chris or both when "Blue Lagoon" came out- great to see him again in another very fine Harvey interview.
Thank you so much!!
Harvey, Christopher is a great, honest man and father. Thank you for another great conversation!
My pleasure. Thanks for watching
Especially good interview to hear on this day full of uneasiness. Thank you!
My great pleasure to bring entertainment, insight, inspiration and comfort
Very sensible guy he is ! He is VERY HAPPY & PROUD of his children !
He sure is
Such a great interview! Thank you! Chris is so down to earth, honest, and genuinely likeable. I'll never forget crushing on him at such a young age when I saw The Pirate Movie.
Trust me you were not alone. I was close to drooling throughout the interview
Harvey, you have a true gift for interviewing. 💯 And Christopher seems very down to earth. It’s refreshing to see.
Thank you so much. I’ve always dreamed of receiving feedback like this. THANK YOU
Fantastic!!!! I’ve been a fan of Christopher’s so I’m happy to see you share such an admiration. Again, VERY good questions! This was another interview I will watch again. I could have listened to another hour easily.
Chris looks great. I admire how a youthfulness continues to remain with him in such a natural way.
I’ve always wondered if Chris remains friends with Matt Lattanzi. I know they were buddies at one point.
I’m so happy you enjoyed the interview. Thank you so much for watching
Christopher is such a easy going, content man. Seems very level-headed and kind. Congrats on your success in life!
Yes you have described him perfectly. He’s a lovely sweet person
I loved this interview. Great questions. The Pirate Movie is one of my favorites. I still watch it because it's so positive and fun. The music is great too. I would totally love to see Christopher and Brooke together again. I hope it happens.😊
It will never happen in a movie but he did make a guest appearance on her TV show Suddenly Susan
Great stories from Christopher Atkins and the Hollywood experience!
Glad you enjoyed the interview
Another great interview, Harvey. It’s always good to hear from Christopher Atkins.
Yes he’s a real sweetheart
Harvey, This is the Chris Atkins I know. He is sincere and authentic and more fun than most people. I fell in love with him he first time we met. I could tell how much he adored YOU! Your show has crossed over into an important documentation of our current time. You are going down in history!
OMG I don’t know if I’m going down in history, but I wouldn’t have minded going down on…….ummmm…..you get my drift….
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 😂 You scamp!!!
Seems like a level headed and nice guy.
Very much so
Chris Atkins is absolutely correct in saying that in 1980, The Blue Lagoon was part of a larger movie trend. Other features around that time like Can't Stop the Music (1980), Making Love, Summer Lovers, and Personal Best (all 1982) understood how to appeal to an appreciative and newly open gay & lesbian audience. Atkins' appeal hasn't waned whatsoever! Thanks for this enjoyable interview, Harvey.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your kind support of our show
It is nice to hear from someone who has his priorities in order and can look back on his experiences with a smile.
Yes that sums up Chris beautifully
@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 It takes a great interviewer to get that response.
@deborahsobel3314 thank you for saying that
CA seems remarkably well adjusted for the crazy life that he lived. I feel genuinely sorry for people who are so good looking that the people around them can’t focus on anything else. But I wasn’t even a teenager yet when Blue Lagoon came out, and the sight of him sent my hormones through the roof. It was awful be as infatuated with someone as I was with him but be too young to see his movies. The fact that I am watching this over 40 years later just shows I never got over it.
You’re not the only one my friend. I couldn’t get enough of that gorgeous face and body when Blue Lagoon came out. Millions felt exactly the same way. He was so gorgeous and sexy.
I've always liked Christopher Atkins. He still looks great. I love "The Blue Lagoon." I also liked him on "Dallas" and "The Pirate Movie."
What did you think of the interview?
Great interview! Christopher Atkins should be proud of himself. ~ Brooke Shields' mom sounds like a piece of work. Anyway...thanks for sharing ♥
I think he is proud of himself
Wonderful interview. I was a 15 y/o male when Blue Lagoon aired. While I had the hots for Brooke Shields in all candor, Chris was one sexy dude. Luckily, I didn't go blind experimenting. Thanks for the memories, Chris! Lol
Yes Chris was indeed one sexy dude. He definitely accounts for millions of soiled Kleenexes, if you get my drift

Yes everyone was infatuated with him and especially his face and beautiful body. I hope this interview revealed the human being beneath that magnificent exterior
I’m here for the HUMANITY…
Mr Atkins is a sensible charmer. And Mr Brownstone is probably the best interviewer ever.
Who’s the competition?
Nobody.
Thank you for saying that. Now if we could only get the major US networks and streaming platforms to say that, we’d have a genuine hit show!!🙏❤️
As I listened I did a quick search for the outfit he mentions, Cameo. The people available run the gamut, everyone from Kenny G., to Dolph Lungren, the host of The Bachelor, Frankie Avalon, Chris Noth, and Roger Daltrey. There's even a space to click which reads..."Join As Talent." Harvey, are you listening?
I don’t think anyone is going to be interested in paying to receive a greeting from me when they can get one free anytime right here
@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 Well maybe not in Idaho, but New York City or Hollywood? I would be flabbergasted to receive Birthday Wishes in your voice! Just keep your rate affordable!
@thomasalbert6687 for you my friend it would be an honor to express my best wishes to you for free!!
The Pirate Movie was a strange anomaly. The Pirates of Penzance at the time was going from stage to film starring Linda Ronstadt and Rex Smith. Someone decided we needed a pop/rock version to compete with Gilbert and Sullivan. I don't think either was successful, but for entirely different reasons.
It’s a hugely popular cult movie nowadays. Weird
