CANIK TTI COMBAT! FAILURE TO RETURN TO BATTERY! CATASTROPHIC FAIL!

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 17 ส.ค. 2024
- It’s not so good day today! I fell into the hype of everyone who’s praising this $1000 firearm! I bought for competition but not as good as advertised! Here’s an honest review from a sports shooter… me! For the price I paid for this toy, I could have bought 2 S&W M&P pistols! No good… it’s just frustrating! Don’t be like me, be smarter y’all! 🤪
Yeah a lot of the same issues with my Rival-S. And failure to extract. I changed the trigger spring, recoil spring, extractor spring. I got tired of trying to fix a gun I just bought. Sorry to hear it’s having issues out of the box man
Thank you for your comment! You’re the man! Well I now share your pain. Hopefully somebody can give me a legit solution for this issues. What’s sad is that, it’s a freaking brand new polymer gun with a price tag of two M&P’s.. crazy huh?
@@EricBaltikonly thing I hear people saying about caniks is that you have to shoot 124gr to “break it in” then after that it will work with 115-147
@@PhatTactical I’ll give it a try.
I had the same issue the first time I brought mine to the range. I got the high power recoil spring from Canik and had no issues after that. The trigger is very good for a striker fired gun and the comp makes the gun really controllable.
I’m glad that you like it and that yours have no issues!
I bought 3 of them. One had this issue,i cleaned the shit out of it and it's now flawless. FYI there was a ton of oil on the firing pin for some reason, which you normally don't want.
👍🏽
Man sorry to hear about that lemon 🍋 you bought. I have a Canik Rival polymer (the gold and grey) I bought from a local gun shop. I have close to 5000 rounds throgh and not one single issue. I think there are production issues in Canik for sure. Its just a matter of getting a good or getting a 🍋
Canik Rivals are awesome guns. It’s the TTi combat that have a lot of issues.
I had a couple hiccups with mine. Replaced the spring and it's been 100% so far.
A lot of peeps are missing my point. Nobody’s supposed to be fixing a brand new sub one thousand dollar gun. For the price alone, it should function well. A thousand dollar plastic gun at that. I’m happy that it works for you. It didn’t for me, so it’s still crappy $1000 dollar plastic gun that is questionable with its reliability. Hiccups are worse when it didn’t go bang when it’s supposed to in a life or death situation..
@EricBaltik that's debatable. There are very high end 1911s and competition guns that must be tuned to run correctly.
@BoomStickTactical plastic? 1 thousand dollars 😂😂😂
@@EricBaltik how much did you pay for your cellphone
@@BoomStickTactical how much is a common plastic gun? Glock, M&P’, Taurus G2C, Sig 365 and Springfield which are more reliable and cheaper! If you gonna make comparisons… do it with apples and apples.. you can buy two M&P’s for the price of that piece of Turkish junk! 😂
i bought one and have passed 250 rounds through it and have had no issues, love the gun shoots flat and accurate, i have shot 115 grain and 124 grain the gun loves both
I’m glad yours is working well.
Needs the replacement spring I guess and will run perfect from what I heard
It was the striker rubbing on something! I did replaced the recoil spring of this Brand new gun and it still misfires. And I’m not the only one who experienced it!
I think this is why we need regular gun enthusiast making reviews, especially post initial impression reviews so we can actually know what's up with the guns we buy
When they start their Videos by thanking the gun manufacturers that sent them the gun, that tells us it’s gonna be a biased review 🤔. Next time, i
I’ll wait for a year for all the issues to come out before I’ll get one ☝🏾
Thanks for an honest video. Was looking at this...but purchased a Sig 265 legion AXG instead.
You’re welcome! A fellow competition shooter like me bought the legion as well! His happier with it than with his Canik S, which he later on sold. The Legion is what he shoots in the USPSA matches with no issues and is very accurate! His TH-cam channel is “Phat tactical”
Mine does it on almost every round. Canik told me to use NATO 124 gr for 250 round break in. BS. And they're going to send me a heavier recoil spring. I bet that doesn't work either. I'll have to send mine in and wait 5-6 weeks. This is sad!!!!
I sold mine.
I'm used to this with 1911s. Usually a few malfunctions every magazine out of box and then it gets better. I learned later to test the extractor tension and tune that before wasting a bunch of ammo. That's helps. But I don't think this is an extractor issue. I don't know much about striker fired guns. It seems like it's that last millimeter or so, maybe a bit of metal somewhere or a rough edge?
I’m a 1911 guy as well and I use them for competition. My Kimber and Colt shot well after breaking it in with 200 rounds. With this Canik, might have issues the recoil spring. It comes with a spare recoil spring, so looks like they know what’s wrong with it from the factory.
Canik offers a new updated spring now @@EricBaltik
Yo. I feel you about the failure to return to battery issue, but check this out. Bought my TTI Combat a week ago. Took it to the range, and after about 30 rounds or so, I had my 1st ftrtb. Took a few more shots and it happened again. Happened again after a few MORE rounds, so I stopped shooting it and used another gun (my Canik SFX Rival😊). Anyway, I went home and used some Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil on the slide and frame. I racked the slide probably 10 to 20 times and took it back to the range the next day. After about 200 rounds, I have not had another ftrtb issue. I didn't change springs. I shot Winchester 115 grain ammo. Will be taking it to the range again tomorrow to put about 2 to 300 more rounds through it, as I do with all my new guns. I'm not expecting any more issues, but time will tell. I have 3 Caniks now, a CZ P10C, the SA Echelon, 2 Walther PDP PRO SD'Ss, a Glock G45 and 19X, and an H&K VP9. Any weapon can have issues, but I wouldn't give up on the TTI yet. Yes, people are hyping it up, and we all know why... (Taron's name, but it's not trash. People are paying $1200 and even $1500 for it, which is absolutely RIDICULOUS, but hey, stupid is as stupid does 😂. I waited and got mine at Academy Sports for $949.00, which is still a lot, but you gotta pay to play as they say. Anyway, oil it up (lightly) and see if that helps. Good luck. BigCoop 🔫
Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely try it. Hopefully it works, otherwise I’ll just sell it to the pawn shop 😂
@@EricBaltik Yeah you would be lucky tp get a third of what you paid for it. Hopefully it won't come to that.
@ericbaltik Yo. Took TTI Combat to range again today, and shot about 200 rounds. Not a single issue. Like I said earlier, I believe my initial problem has been resolved. Will continue to put rounds through it as I want to make super sure I can depend on this firearm to be one of my home defense weapons and not just a good looking overpriced range toy 😊. Anyway, as I said before, good luck with yours dude. Peace
@@bigcoop5938 will definitely try your advice. Then I’ll make a follow video. Thank you 😊. It’s worth a try 😊
I placed my order last night. Definitely doing this before my first visit to the range ! Thanks for the heads up!
had same issue, but mine had the issue more often than you, trimmed the extractor spring and that took care of the issue for me. zero malfunctions after that with 3 different mags.
Thanks for this info. I will ask a gun smith to look into it. But still, a thousand dollar gun with Taran Tactical logo.. and can’t function right out of the box. SMH! Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞!
I trimmed 1.5 of the rings as well. Worked flawlessly since
@@Mia13jml I sold mine and got a 2011 instead! Problem solved.
@@EricBaltik what did they give you for it?
$300 less than what I paid for.
I’ve shot over 400 rounds through my TTI and I only had one failure, which was the firing pin did not reset
Mine is worse than yours. Taking it to a real gun Smith on Monday
Sold mine.. I need a peace of mind!
My LFA AMP had major bad reviews,I brought it anyway, but this CANICK TTi beats it, hands down😂
👍🏽
I got the first batch of tti and had no issues. Get a Steccato
You’re lucky 🍀
Glad I went PDP PRO Compact instead of
👍🏽
@@EricBaltik
Same here, sold the crap Canik and bought a real gun Walther PDP
I have the same issue with my TTI🤦🏽♂️
More videos are coming out with multiple issues with this junk.
you need to remove factory oil and apply your own
@@ryanneveu722 did that.. nope it’s not the oil. Not the recoil spring either. Looks more of a striker and striker spring problem. Watch Videos like “Canik TTi problems “ you’ll see..
Same here the gun sucks-Failure to fire! Sold this garbage same day, DO NOY BUY!
Catastrophic failure! 😞
Break in period my butt! Especially on a 1K pistol. You shouldn't have to fool around with the internals on a brand new g_n.. did you reach out to Canik?
I’m gonna get rid of it.. off to the pawn shop 😂
@@EricBaltikI reached out to Canik and right now their answer is to send out a stronger recoil spring. I haven't gotten the new spring but hope it works.
@@jowpopper790 I sold it already. I’m not owning a gun that’s unreliable and the problem is not the spring. It was the striker catching up on something. You can tell it’s worn out after firing fifty rounds. It’s junk, not like the rival.
@@EricBaltik I have a Taurus TH9c that was nothing but trouble, fte, ftrb, light strikes. I gave Taurus a chance to make it right and turned out to be a good gun. So I'm going to give Canik a chance to fix the problem before taking the loss and selling or trading it.
@@jowpopper790 you can definitely do that. I hope everything works out well for you. I’m just disappointed that for a thousand dollar gun, you have to do that.
Get the CZ Shadow 2 and sell that thing
I sold it already. I bought the Rock Island Armory FS Tac, in 45 acp double stack which I used in a USPSA practice match. $700 gun that worked flawlessly out of the box! So far 3 matches with no issues! I love it! 😻
@@EricBaltik nice 👍
@@EricBaltik I was going to buy the TTI but thank god I waited , it was a cool looking gun though , to bad it did not run
@@totljag1 I uploaded the recent two shorts video, two stages using that beast RIA FS-Tac!
@@totljag1 cool looking but trash. SPS Pantera is a cool looking gun too. That has some cool reviews. But I’m doing further research first! 😂
wow you watch a lot of Bideyus and eksperyens Pailure of Battiry 😂😂😂…. clean it right!!!! i never had any issues with mine.
Brand new? Clean it right? Bless your heart! 😂😂😂
@@EricBaltik People making excuses for the gun, are the same people that hyped it up. $1200 gun that can't shoot. For that price there shouldn't be no excuses. Absolutely none!
@@sq6223 you’re absolutely right!
