Appreciating Audi more and more lately, especially their restrained and conservative aesthetics compared to what Mercedes and BMW have been putting out lately. I differ from you guys on this, but personally, I’d rather boring than ugly. And Audi really knows how to do the luxury/sport balance well for a predominantly street-driven vehicle compared with M/AMG
I appreciate you reading the window sticker. I’m trying my best for my pov reviews that I’m just getting started and it’s hard to remember information while talking casually
Damn 17mpg is not very good. My M550 is getting average 18 and I drove it pretty hard almost daily. I really do love the S6 design way better than my M550, but after owned a RS5 I am just not a huge fan of Audi’s dynamic (not saying is bad, just not my cuppa). I absolutely love the loud pop when upshift tho, sounds raw in a stock v6.
A couple of things nice about Audis - if you're like me and you're buying these used at maybe around three years old - try and find a BMW with adaptive cruise control. It might have the "Driving Assistance Package" but guess what, ACC isn't in that. It's in some other package, like "Driving Assistance Plus." Guess how many of those will be available for sale? Maybe twelve in the country. BMW and Mercedes are nearly as bad as Porsche in that EVERYTHING you might want is an individual option or individual package you have to tick on the order sheet, and nobody buys them that way. 95% of the ones you'll see for sale used are basic b*tch models with nothing on them, or almost nothing. Often not even blind spot monitors, which you get standard on a Corolla. Audi doesn't do that. Prestige cars come with most things. Yes there are still a couple of options, but it's not that hard to find an S6 with S-Sport on it, and that's pretty much all you need. You don't have to search through 400 cars to find one where somebody checked the $250 box for a heated steering wheel like an E-class. Mercedes could just make acoustically laminated glass standard. Instead, they want you to tick the $1200 box for the "Acoustic Comfort Package." Good luck finding a car that has that on it. Obviously if you're leasing new, you can get them however you want. As used buys though they are a nightmare to sift through. One thing I would chastise Audi for on these are the *horrible* looking cup holders for the North American market cars. EU cars have a flip open cover, ours don't. Audi of America did that because giant takeout sodas, or something? Fortunately you can just get the EU dash part and swap it out, which is what I would do on the first day. A major competitor that you missed is the Genesis G80 3.5T Sport. MUCH closer in the market than the Acura is, that's much more of a Volvo competitor in the "semi-premium" space.

If your market interest is us the subscribers, we always want a fuel economy test. Even in the most obscure product.
Touche! This has been a busy month, maybe I'll make it up next month with the S8!
Got the A6 TFSI 3.0T Prestige. This would have been the next step. Wish I would have gone S6 but don’t know how often I would drive fast

I don't get how he got 17 though
