Chase Bliss made this their second Automatone which is probably best thought of as an ode to the Lexicon 224. It's almost certainly the most expensive Reverb ever - but how does it sound? Do you think it's worth it, or would something like the Strymon Big Sky get you similar tones and more?
Please leave a comment if you find this type of preset build useful, so that I know to keep making them!

Jim - you yourself are WELL aware that a Boss DS1 - whether owned by Kurt Cobain or not - would be a Drive pedal, not a Reverb pedal.

This thing has been out for an eternity by now, yet this is the first video anyone's made that shows how beautiful it can sound. From the previous 97 videos I had the mistaken impression that it sounded astoundingly meh

Best demo I've seen of this pedal: you make it sound special, but of course there is no shortage of special reverbs, and the price of this one is ... aspirational.

Sounds cool and I love the UI, but for guitar I'm really quite happy with my Stomp and H90 for reverb.

Getting my 1st Chase Bliss pedal in the mail tomorrow, I got the Generation Loss because I am really into Lo fi these days. This is a nice reverb, but if I am paying that much, I would want a lot more control and options, still a cool pedal.

My main problem with mine (had since launch and probably replacing) is that it sums the inputs to mono to process the reverb. So it’s not true stereo. Which might not be a problem for some, but personally I feel like that is a bit of silly choice.

I was never a big fan of reverb at all. Then I started watching JNC’s channel and finally REALLY understood the possibilities of expansive reverbs in both ambient and normal tone scapes.
I’ve got to say the Chase Bliss probably isn’t for me (yet. I’m still training my ear with reverbs), but it definitely suits your playing, John. Thanks again for the education and inspiration!

I'm imagining it should be able to create a similar patch on the GX100 or Helix, or at least something in the same ballpark 🤔

No trails when switching presets is a deal breaker for me (especially when using live). All the Strymon/UA/Helix stuff allows for this. I love, and own, the Chase Bliss Preamp MKII, but this reverb is pretty much a studio tool and not suitable for live use in my humble opinion.

As cool as the sliders and lovely as the reverbs sound (done by Meris) I wish they would release a non-automatone version for less $$ and space Ah well. The Mercury 7 will just “have to do”

Quick reply: doesn't worth the money.
Some business are using people weakness to do nerd stuff, some fancy box, made people believe that a piece of gear like this for common people will change something and will... NOT!
This kinda stuff is good for some producer or nothing less than professionals, professionals that work with it and even like that they can put their hands on better stuff with some less fancy box.
