I got a TR well under MSRP, eventually plan to put Wilderness trim suspension on it with a full under body protection kit for off road ability. The skid plates could go on a lowered WRX to both add protection and aerodynamic improvement.
Back in 07 I had a 2004 wrx sti. I agree with it’s not an “off roader” but I’ll tell you I took that thing thru all sorts of mountain trails , snow mud you name it. Was I rock crawling? No but it will take you lots of places.
It needs a lift kit, and the exhaust system hangs way too low. There are people putting Outback Wilderness suspension on their WRXs and it appears extremely effective. Mix the latter with full skid plate protection and it'll be able to go quite a few places beyond just a gravel road.
@@paulitik7 focus shouldn't be on torque and hp, though that'd be great. A turbo crosstrek and/or Outback with STI manual transmission and full 4WD capability would potentially put Jeep under. I'm not a stat nerd, but I do appreciate actual capability, and even the improved CVT in current generation is questionable for both towing and serious off road conditions. I wouldn't hesitate to drop 50-55K into a Crosstrek or Outback with the current turbo engine and the mentioned transmission alterations. I'm pretty sure you can take an older manual transmission Outback and do an STI swap, and I've read about people making their Outbacks fully 4WD capable, might be a retirement project in a few years.
I know which company makes those crappy bars. You're asking for problems. All that will do in a front hit pulling into a parking spot with concrete bumper is destroy everything behind it, get rid of that.

I do got to admit that I've been a fan the WRX for a long time.
Insane WRX Ben !! 🖤🖤
Way to low for an 'off roader', maybe a gravel road.

The Audi Allroads A6 are sweet

I agree, these are cool. I like the black silver and blue pearl colors
interesting build. it's a chance to see what it would be like if Subaru made a Crosstrek and/or Wilderness Edition trim for the WRX
Add King springs for a slight lift
Leaving a comment for support!!
Next will be the Moab, Rapster, Mojave, etc.
Different BEN! 👍🏻
They need to make a Crosstrek Wilderness STI with ~300 hp. It would be a beast.

Was that thing cold when you rev’d it up ?
2022 Subaru WRX 2.4L Turbocharged Flat 4-Cylinder 6-Speed Manual Symmetrical AWD Premium Sedan!
Cool car for a Subaru looks like looks
Push what out of the way with that 'bull' bar??
Bunny 🐰 rabbits 🐇
🤔
It barely has 3 inches of ground clearance. In what reality is this hard core?
Nice one review of having fun in a vehicle by subaru with a 5 speed tyranny Mazda has one too all inspired by audi whose become audacious
The People want the STI back Subaru, with a combustion engine.
