FREERIDE: Mountain biking the south coast of Portugal [Algarve]

- Bringing a bike with you on holiday is an awesome way to see the place.
Praia da Luz in the Portuguese province of Algarve offers some amazing trails. There's a mix of freeride lines along the cliffs, xc riding along the coast and a short drive away at Monchique, there's some epic enduro and downhill to be had.

Thanks! Was wondering if the intro would be too long to watch. The terrain is just stunning there, if you ever go to Portugal, go ride there! It's pretty steep and loose but the dirt is super grippy.

Thanks dude! I was blown away by the quality of the terrain there! Only had a couple of shuttle days but I'll make sure to check it out next time!

You tried the pallet gap?
I Made most of them. But yeah the double needs work on the landing. Always overshoot it.
The pallet gap is on my to do list, never bothered grabbing my full face and riding up there, plus the pallets looked shaky. I'm sure they'd hold up though. I imagined a line from the middle plateau down to that ridge I rode down to the beach...that would be such a rampage line!

Hi , would really like to do this tour, is it possible to have the gpx file for this route ? Thank you.
Not sure i have a gpx, but Bica Bikes in Luz has a few on their site, or just email them. Finding these trails is pretty simple though, just follow the coastline to the right of Luz towards Praia de Mos. It starts off with one hell of a steep climb to the cliff overlooking Luz.
I thought it's called mountain biking, because your in the mountains
Hill biking just doesn't roll of the tongue as well. Cliff biking...now that could be something!
what camera setup do you have?
This was shot on a GoPro hero 7 and a Huawei p30 pro phone. Keeping it simple...the audio isn't always the best though but for the most part with a dead cat it's good enough.
The intro is not accurate...
It was meant to poke fun, love the place. There's more videos coming from my recent trip there :)
