This game seriously RULES! Far superior to the SNES and Game Gear versions. Sure, it takes TONS of trial and error to figure out how to do ... well anything, but for the hardcore fans of the show - especially those early 1993 episodes that most people don't remember (most were banned) this game's the best. A lot of things you do in this game are based on actual episodes (Burger World, Home Improvement, At The Movies, Beware Of The Butt, Bedpans and Broomsticks, Sick, Be All You Can Be, Yogurt's Cool, Babes R Us, Good Credit, Washing The Dog, Couch Fishing). VERY UNDERRATED GAME. Oh, and the soundtrack is one of the best on the Sega Genesis.
Sean Beard The sound track itself used a part of the Sound card basically never used, so old emulators have issues with many tracks and the chainsaw sound.
I found the episode guns are cool on TH-cam its funny how they banned back then but now south park can get away with so much but I love both of them and a crossover would kickass
There's something about the mood and sound of the songs that feel like they belong in a Beavis and Butt-Head episode. And the more grainy, gritty sound of the Genesis soundchip just complements my statement in such a good way. This soundtrack rules, in short.

They just think FM = bad because 'muh childhood limited experience'. I think FM sounds cool in anything honestly, it has a deep, metallic sound that is hard to reproduce. For MIDIs on PC I specifically use a Sound Blaster 16 soundfont to emulate FM sound. When it comes to modern games, something like the new Rocket Knight would put someone to sleep compared to the original.

I fucking love it. I love Sega's music better than any console's still to this day. This game had some of my favorite Sega tracks. The levels were based off the episodes, too. I've always thought Sega looks more dark and sounds more gritty whereas SNES looks brighter and sounds cartoonish. I do like SNES, but I've always liked Sega better.

The original hospital chase music at 09:58 went unused in favor of the 03:12 Driving music that was supposed to be in the outdoor areas of the Drive-In Theatre or being chased by the fat lady. That would mean the 02:13 Drive-In/Snackbar BGM (that was actually used for the full game) would have only played while inside the Snackbar building. Why did they have to change the Hospital Chase music from the unused original music to the original outdoors Drive-In music?
The "Bedroom" song is completely wrong in EVERY single one of these OST compilations, go look up a gameplay video and see that the music when they enter the bedroom is completely different... I can't seem to find a YT video or MP3 link to the ACTUAL Bedroom song anywhere... if anybody can let me know where to find it please let me know.
Man, this soundtrack's catchy, especially for a... what is this, 1993? game. The setting of course appeals heavily to the Genesis, so it's nice to hear at least the gameplay took advantage of their hardware.
Okay, I noticed something. Song G is not in the game, and the song that plays in the dumpster is not present here. If you put Song G at 1.5 speed it may sound very close to the dumpster song, but it's clearly not the same. I wonder why?
Wow the music is catchy, but a bit ear-grating at times. Definitely has the stereotypical FM sound, as for the SSG, I'm confused as to what it sounds like actually. Even in Yogurt, I'm not sure what you're hinting at. The drums are excellent though.
Gender Neutral Chibi Thing I guess now is as good as a time to explain it as ever since I just typed up a big thing for someone else explaining FM parameters. :) SSG-EG is an envelope generator built into the FM chip that basically lets an FM operator use a pre-defined, oscillating waveform as an envelope. B&B uses it as a retriggering envelope. Without all the technical jargon, it basically means that it makes the sound modulate. The effect in B&B is it makes the sound (in Yogurt) sound like it is being played much faster than it is. The actual note triggering is much slower. This is very hard to explain, maybe I will have to upload a video or something sometime--but if you listen to the VGM of it on a VGM player, you might hear it. Without SSG-EG, it sounds like notes are missing. You wouldn't know it without an A/B comparison if you've never heard that particular music before.
Griffin Tremaine I actually think as it is, it's a half decent game, but with more polish it could have been honestly good. It is too artificially hard is all, I think if it wasn't so punishing the puzzle-solving aspect could have been fun.
I agree. A fun game, but I just rage quit when the fat guy at the hospital chase put me back at square one. I was literally like "fuck this shit" and gave up.

They just really needed to work on that, and also the enemies that take forever to go down, and the hit detection... but I do think the game was a solid design idea. Better than just a plain platformer or something.

The drums and other instruments that use the PCM are surprisingly clear for Mega Drive music standard! This sure is a peculiar soundtrack.
