Johnny Depp falling with the jar of dirt wasn't planned. He actually tripped and fell and everybody's reaction is genuine. Same with his teasing "I got jar of dirt". It wasn't in the script, he just improvised it :D
A lot of the cast was left out of the loop story-wise for dramatic effect. Johnny Depp came up with the "Jar of Dirt" ditty on his own, which is why everyone looks confused. Orlando Bloom wasn't aware of the kiss as the crew was leaving the ship. And everyone at the end was told Zoe Saldana (Annamaria from the 1st movie) would be coming down the stairs, so their reaction to Geoffrey Rush was genuine. "Long pork" or "long pig" is Pigin English for human flesh, hinting that the Pelegostos are cannibals. Pintel and Ragetti are apparently uncle and nephew.
You had trouble following the game so let me explain it. The game is called Liar's Dice. Its played by each player rolling 5 dice. They can see the dice they rolled, but not the dice the other players rolled. You then take turns bidding. the first player asserts there are x number of a particular face of the dice showing. Then the next player can either change the face of the bid (going from 3 threes to 3 fours) or increase the number (3 threes to 4 threes) but cannot lower the number or repeat a previous bid. This goes on till someone thinks the current bid is wrong. They call the bidder a liar. Then then all dice are revealed and whoever is right wins. The game is about bluffing and being able to read your opponents.
The dice game they play on the Dutchman is actually very simple. It is called "liar's poker". You have your five dice and the other players each have five dice. The objective is to call a number on the dice and how many of them you have, but the key is you can use the other players dice also. For example, if we were playing say you had 4 dice that showed 5 and 1 that showed a 6. I have 2 dice that show 5 and 2 that show 6 and1 that shows a 2. I would first call two fives. Then you would know I have at least two fives and you would call say 3 fives. Then we would each keep raising the number. The object is to call the most of any number on the dice using all the opponents dice and yours without going over what you collectively have. At any time you can call "liar" on an opponent and they must prove they have the number of any given number they call on the collective dice. If they cannot prove they have the number then they lose and are knocked out of the game. So on and so forth until one player remains standing to win the game.

When they are asking where Jack is one of the people mentions "long pork". "Long pork" is what the cannibals call human flesh. Which makes sense since the human body and the body of pigs are very similar. So similar pig organs have been transplanted into humans with some success, especially the heart and valves of the heart. Which might also explain why most major religions forbid eating pork. It is borderline cannabalism. Not saying do not eat pork, just pointing out something.
I find it hilarious and awesome that Bill Nighy was Davy Jones, as well as Viktor from Underworld, Rufus Scrimgeour from Harry Potter, and Howard Clifford from Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Quite the interesting career for that guy. The fact that that "I've got a jar of dirt" singing taunt was completely improv'd by Johnny Depp is also hilarious to me.

We found out afterward that, if we'd cut off enough of its tentacles, it would have withdrawn -- but we had been too logical for that. We dove underwater and attacked its center of mass (its "head") until it died.

The kiss Elizabeth plants on Jack in order to cuff him to the ship was intentionally left out of Orlando Bloom's script so the WTF look on Will's face is a genuine reaction.
These are absolutely my confort movies: the Carribean of the pirates movies. Especially the 3rd and 4th. Not gonna spoiler why. But Davy Jones is one EXTREMELY well written, deep character (no pun intentended) and his cgi is EPIC. Some fun facts: The "black spot" or "mark" was mentioned in the book "Treasure island" and appears as well in the series Black Sails, which is one of the best series ever (and contains severe nudity). The mark itself was not supernatural, but it was a bad omen: a black mark message meant you'll be hunt down by your enemy. It was like when the mafia sends you the head of a horse or something like that. The "ive got a jar of dirt" scene was improvised by Johnny Depp. Will Turner's "wtf" face is real confusion, he didn't know how to react, nor Keira Knightley :D His fall was improvised as well, but I'm not sure if it's just a rumor or fact. It looked very painful, if it was real. There is a reall funny edited music video about the "i've got a jar of dirt" scene XD The "She's only a ship, mate" is one of the few scenes when Jack Sparrown isn't trying to act funny. He is deadly serious. Not a fun fact, but the Wheel Fight is one of the best and funniest sword fight moments ever. And Norrington's character arc is really satisfying.

I tried octopus twice. One was dead one was still alive. They both tasted and were textured like salty rubberbands. It took a half hour to chew and swallow the dead one. And 40 minutes to chew and swallow the live one because the squirrely thing kept acting like glue to my tongue and the roof of my mouth. They REALLY fight not to die.
the scene in which Jack says "I got a jar of dirt" and falls down the stairs was not in the script, Johnny Depp fell by mistake but still continued to act. The faces of the other actors who look at him badly are real because they didn't understand what was happening.

I never understood how Beckett (a lord) could walk into Port Royal and flash warrants for the Governor's daughter (and fiance) with such ease.... as well as order the military at Port Royal. I assumed the Governor had way more rank/authority than just a Lord.

I'm confused I need caught up on bisscute and this franchise I'm watching now she seemed to know about the compass but bisscute seem to know the compass points to heart desire early in this movie and I don't remember them giving any info about what the compass does in the first movie bisscute have you seen these movies before ??
It's a rewatch, same with the first movie, she said in the first movie and mentioned towards it in this one, it's also written in the description of this one that they are rewatch's. As requested by her patreon, it has been a while since she has seen them, so she's going to recognise bits, but she doesn't remember much, she doesn't typically do rewatch reactions but she said she'll see how it goes, to see if she'll do anymore.
And yet...many will insist in that situation that your underwear is "soiled" Still others will look at you in complete confusion if you say you have either in your underwear. Language is simultaneously awesome and confusing as crap🙃
Did anybody else catch that Davy Jones lied and cheated the dice game? He began by saying that there was 4 fours when there was only one and yet said that there was 7 fives when there was 7. Both turners could have called him a liar at the beginning but they were being noble which is a dumb thing to do in a game on a pirate ship... He didn't cheat, and they didn't know that. With 3 players, there are 15 dice, and you can only see the 5 dice you roll. So while we the audience know the all the rolls, the players in the movie do not. And of course he lied. The game is about lying and bluffing. That's why the game is called Liar's dice.

When Will said eight fives Jones already knew Will lost which is why he said welcome to the crew. It's no different than when Magneto plays professor X in chess, he knows he's reading his mind... Will knew he had no chance to win and Davy knew he had no chance to lose which is why they both agreed. It was the dad that didn't know what was going on that added uncertainty to the game. Will turners dad also lied when he said how many sixes there were and Davy Jones didn't call him a liar there because he already had his soul. The only reason why Davy Jones called the dad a liar is because after 12 fives there would have been nothing he could have said to win. They used to write movies with deep meaning like this which is why this was always my favorite scene.
@@joshuasharrock466 Teleportation is not omnipotence. Jones didn't actually see the dice. Jones knew because Will had an absolutely terrible poker face. Will very visibly flinches when bidding 4 fives because it was more than he had. So Jones picks up on Will's anxiety and knows Will has at most 3 fives. Jones then looks at his own dice and sees he has 4 fives. So he bets 7 fives. At that point he knows the only way there are 8 is if bootstrap has any fives, but bootstrap also looks worried when he peaks at his dice. Slightly better poker face than Will, but still easily picked up on. Thus, Jones knows he's won and starts to gloat when Will bids. He didn't play the dice, he played the players. And yes, he didn't care about calling out Bootstrap. He wanted Will, that's not contested. Will still owed no service and had proven to be a threat with his knowledge of the key. He wanted to take down the bigger prize.

*Ogilvey* aka *The Head Gunner* of the *Flying Dutchman* ghost ship, was played by *Jonathan Linsley* from *Bradford.*
*Peaky Blinders* especially in series 1, 2, 4 and 5 did a lot of filming in *Bradford,* and used at least 11 locations across the city for 17 different locations in the show. I know where all 11 locations are, most of which are within 3 miles of my house, however I only know what 9 of the 11 were used for.

I tried octopus twice. One was dead one was still alive. They both tasted and were textured like salty rubberbands. It took a half hour to chew and swallow the dead one. And 40 minutes to chew and swallow the live one because the squirrely thing kept acting like glue to my tongue and the roof of my mouth. They REALLY fight not to die.

I never understood how Beckett (a lord) could walk into Port Royal and flash warrants for the Governor's daughter (and fiance) with such ease.... as well as order the military at Port Royal. I assumed the Governor had way more rank/authority than just a Lord.

I'm confused I need caught up on bisscute and this franchise I'm watching now she seemed to know about the compass but bisscute seem to know the compass points to heart desire early in this movie and I don't remember them giving any info about what the compass does in the first movie bisscute have you seen these movies before ??
It's a rewatch, same with the first movie, she said in the first movie and mentioned towards it in this one, it's also written in the description of this one that they are rewatch's. As requested by her patreon, it has been a while since she has seen them, so she's going to recognise bits, but she doesn't remember much, she doesn't typically do rewatch reactions but she said she'll see how it goes, to see if she'll do anymore.

Did anybody else catch that Davy Jones lied and cheated the dice game? He began by saying that there was 4 fours when there was only one and yet said that there was 7 fives when there was 7. Both turners could have called him a liar at the beginning but they were being noble which is a dumb thing to do in a game on a pirate ship... I like Orlando Bloom but the true captain of the Flying Dutchman will always be Davy Jones.

He didn't cheat, and they didn't know that. With 3 players, there are 15 dice, and you can only see the 5 dice you roll. So while we the audience know the all the rolls, the players in the movie do not. And of course he lied. The game is about lying and bluffing. That's why the game is called Liar's dice.
@@chuckmanion1128 Davy Jones had the power to teleport everywhere in his ship he knew what the dice were. When Will said eight fives Jones already knew Will lost which is why he said welcome to the crew. It's no different than when Magneto plays professor X in chess, he knows he's reading his mind... Will knew he had no chance to win and Davy knew he had no chance to lose which is why they both agreed. It was the dad that didn't know what was going on that added uncertainty to the game.
Will turners dad also lied when he said how many sixes there were and Davy Jones didn't call him a liar there because he already had his soul. The only reason why Davy Jones called the dad a liar is because after 12 fives there would have been nothing he could have said to win. They used to write movies with deep meaning like this which is why this was always my favorite scene.
@@joshuasharrock466 Teleportation is not omnipotence. Jones didn't actually see the dice. Jones knew because Will had an absolutely terrible poker face. Will very visibly flinches when bidding 4 fives because it was more than he had. So Jones picks up on Will's anxiety and knows Will has at most 3 fives. Jones then looks at his own dice and sees he has 4 fives. So he bets 7 fives. At that point he knows the only way there are 8 is if bootstrap has any fives, but bootstrap also looks worried when he peaks at his dice. Slightly better poker face than Will, but still easily picked up on. Thus, Jones knows he's won and starts to gloat when Will bids. He didn't play the dice, he played the players.
And yes, he didn't care about calling out Bootstrap. He wanted Will, that's not contested. Will still owed no service and had proven to be a threat with his knowledge of the key. He wanted to take down the bigger prize.
