Regarding that industry plant TikTok, if you really think about it, that episode of Arthur when the Binky band was revealed to be holograms is literally the definition of an industry plant.
No it wasn't that one (Binky Rules), it was a newer episode (Binky's Music Madness) from Season 17 where Binky has trouble understanding the appeal of an experimental band that everyone is raving over (Bang on a Can All Stars, a real-life band that also appeared in the episode).

As someone who watches commentary channels that sometimes look into TikTok stuff, at some point it seems like TikTokers just ignored the "point of view" thing and used POV to mean "it's about this thing".

Industry plants are a thing in music (and also youtube, too i guess). Essentially, it's when rich people bankroll someone else (or sometimes themselves) into rockstar/youtube fame. Instead of organically growing a fandom with passion and hard work they market the hell outta the group, putting themselves on radio and to the front of the algorithm.
