In the case of Yakkity Yak, it was a cartoon show that was shown on the Nickelodeon channel, -I think it was made by the creator of Camp Lazlo and Rocko's Modern Life.- It literally had the tagline. "This show is just plain stupid" and yes that was the selling point. Needless to say, it didn't do so well, and was cancelled after several episodes. Mainly due to poor ratings and competition from other shows like spongebob.
Edit: the creator was not Joe Murray,

I had one as a kid, and it didn't really work. :/ It didn't crush the ice small enough to be like a slushie, and broke pretty quickly. It lasted maybe a week? I'm not quite sure since I was like 8?

Is it weird that I recognized the Tooth Tunes commercial from the word "Up"? (Side note: I was in the target demographic when those commercials first aired, and I _never_ wanted one, because I thought the entire concept was stupid.)

Oh boy Vince from Slap Chop, Sham Wow passed almost all the time on TV when I was younger. By the way funfact about him on one of his commercial of the Schtiky, we see him with a prison panel, but for what I heard he really went to prison.

I remember Yakkity Yak. It was a...ok show. It aired around the time other forgotten shows were picked up by Nick's second channel (like Kappa Mikey, My Dad's a Rockstar, Hold my Chops (I forgot what they called it here), The Torcellinis (I have forgotten what that spaghetti) and the The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers(I love this one, maybe wrong too), and so forth)

I used to watch Yakkity Yak on Nickelodeon when I was like 6-8 years old. I remember almost nothing about the show because it stopped airing after only a couple of months I believe. There was one character named "Mister Longpants" who quickly became an inside joke between me and my sister because of his long pants design though and I sometimes still mention him to my sister for a quick laugh. But that's the only good thing that show provided to my life.
