    Aunty, I enjoyed your content. Your secret tricks look interesting. I have always just put the ginger in the dirt. That's it. Dig a hole, throw the ginger in, and cover with dirt. It grows. Ever since I was a kid. So I've been doing that my whole life.

    I've been waiting for that video! It turned out really good, I liked that you compared the 3 methods directly. When I root ginger or turmeric, the stem is at least a few cm long when the roots start forming. This might indicate that your method really encourages root growth since they seem to grow long before the stem expands on your rhizomes. But other factors might also contribute, because i basically copy your "Water-method". Either way, mine takes at least 14 days to show any activity.

    • @Footprintsinthegarden
      @Footprintsinthegarden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, i agree with you, some other factor like the temperature or humidity or even maybe the type of ginger that we bought from the store can give a different result but I'm glad that your ginger is growing with this method 😃

    Hi I love this video! I have question. How do I preserve onion water? First time I made 1 gallon; that’s too much! So sorry but I dumped it out . 2nd time I made half of onion water. Put in the spray bottle and there’s still lot left inside. So I decided to put it in the fridge When going to use, I leave it out to match the room temperature and shake it. I put the other half gallon in the fridge. Is it okay to reuse or please tell me how to keep onion water. Thanks!!

    • @Footprintsinthegarden

    • @Footprintsinthegarden

      I haven't try re-growing coriander yet but for mint they can easily re-grow, grow them in a container because they can be invasive.

    • @VN1409

      Mint stalks when put in water develop roots which can then be planted in soil. Remember they do not grow well in very hot sun, should be kept in shaded area.

    I’ve done the Onion trick before BUT All Mine does is TURNS MOLDLY and ROTS!

    • @Footprintsinthegarden
      @Footprintsinthegarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, after 5 days or so the onion will turn moldy & mushy, by that time root should be visible, if there is still no root growing you can throw the old onion & put a new one in. If after several days and no root growing at all it could be the ginger that you bought has been sprayed with growth inhibitor, I noticed the ginger that I bought from certain store has a hard time to grow, but the one that I bought from asian market is the one that always has no problem growing roots.

  • @seanvandermerwe3409
