If you're moving to Canada by leaving India and going to someone else's place, make sure you make them comfortable with you. They didn't invite you, so it's your job to make your place there and be better. Most people leave India because of reservations, racism, casteism, low quality of life, etc. So if you're going somewhere, at least try to be a better version of yourself. People in Canada are great and friendly towards others, so please don't give them a reason to hate Indians.

The problem is that the so called students who come to Canada are village boys who have never seen a world outside their own little village. People who directly get PR from India, such as Express Entry immigrants, are much more educated and sophisticated. But it's Canada's fault for giving visas to "students" who can't even jot two sentences in English. What did they think will happen by inviting these guys. They're cracking down now but things might get a little worse before they get better as these village boys think they can protest their way into a work permit extension and PR.

However, what some people do is use the restricted entrance to go directly to the bus station, which is meant only for those who have already tapped their Presto. The curry smell stereotype is so true. It takes simple steps to avoid the smell, like wearing different clothes while working in the kitchen, not entering the kitchen before leaving home, and keeping jackets separate . It leaves a good impression when someone smells nice! 🙂 Glad someone brought it up.
Simple rules and tips for hygiene - take a shower daily either AM or PM. Don't cook with your suits on. If your home is carpeted, the food you cook will smell and absorbed by your clothes. Personal hygiene is not limited to Indians, it is amongst all those who feel its their right to smell bad. That's pathetic. The latest being consuming CBDs. They emit such bad smell. It was a very strange feeling, as I was not sure if I was in Canada or India.) About 10 years ago, I moved back to Ontario to live in Guelph and had heard the joke about Brampton becoming 'Bramladesh' by people at the dog park, and in the past 5 years, (since they built the massive temple in Guelph) the place has turned into a mini India, as EVERY house put up for sale, is bought by a family from India, with 4 or 5 cars in a 2 car driveway, (strangely, as soon as they move into the house, they all rip out the asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) they seem to be a tribal people and every house is filled to capacity, as the husband and wife are with their kids, the brother and his wife and their parents, all living together. (They are friendly people and they don't cause any trouble... my only issue is the intense stench of spices from their house that fill the air 24/7 to the point that you cannot sit in the back yard or open a window, without being punched in the face from the powerful odour of spices!)

This mainly applies to Punjabi, not all Indian students. It is mainly their community that is involved in gangs and frauds in Canada. Also, this comment is not only to point fingers at Punjabis, but the fact remains that theirs is a very visible community in Canada, and often makes the local news for all the wrong reasons. Unfortunately, for native Canadians, the moment you identify as an Indian, they immediately think you are from a certain Indian community, which many are not. This is creating hatred for even those Indians who are not from Punjab but are from other parts of India. Punjabis need to get a grip on their youth in Canada!

Yapping in Hindi but the video title is in English. If the content is meant only for speakers of a certain language, then use the same language for title too. Otherwise, provide English subtitles. Is that too much to ask? No one would click on a video that has title in Chinese or Arabic, unless they understand the language. By giving English title to Indian language content, you can bait not only the native English speakers but also anyone who can read English. TH-cam is replete with such videos. 100 baat ki 1 baat is Expectation setting! The mass exodus of those with garbage, freeloading mentality from India to Canada, has decreased the perceived value of immigrating to a foreign country.... making it feel like a birthright, instead of opportunity. Many Canadians have shared concerns that some Indians can come across as rude, impolite, or often speak their own language in public places. Disappointed how you can highlight a comment in which one guy is blaming reservations as one of the biggest reasons why people leave India. You should have known that reservations were brought in only because of rampant that has existed for thousands of years and continues to exist even today. Without casteism there wouldn't have been and there wouldn't be any reservations. BTW, with government jobs dwindling by the day under Ramrajya, the number of jobs that are reserved are now almost insignificant compared to the entire job market. Why not go back to India? It's also funny that the upper caste people who are also believers of karma, which they also use to justify casteism, are the ones crying racism right now... Mustn't they have done something to deserve it according to karma? Sorry but no sympathy to reservation-hater casteists or ignorant folks to say the least if they are to be given any benefit of doubt.
love your honest and open videos, whatever you said is absolutely true and if we don't work on these points as a community then it will only add to the fire and ruin the image of the indian community. I would also like to share my views, I think that most of the indian people have friend groups and social circles with not so good people in India already(i.e acting like gundas, thinking their entitled to everything) and when they come to canada they do form these social circles even though in a smaller magnitude and do the things that they did back in India which then ruins the image of the Indian community as a whole. Also music artists add fuel to the fire making songs about gang and shit which encourages the youth to act in a delinquent type way.I live in punjab and have seen that most young people act like gundas and holligan here and cant listen to anyone(KEY WORD MOST). Till we Indians learn to be grateful and act like our culture truly dictates us to act like, until then this hate and streotypes will remain.

The bad odour is something easily avoidable. Usually Indians bath everyday some times twice a day. There’s two things we can educate our fellow Indians on: 1. Apply professional grade deodorant, you can get this at any store for 3-10$ depending on brand. Please apply 5-6 strokes in each underarm immediately after shower. Unfortunately even if we shower daily after an hour or so our armpits start getting sweaty due to our genes so please follow this advice. 2. I understand many people live in student rentals where you cannot use washer dryer everyday, in these situations when you want to water same clothes more than once without the smell of sweat best thing to do is wearing deodorant and not cooking on the clothes you intend to wear second time will keep your clothes smell free. When you don’t have time to bath everyday due to busy schedule quick tip is in the bathroom sink take handwashing and wash armpits by bending over ( wipe off all the water around the sink so that other people living with you are comfortable) immediately apply deodorant. If you are worried about chemicals in deodorants, they have many chemical free deodorants like attitude, dove aluminum free, secret aluminum free act and if you are still worried about spending that money get it from back home in India there is a brand called chemist at play which is just 200/- and use that. please please our country is getting bad name, please use it for good hygiene.

Bringing your local culture to another country Won't help much. Found lots of videos about indian employers exploiting international students by offering less than minimum wage, false promises, abusing etc. Such a culture is present in Asian continents not in the US or Canada. And most established Indians maintain that toxic culture in western countries as well. Now young Indians are experiencing its drawback. Some cases might be different though.
Regarding the deodorant issue, even if they use one in the morning, on hot summer days after a hard day of work at their jobs, they will still sweat and smell. So the right advice would be to carry deodorant in a bag and use as needed.
Besides body odor, one should also be careful with bad breath. Eating v spicy food can cause bad breath. So either brush after the meal or use mouth wash.
I have been in Canada since I was a child. I got lot of racism back in grade 6 to 10 and for last 20 plus years I didn’t see much of it but now it is coming back much more. I had a guy bother me in the parking lot at frshco. I got mad and upset. I said he is racist. His response was “yea I m racist so what”. I took out my camera and I started to record him but I didn’t realize the iPhone default setting is on picture and not video so I held my phone but the recording was not started. At least the guy didn’t know my recording never started just like I didn’t know. I have a mouth full and he ram off in his car. Key was that I had my phone and he thought I was recording. For safety people should use there phone when these events occur. Another event happen a week later. Some guy ramdomly started swearing at us when we were driving in the parking lot. The guy was skin head racist. We had no idea who he was. We were in the car and again my relative drove away as I was pulling out the camera. I think Indians should be careful and really be careful. I m posting this for safety. It’s no joke.
Deodorant part is very odd in Canada because on one area they say that we stink as Indians and then they also have no problems with smell of cigarettes, weed and other toxic smells which I can't tolerate to be honest. And also very surprisingly they have posters in areas like buses or colleges and universities like to use "common scents" where they clearly say that don't apply any scents or deodorants as people in public spaces are sensitive to it... I follow whatever people tell me really I have no problems if I am told to apply deodorants I will put it on but this is something which is really odd...

I cannot agree with you more Piyush! I’m currently living in a Northern Ontario community and because of some Indians, our whole culture and values are misjudged so badly. I hope this message that you’re delivering reaches out to everyone and in a positive manner.
I’ve noticed that a lot of people, especially Indians, tend to talk loudly on trains, even in quiet zones. This can be quite irritating for other travelers.
it's fucking sad that you're having to make a video explaining "don't do illegal stuff" and "don't steal from food banks" or "remember to clean yourself" because the local population are so fed up with your country.
Piyush, what you said is 100% true. I live in Brampton and I see all of these everyday in the class room, bus stops, buses and around my home. I want to add another point... why do Punjabis lower the car's window glass and play the Punjabi songs loudly ?? I observed this even in Toronto, outside my university !
Its not true that punjabi people are bad.. but the age factor plays a huge role. When 17 or 18 years old comes to Canada they immediately gets independence and try to get views or attention which at first it seems attractive for young individuals but they dont think about how they are maligning the image of their community or their country. This applicable to all Indians (Hindus, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujus)
IKR As a fellow South Asian, I've noticed that too. Some of our people do seem to have body odor. It seems that many of them mistakenly believe deodorant is same thing as perfume, to be worn only on special occasions. People need to understand that, just like brushing your teeth, applying deodorant should be part of your daily routine.
@@marajevomanash Not really, sweat is actually odorless. The smell comes from bacteria present on your underarms. Most deodorants have antibacterial properties, so you won't smell as bad as if you didn't apply one. You can also buy an antiperspirant plus deodorant if sweating is an issue..
Great video! I agree with every point you made. You make the Indian community look very good because you're trying to educate the newcomers coming from India. It is sad with the reputation that Indian folks have been getting the past few years, but it is because of a few bad apples. I'm watching your other videos and enjoying them very much! Your all points are 100% valid, especially the deodrant one. I am an Indian too, but i abide by all the rules and regulations and the culture of Canada. I go to planet fitness in Surrey and some guys are there who do not use any deodorant and perfume and as a result they smell so bad.

The deodorant thing is 💯 true…people just don’t to want accept that they stink, and when we tell them politely, their answer is “hum toh nahte hain, yeh log toh nahte bhi nahi hai”
Though I stay in USA, each and every point is legitimate. ASSIMILATION IS EXTREMELY MANDATORY. People moved to Canada in appreciation to its cultural achievements. Make yourself obligated to maintain it if you can't uplift it.

I moved to Canada 55 years ago now I am 78 years old Canada's economy is always up and down Food banks started in the late 1980s recession. I never went to a food bank I always thought someone else needed that food more than I did. But I have seen people fighting for toilet paper rolls on Boxing Day sale in Superstore. That kind of attitude people don't like in Canada.🤔🇨🇦
If you come to Canada no one asked you too you chose it. Follow the rules and integrate into the Canadian society. Like all previous students, before 2018 or all immigrants for that matter. Things people wouldn't do in India they are doing it here have some class.
Well...for starters...it might be because you're not speaking English, which is the common language in Canada...this video as a case and point.
Your English punctuation is out of place. How did you learn racism before you learned English grammar? Funny, eh!
totally. these people have made Australia a living hell too. They only speak in their local language, and that too loud as. Road rules are just a suggestion for them. They expect others to give them a leg-up. The level of entitlement is out of this world.

This is a deceptive practice perpetrated predominantly by people of Indian origin. This proclivity of Indians may not amount to a crime but is a major annoyance.
Imagine the absurdity of uploading video made exclusively for English speakers with content in English but the complete title in a foreign language?
Learn Hindi
@@abidahmed6048 Give me a good reason why I should learn Hindi.
--I have no desire to visit India ever, much less migrate there
(is it now called Baraht as an Indian man told me?)
--I don't enjoy watching nonsensical song & dance bollywood
--I have no plan of dating or marrying anyone from India
So what else could persuade me to want to learn Hindi?
--Scientific and Technical books for advanced studies or Academic and Research materials available only in Hindi
--Consumption of higher quality multimedia only possible in Hindi
At my work I interact with Indians and have formed a perception of India - its culture, caste system, religious issues, politics, etc. The perception I have is not really a flattering one.
So, if you are telling me to learn Hindi so I could watch your whining about some imaginary wrong done to you by Canada or another western country, No, thank you.
@@BrunoSchulze-g4w No dear. Canada will be invaded by us soon so Hindi will be one then most important languages in canada . It will be beneficial for you if you start learning it early .
@@abidahmed6048 No thanks. Its much more beneficial to leave Canada and move to the USA for a proper job market than it is to learn another foreign language and stick around in a country that cant even sustain itself.
I am sorry if that annoys you but it is what it is.
That's how everything works in India as well.
Even On the Indian side of TH-cam, titles are often in English while the content is in Hindi or a mix of Hindi and English. Sometimes, titles are in Hindi, but the spoken language is a mix of Hindi and English. Both Hindi and English are official languages in India, so most Indians are bilingual, speaking both English and their native tongue (thanks to the colonization of India). As a foreigner, you may find this strange, but that's just how it is in India.
It's not just India. This way of communicating is also common in other countries where English is a dominant language, like the Philippines and Sri Lanka.

Bro those were some genuin things us Indians do that Canadian have full right to discriminate us against. Especially the smelling part
Many Canadians have shared concerns that some Indians can come across as rude, impolite, or often speak their own language in public places. Additionally, there's a stereotype that they smell like curry. It's unfortunate that the actions of a few can negatively impact the perception of the entire community. It would be helpful to create videos that educate newcomers about Canadian culture and etiquette. By promoting understanding and awareness, we can help newcomers integrate better and improve the overall impression of the community.

I completely agree with what you said. One more concern i have when when we talk in our mother language at work specially when non Indians are around. This is directly affect employment opportunity to all our Indian.
4:15 You are factually incorrect sir. Food banks are for locals ONLY. Students enter into a contract with the government when they come to Canada from abroad. They are required to be able to support themselves 100% throughout the duration of their stay. Hence they have GICs.

The bad odour is something easily avoidable. Usually Indians bath everyday some times twice a day. There’s two things we can educate our fellow Indians on:

As a fellow South Asian, I've noticed that too. Some of our people do seem to have body odor.
