(india also has like 200 separtist movements due to how bad the central government treats them, from khalistan to nagaland to assam and the naxlites in the south) so this is well deserved when he calls the current state of india horrible

Yeah but you can do that in America because we care about our followers America then some noisy country that only care about image but not truth or its people. What's the to be ashamed of? So india is dirty get on to cleaning it. So india is over crowded? Get on to making the cities become more then just the capital. Move businesses and jobs around and people will follow it thus less crowds. It's not that big of a deal. Your india people cares too much about image then about your follow Indians. Seriously. I'm sure plenty of delicious street food in india does give ppl food poisoning. There's a serious problem in India with food poisoning due to unsafe tap water and bad food hygene, and this is especially bad for foreighners who's bodies aren't accustomed to the bacteria in the area. Acknowledging that isin't the problem, the problem is that he whent around eating food that he knew would likely make him sick, had a great time, didnt even GET food poisining, and then gave the vid a overly negative clickbait title. All those ppl had such tasty food and treated him so well and then he showed that in a vid w a title about how he got food poisoning (which he also didnt, which makes it even worse). Should've had a bit more gratitude yet I'd understand why he would not take kind acts for face value. Travelers like him are treated better than the average visitor like us. Some because they want to give them the best experience or for the pride of their country town whatever. Others because he has greater status (He's white and American) and has money. There's another honest travel blogger who popular for exploring the south America regions and he faces it everyday which is why I could understand why sometimes he could seem cold or cut off, but he always respected vendors and honest people and establishments. The country does not reflect the people. 3rd world countries are not going to be clean and will not provide a completely positive vacation. Despite that, the people of India seem very nice and hospitable and do not deserve to be portrayed as dirty and poor. Sure, there's bad people in India who will take advantage of tourists, but there are people like that in white 1st world countries too. When I was in my late teens, I went on an student exchange to Hungary just after it had left the USSR (yes I'm old, moving on.) The poverty there was unreal and their currency so devalued that you could eat out every night at a restaurant for less than three pounds for a three course meal.
We had local guides from the families of the students and they kept telling us off for not paying attention and getting scammed. Eventually I had to sit one of them down and explain that, even getting scammed, we were paying a small fraction of what these things would cost back home. I let myself get scammed because these people were so poor and I, a teenager with holiday money from my parents, had more than the seller would see in months. Let them scam me, let them get something nice for their families, let them eat well for a while. Who cares if I lost a few quid in the process?
It makes me seethe to see these travel bloggers using a local in the way this guy did. The local put aside his entire day for this man, even paid for him in some cases and then the vlogger has the gall to say that he was scammed? He scammed that local man, he wasted his time. You can't walk around a place talking about the poverty and then be shocked when someone helps you out and then asks for help in return. I guarantee that the amount the local was asking for was less than one of those Patreon donations. (Which he showed over footage of poor children begging? How tone-deaf can you be?)

By giving in to scammers, you're only encouraging them to keep up their fraudulent activities. You have to keep in mind that you're not the only victim; they may have also scammed other Hungarians who may not be in a good financial position like you. Instead of giving money to scammers, you could have donated or spent your money on food and given that to the needy.
Please note that I'm from the Philippines, which is considered a less developed country. Although I cannot say that we are worse off than Hungary at the time you visited, there are still better ways to help the poor than by falling for scams. @@cipmaster1 The thing about scammers in Egypt though, is that they don't form stereotypes about the Egyptian people. I'm only talking about Egypt because it's seen as more of a "normal" or "equal" country in the eyes of white westerners than Morocco. Egyptians aren't portrayed as people to be wary of. People don't tell you to not go to Egypt. All of these countries have a large amount of scammers, but they are treated differently just because of what country is being discussed. Caution should be exercised all the time when traveling to foreign countries, but it seems like people warn others more about Indian scammers than Egyptian scammers.
On the topic of India being more dirty than other 3rd world countries, I don't know much about that. Even still, just because India is dirty doesn't mean Indians deserve to be seen as lesser than. This is especially if they're able to get out of that place and move to 1st world countries and make a living for themselves. Despite that, many Indians who live in places like America and other 1st world white nations are still seen as dirty. Is India dirty? Objectively, yes. Are the people dirty? No. Recognizing a country's negative aspects should not apply to the people as well. That's where these stereotypes come from.

As an Indian woman who has recently been traveling around the country, I've noticed that locals bend over backwards to help out (especially white) foreign people, while a domestic traveler like me only gets a fraction of the same treatment. There were lovely, helpful people but also an equal amount of people giving me unasked for advice when they find out I was traveling by myself or simply not being treated as well. I really don't know when that sort of worship will end but hopefully the friendliness and hospitality remain.
In a related note, I am currently traveling in South-east Asia and I'm often the only brown tourist in some places. This is generally fine and locals have been wonderful so far but I had some (white) tourist come up to me and ask me if I worked at the shop that I too was shopping at. It's not racism to say that India if polluted and filthy. People are allowed to criticize a government without being racist. Your government needs to invest more money in its people. They need to invest in their outdated train system (no one should be packed in like that, it's a serious health and safety issue). No one should be living with animals in the street like that.
No one should be butchering animals in the street either. This is how Covid 19 happened.
No one should be living in abject poverty with poor sanitation.
If India wants to become a modern country then Indians really need to consider these issues.
There's also the issue of violence against women and young girls. Women needs to have rights in a modern society.
It's not racism to acknowledge these things about your society.
I think it's sad that the man in this video does not care about the wellbeing of Indian citizens. He'd rather plug his ears and pretend that India is just fine or if there are any issues then "Colonialism is 100% to blame."
Well the UK no longer controls this country. So if it's not "India's fault," that doesn't mean it's not India's responsibility to take care of its people.
If that's your perspective then you must think it's the UK's job to 'fix it," which just sounds like "let's bring back colonialism" to me.

Jesus you people need to touch grass tbh. Did you really unironically call indians in India "poc"? They're fricking indians. You trying to tell me all pocs are poor and live shit lives? You lot need to grow up and live in the real world.
