Hi Alan, an excellent practical common sense EDC. Mine is much used and almost identical to yours except for the addition of a Nite Glowring on my keyring next to the whistle, so that i can locate it in the dark if necessary. Thanks for the very good video.
Great video. The only thing I'd add is that one can carry a few items in a shoe/boot (in a waterproof baggie) between the sole and cushion - a credit card, cash, a few bandaids... in case you lose your wallet. There are also "ankle wallets"/"ankle first aid pouches" that can of course be retasked if you don't/can't wear cargo pants, or wish to carry more. ATB
Canadian here, I just found your channel. Nice EDC set up!! I generally carry a fixed blade on my belt but also carry a Buck 112 and a SOG PowerPint and a pen flashlight in a homemade leather pocket organizer. I prefer the fixed blade, yet there are places it's a little more appropriate to use the Buck folder. 🤷 I despise wrist watches and cell phones, I carry a pocket watch which either in a case on my belt, vest pocket when I have a vest on and sometimes in my fifth pocket when I have a fifth pocket that is. As for the cell phone I have one I tend not to acknowledge when I absolutely don't have to. But if I'm carrying it either on my belt or in whatever bag I may be carrying that day. The people that need to get a hold of me know how other than that they can leave a message. Usually a amateur radio does the trick for me. Two things I consider vital to my EDC which some may argue are not. My boots and a hat. Boots are either western boots or a tactical style boot and my hats are usually western style or flat cap. You will never find me out and about without these. Both are probably the most useful "tools" I have. I made a leather billfold (cash & cards) that holds a notepad as well. In it I carry duct tape wrapped around a card for boo boo's that will not stop bleeding. I usually have a bag of sorts with me that holds a few other items more specific to my needs, which also holds proper first aid essentials. Oh yes I shouldn't forget my "safety rated" sunglasses. May not be the most stylish, but easier than carrying two different pairs and switching back and forth when required, not to mention the unexpected situations. 🤷 Anyways thanks again for the video Cheers 🤠🥃
I used to have 8 coin holders but the coloured ones broke. Can't find black ones anywhere, even at the Dollar store I found them. Very handy and held $26 of coins: 8-.25, 8-$1, 8-$2.
Good set up mate, I keep to the 2 (well 3 if you include the wee coin pocket on jeans) pockets because I'm guaranteed them. Being a hip young thing 😁 I'm far to 'gangsta to wear breeks with cargo pockets when I'm out throwing shapes. 🤣I've done a show and tell on the forum (Bampot if you hadn't figured) but the pockets are less discreet than yours. You've covered all the stuff I carry (your lighter is better than mine) and if it works for you then that's all that matters. Thanks for taking the time to do the vid, its appreciated mate.
Good to see you back brother. Your previous video didn’t show up in my feed. Nice kit! Heard the grid got dodgy in the UK on 06/01, close to a blackout.
The phone case is a good place to store a paper (emergency) currency; would allow you to repurpose/remove the container. On my self: I only carry 1-2 bandaids/plasters within my wallet; else I carry a guest e aid kit in a backpack or sling. Good stuff!
Very similar to my EDC apart from the pen. I’ve just bought a Whitby knife only £20. I wear trousers from Next, would you believe, six pockets, showerproof, stretch fabric, £32 - Duratrek ordered online.
Nice setup 👌 👍 thanks for sharing 😊❤
