  • We get back to one of our roots, playing with little cars! We found a lot of vintage HO scale slot cars on marketplace and this is the unboxing and reaction.

Fix the tyco chassis. Drill .015 hole in center of broken tab. Make new tab. Reinforce tab with .015 spring steel wire. Use .015 wire to mount to chassis hole. Superglue together .

Peroxide bath ? I've heard of using it for bring back white in plastic bodies. Are you talking general slot car cleaning ? I usually use good old Dawn and a toothbrush!

Yes! Peroxide for getting the white back. For general cleaning, a little dish soap and a soft toothbrush is the answer.

Replace the chassis with a viper scale racing vspec chassis with the proper body clips.

Huh? That particular BMW M1 is not at all hard to find. And that one is discolored. However it did come on a nice chassis with Turbine wheels. Personally have had almost all the M1s over the years and they are very very popular. Lots of them have minor damage so any that don't have something broken are desirable. It's insane what the versions that actually are "rare" can sell for.

It took me a few years to find. I'm not necessarily concerned with reality or value, I just wanted a car from my childhood.
