Another enjoyable video, very well done. The biggest positive change for me has benn new tyres. I selected City Grip 2 and the change in ride and grip is brilliant.

Very complete comment and enjoyable to read. Although personally i do not care about the bulbs in the blinkers 🙂 And "as if it already ran into a wall" made me laugh out loud. I fully agree with you! Greetz, Ron.

For anyone wondering: You can do this in about an hour if it is your first time, the most annoying part is taking the plastic covers off. Be really careful when removing the lower plastic part, the screws are easily damaged, it´s best to change them at the first chance you get.
To open the cvt, you can use a special tool (20 Euros) or use an oil filter wrench thing. You will need a size 17 nut for the screw. If you stick a pipe on your ratchet for some leverage, it is very easy to open.
The rest is pretty straight forward.
When you close it up again, be sure to use the correct amount of torque. In this case it is 80NM. Don´t use thread lock or else you will have a hard time unscrewing it at a later time.
As for weights, I recommend the sliders from Dr. Pulley.

Thanks Watson. All the above is correct. I want to add one more thing although it is explained in the manual. Be careful to remove the lower plastic CVT cover since a ABS wire of the rear tire is clamped on top of that cover. Release that wire first before removing that lower cover. Thanks for your extra info, Watson. Regards, Ron.

Maybe you can help me ? ; ) can you somehow speed up the yamaha tricity 300? now she eats 140 maximum and I want 160-170km / h can you flash a block or what to do so that 300 cubes play their strength?

Sorry, i don't know if you can modify a Tricity to such high speed. What i do know is that it is not designed to reach that speed which makes it dangerous.

I recommend the "plug + play" Version from malossi or even Dr. Pulley. Both are worth it and not that expensive (200€) and easy to install.

Hi, I just bought my Tricity 300 last Friday :) So fun to ride :) But one question I'm struggling to find answer to: How short turn can the Tricity do? Im doing "Parking space drill" but I cant make it shorter... Is it just me or is it limited to how short turn it can make?
Hoping for a good answer or maybe a video about how short turn it can make :)
Best regards from Rolf Ivar -Norway :)

I wonder if this modification is *really* necessary on an engine this size? I understand why you'd want more out of a 50cc for example, but surely the Tricity 300 has enough, for a scooter?
    I have my eye on a Tricity 155 :)

I fully agree with you. And if you have seen my earlier video's you may notice that i always mention that the Tricity is quick enough for me. I also mention it in this latest video. But some people do want to know how you can make it a little faster or at least understand how the CVT transmission works. So that is why i posted this video. Thank you for you comment. Ron

If you are heavier than most people or if you ride in the mountains a lot it is a good option. Just like he said, better acceleration and better overtaking abilities but the RPM´s for any given speed increase and you might lose a bit of top speed.
Generally, if you ride on the motorways a lot, the stock setup is the best for you but if your riding is limited to normal roads you will gain a lot in terms of fun factor.

I am thinking you are not from the UK, because the 155cc is not available in the UK. Also do you need a full bike licence to ride the 155cc ?.
