    Shared with my immediate family… immediately.
    I often remember death.. not out of fear, just out of cold hard awareness that I will experience it.
    This is my motivation to meditate.. to master myself before that day. To transform it from a great fear, to a simple moment of transition.
    Let us all prepare for that transition.

    As someone said, "Hell is Other People". They should have added, "And our own chattering minds". Thank you for this, it should be compulsory viewing at school.

    I think I meditated naturally as a child. I called it daydreaming because that's how it felt, like a dream. It took me away from a stressful home life, where I didn't have much control over my physical location.
    Some use music this way, but now it is silence which gives me the right atmosphere. But it's not as easy as it was as a child and a young adult. The freedom from worry that's natural as a child, is hard to find as older adults. This is a good reminder of the gateway into meditation.

    I have never heard a more direct, succinct, complete and spot on explanation than this 1.5 hr long lecture. It covers everything as far as reasons for motivation, the dedication required and the correct techniques. Effective meditation is both very simple, yet very difficult to learn due to the inquietude and restlessness of the thinking mind, which is the true devil or demon in all of the religious tales.

    • @bossybuddha

      Indeed, the thinking mind that is hypnotized by sensations. Thus, makes the extraction or distinction of the soul and body difficult. Yet, it becomes a useful aid when it is brought to heel, symbolized by Jesus upon the donkey.

    The male speaker for Glorian whoever he might be has one of the best male speaking voices I've ever heard. I'm over 60 and have discovered great personal value in 2022 Astral Doorway which directed me also to Glorian. I must also mention Echkart Toole as one of the few media sources to learn from. As many I've had my share of unhappiness and negativity in my life. Time for change, me change that is.

    The way this is articulated kind of gives all your energy meridians a mini workout.. I don’t know if you’re supposed to listen to this on repeat but I feel like repetition of this just before you fall asleep or just when you wake up can give a powerful affirmation affect. 2nd time. Going to listen to this everyday.

    This was beautiful to listen to, thank you. I've been listening and reading your books for around 2 years. In one of my meditations I realized that all of my defects stem from fear. I'm greedy because I'm fearful of not having enough. I'm lustful because of the fear of being alone. I'm angry because I'm afraid to accept what I can't control. Anyways, keep up the good work!

      All suffering comes from fear at its root. It is the fear of death, the ultimate unknown. Following the practice described in this lecture is really just practicing dying. When mastered, the practice reveals there is nothing to fear so all fear related suffering dissappears. One experiences death. One experiences the eternal consciousness that we are all part of, the essence of us that is never born and never dies. At least that is my take on it.

    There are actually 4 brains, our mind (thought energy centre) , our heart (feeling centre), our stomach (emotional & sexual centre), and spine (spiritual centre). Know these, and clear the 4 minds every day through meditation. Trust me, I do this all the time so my energy can flow as it needs to. And also remember that your energy centres are the real you, this body is just an avatar if you will. So you need to move your perspectives from you knowing yourself as mind and body, to knowing yourself as an energetic centre being (which lies in the core our your body), this is who is really is the one behind the scenes in control. However, when we are not aware of this fact, this control goes to duality. So know this fact, imagine being your energy. For example, imagine you as the cell of yourself when you were first conceived. And when I say imagine, I mean conscious imagine (state this in your meditation always). Become your heart centre, become your emotional centre, become your thought centre, Say this "I AM my Heart Centre", I AM my stomach centre". Even just becoming energy clears it out. So remember you are those energy centres in control..

    Why does it sound so depressing like we have to cut off all the working out, video games, use of social media, watching Netflix, pursuit of earning money because all these are meaningless and we should instead spend time on developing our consciousness 😅 Asking someone to meditate for hours consistently in this day and age does sound quite impossible unless one has a super strong will. Would it be ok to do the above activities as long as it’s in moderation. Or at least try to be mindful of them. I do know I seem to be giving excuses to the modern addictions of society that we spend our time mostly asleep, fixated on those things as we attach our identity to them. I can only try to adopt the Buddha’s philosophy of the middle path/way. Do share your thoughts!

      If we seek to bring about fundamental change within ourselves, we need to put in the necessary discipline.
      Why is it considered noble for celebrities, athletes, and moguls of all types to narrow their areas of interest in order to accomplish their desires, and why is this seen as normal and good, while making fundamental changes within ourselves through the work presented in the video and by Glorian is seen as extreme?
      It seems rather impractical to live such an extreme life as many respected members of our society do, and then require therapy and other measures to balance the imbalances created by veering so far from oneself.
      Earning a living, socializing, and entertainment all have their place. It is a mistake to believe that they are not part of a spiritual life, but we must discuss refinement when it comes to these activities. If the impressions we receive from them ennoble our soul and spirit, then certainly they have their place. However, if they influence us toward depravity, violence, and vice, why do we cling to their protection when they only serve to degrade us? We simply ask that each individual becomes more aware of their influences in order to make a positive impact on their mental and spiritual well-being.

    • @lukekiefer5964
      @lukekiefer5964 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Well it takes hard work- but it’s not like you have to cut out all things- it’s just that you aim to become aware, without attaching your emotions and thoughts, of everything you are doing. You can look at all of life as one big meditation. Then when you have time, do a deep meditation practice. Those things you listed aren’t “meaningless”, just our attachment to them. It is still necessary to do well in physical life, but based on what your inner self tells you is right and wrong.

    Thank you for sharing this!! I was learning about kundalini awakening series from Gene, and lead to here. Love the knowledge and practice shared in your channel!
    One (long) comment though- if you don’t mind giving me clarification. I’ve been trying to put this into words, so I hope you receive this with an open mind because I really meant no bad intention, just want to understand the approach.
    There’s always a sense of self-deprecating talk and a reminder of how much a ‘failure’ we are as an individual and society, from your teaching and from some of the teachers who I respected so much from their wisdom and practices you all shared. Coming from someone who had a bad depression back in 2016, I have came a long way to fight the inner demons in me through meditation and self-awareness. Which along the way, try to adopt more positive and pleasant mindset with my environment. I also believe that everyone around me is always wanting to do the same, and generally try to surround myself with good vibes and knowledge to become a better & calmer person. But I came to realise, that I’m always affected with this self-deprecating thoughts of over-generalisation of the society (i.e everyone is bad, everyone is not meaningfully guiding their life, everyone is not educated about their minds or how to deal with it).
    Your story of the monk instructor, ironically, is a perfect example of how I feel about this, but mentally and spiritually. I feel a bit stressed and sad because there’s always this reminder of we are ALL not good enough. Like, why is that always the focus? We are your students and we are here to be a better human mentally and spiritually. Or is it me who’s too optimistic about the world? Like can’t we be more open about those who want to change rather than focusing on criticising who doesn’t want to? Or not criticising who just want to exercise (because I do believe it’s a form of meditation in itself)? My point is we are here as the students of light and life. I just don’t understand the over criticism part and appreciate if you could help me on accepting this.
    Also thank you for reading until here! :) appreciate any thoughts and comments on this by anyone too.

    • @bossybuddha
      @bossybuddha 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We must understand that the instructor speaks from a place of humility, severity, and great compassion in order for us to grow in our discipline. Along the path, it is easy to become complacent with ourselves, and as the power of the Innermost grows through our works, it can create a dilemma and distraction, leading to the development of mythomania that will lead oneself and others astray towards the Abyss. However, only a few are able to recognize this tendency within themselves, as they feel self-assured in their prattle, believing they possess wisdom. Without prudence and discretion, their knowledge remains incomplete. Feeling proud about these studies is disconcerting since it is the path every soul must walk. Therefore, when the instructor speaks in this manner, it is meant to keep us vigilant and aware, as there are many internal and external dangers to navigate.
      Negative emotions color our perception, distorting what is truly positive into artifice. It is important to understand that truth is spoken from the perspective of the seven rays, and each of us inherits a particular ray. Distortions may arise because we are accustomed to perceiving from a specific viewpoint when presented with teachings from someone aligned with the Martian ray, associated with war, strength, and severity. If we are not self-aware while listening, we may create incoherence within ourselves, projecting our own inner reflections onto others. In an attempt to make it more agreeable, we might attribute something to someone that they have not actually expressed. This is why we need great discretion in our understanding; otherwise, we fall into the traps set by our egos, which are greatly magnified within this society.
      Lastly, the beginning of knowledge occurs when we acknowledge our current state. If we fail to recognize ourselves as fornicators, we will never engage in meditation in order move to our level of being from one level to the other. Instead, we remain trapped in a repetitive cycle of enduring the same humiliations. This principle applies equally to addicts, who may be aware of potential pitfalls but remain unaware of the underlying and deeper causes that can only be revealed through honest self-reflection. Through this unfiltered introspection, true recovery becomes possible. While this may initially seem negative, it is this kind of vigilance that is necessary to uncover the deception of things that may have appeared positive but were, in fact, negative.

    • @Khosenit
      @Khosenit 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree that focusing on the negatives can be discouraging, if we let it. We can use the negatives to acknowledge the obstacles. Denial doesn't do any good... It only prolongs the obstacle of self defense and defensiveness.

    I find this series very informative on many levels and I'm glad I stumbled upon these teachings. Because this type of information is so necessary and welcome for our current time period, I am turned to have to say this. Maybe it's because I am so new to meditation and wanted to actually "Learn Authentic Meditation" and not to be compared to master or to be constantly reminded of what I cannot do or my flaws, why if feel so beaten down with almost half of the lecture. I know I do not have restrain, need to be more observant, to conserve my energy and so on, but how exactly should I go about doing this? Maybe this course was not for beginners and I am in the wrong course. Please note that there are very relevant, step by step guidance sprinkled throughout; however, I was hoping to not be constantly told about what I cannot do or be compared to masters. It's like using google maps to take you from point A to point B. The directions concentrate on what to do. Now I need to learn restraint. Maybe that would have prevented me from writing this comment. Sorry, beginner's curse.

      Please, have patience with yourself as we all begin with much difficulties. Even to the one that has travelled along this path before the difficulties are present and no less difficult. So, if there is frustration learn to take the lectures much more slowly. Perhaps, 30 mins of lecture every few days or even a week with consistent practice each and every day. That way the lessons can be slowly be absorbed with the sense of feeling criticized. Yet, we have to reflect upon this because we often mistaken harshness as condemnation or comparison, when it’s the compassion of the instructor to encourage us onwards.

    How long do I meditate for ?

    • @bossybuddha
      @bossybuddha 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you are just beginning, it is suggestive that you begin in very small increments of 5-10 minutes and advance from there. Essentially, you meditate for as long as you need to. There is no real set time limit, since you are really just learning to work with the Consciousness. As for the advanced meditator they are making their whole life a meditation.

    How can one attain drowsiness? I can sit for like an hour still, relaxed with perfect concentration (only physical senses),but never get any expirience

    • @bossybuddha

      Try to meditate during lead-ups to when you take naps, or when you go to sleep. The difficulty is in the degree of mechanical behavioural habits we’ve established in our nighttime sleep, which makes samadhi irregular at first. Also, besides withdrawing from physical sensations, emotions and thoughts must be quieted as well. What is actually happening is the increase in alertness however all of these centres are put into standby, which gives us the actual experience of meditation itself (samadhi).

    Is it really futile to build a nice and healthy physical body?

    • @bossybuddha
      @bossybuddha 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      No.
      But if it is our exclusive aim without respecting balance for the other parts of ourselves then it does become debilitating.
      Work out and have a strong, resilient and robust body. Remember, do it in balance.

    How to deal with physical insecurity if you got rejected by it????

    • @bossybuddha
      @bossybuddha 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By reflecting on futility, vanity, Habel, Abel, הבל, or impermanence, all must unfold and return from the cosmic breath, the heart of wisdom.
      Our physical body is conditioned to change, thus faulty if we rely on it psychologically for our security and happiness. Even the most beautiful bodies decompose within the grave of time. Even the healthiest of bodies modify into the dirt that feeds the worms. So why do we cling to such attachments?
      When Abel was killed by Cain, it symbolically represented the birth of the self, or the "I" that believes itself separate or independent of dependent origination. Abel helped the sheep, reminding us of Christ, who shepherds us back to the emptiness where love and peace abound resolutely. Cain became attached to the skandhas, which include the five aggregates, of which the physical body is a part. Because of that, Cain could not see God and was sentenced from Eden, עדן, from which he departed.
      To develop a spiritual life, we have to learn how to renounce our previous ways and the things that we once believed to be precious. If we fail to see the limitations of the physicality, we cannot move beyond it. We may even commit crimes because of our attachment to it.
      Eden means bliss, happiness and contentment. To renounce it is because of ignorance. To return to it is because of knowledge. Real contemplation leads us back to it and the understanding of the role of shame which is related to love and sex.
      If we observe the breath in meditation, we will see that it is a beautiful recitation of how our entire life is characterized by coming and going. Through serene reflection, we can develop comprehension about the function the body plays. It is necessary for it to be strong and robust, but it should not become the sole source of our security and well-being. We are all born imperfect, and it would be absurd for anything to become a source of pride.

    The example with the police is not very good, the police person knows he has the big stick which he will use in the end, putting the person in jail. Try seeing what the police person would do in his/her own household, where s/he won't be putting his/her own family members in jail, try seeing what s/he does, probably won't be so composed I'm sure. Great teaching, just nitpicking.

      We do not need to blame them. We just need to urgently put into practice what is right, then gain mastery to help others.

    This was great. But I hated the policeman analogy. That guy was probably on a power trip like most of them are. It’s easy to be calm when you can literally kill someone in the street and get away with it. Not sure how old this video is but they could probably use another analogy that makes more sense in this day and age.

      This story relates to an experience in the internal worlds. The police that were observed were not in the physical world. They were "karmic" police, not terrestrial. When you listen to these lectures, the instructors are explaining things on deeper levels than it may appear.

      The one who chases us is truly our Innermost. He uses his left hand of Geburah to deliver karma for us. When we find ourselves angry and bitter, it is because we do not want to pay what we owe. We do not know how to face the obstacles of our lives with dignity. Instead, we search in our minds for justifications as to why anger, resentment, hatred, and bitterness are necessary. Here, we turn into expert murderers of the innocence of the soul, our consciousness. How then can we rise up and have peace within if we cannot see this?

    • @bossybuddha
      @bossybuddha 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Indeed, the one to whom we owe is our Innermost, as we are the profligates. The karma to which we owe has led us to the life we live. If we wish to change, we must not blame our external circumstances but use them as an impetus for change. All of our difficulties are like resistance weights that help us build the muscle, the willpower, needed to cultivate the virtues lying beneath. We learn to do this when we meditate on our defects and transmute our sexual energy, enabling us to have the energy to harmonize the imbalances in our lives.
