      The flame never dies. It’s only hidden beneath a thick smog. That is it is forgotten, which is to be distracted. What dies belongs to time and that is the personality and the egos. To choose to realize this consciously or unconsciously is our choice.

    I think this is the first time I correlated my everyday actions (with) 'restraint' with the relaxation of meditation. 'Listening' to the voice, essentially doing what you tangibly know to be true in each moment, leaves more energy (or less distraction) for the balance and practice of stepping into divinity. Wow! 👍

      This saying rings very true for me. When I first stumbled upon spirituality it was by chance that I found Ram Dass, and he was the first that could speak so clearly to my very over-intellectualized mind, and helped me through a tough spot in life. Then I found the channel Astral Doorway over my university’s winter break where I was working in a factory and could listen all day to his various series. I came across this channel a bit later, and wasn’t ready to hear what it had to say, and never really gave it a chance, and I must not have been ready. Then upon giving this meditation series a chance starting yesterday, this channel spoke to me and everything switched on like a lightbulb. It convinced me to start journaling and begin a log of spiritual lessons I find, as well as realizations I have through my own mediation. Very interesting how this principle of the guru appearing when you are ready seems to apply so directly.

    thanks for the information, it's helpful.
    on Ahimsa(do no harm) in mindfulness they add that not to harm yourself, having compassion to ourselves, cause most of the time we beat up ourselves thinking we are not good enough, beautiful enough, strong enough, etc...
    when we can have compassion to ourselves and practice acceptance it can be easy to have compassion to others cause how we feel inside manifest outside.🙏

    I want to Thank You for this. I've made a Playlist of the 8. The best, understandable, in depth, accurate teaching I've found in almost 12 yrs. of My practice. You made it way easier to comprehend all of these realities. Don't get Me wrong, Ive learned alot from many Teachers on TH-cam and I am very thankful for them all, but You filled in alot of realities I've had trouble with, like actually ....seeing.
    I asked SEVERAL times about this and never received a clear answer. Like they were....afraid, or not willing to or just didn't know if it was real. I never went to study clairvoyance because I thought it was in another subject area of its own. And never told or even suggested to, to ...go there. So thank You for this. 🥰😄

      When our mind is silent we are able to leave our body, or samadhi.
      We must transcend our mind by putting it into abeyance by comprehending its many suggestions and distractions. Once steadied, it should heel to our call so as to pacify and allow the ability to visualize to totally arise, with fixation on an image until absorbed within it we leave the body in a samadhi.

    These are all very good🙏. @23:55, talking about Pranayama not being able to move freely if we are tense-my question then is: some medititational exercises recommend moving Prana by engaging pelvic floor muscles and root lock-thus driving the prana up the spine. This seems contradictory. How would/can I understand this better🤔???

    • @Glorian
      @Glorian  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on your goal. If you want to enter meditation, you must become still and silent. All pranayams taught in authentic meditation traditions are intended to lead to stillness and silence. There are many pranayama techniques that are very popular but have nothing to do with actual meditation.

  • @rickthibodeau5874
    @rickthibodeau5874 ปีที่แล้ว

    My biggest question is when meditating is being aware of a thought, feeling or impulse just knowing it’s there then say moving back to focusing on breath. That “letting it be” and just moving back to breath, is that disassociating with it.
    I know at some point to do the shadow work you need to meditate on the causes of thought or feeling to exercise the ego. I wanted to be sure I wasn’t over simplifying the process.

    • @Glorian
      @Glorian  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The initial aim is to develop enough concentration that you do not forget you are meditating. Once you have that, you no longer need to concentrate on breath or simple objects: you should then be meditating on egos, sufferings, problems, etc.

      The instructors who teach the lectures and courses are volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Each has years of experience teaching and working with the practices and exercises that awaken the consciousness. Since the goal of dharma, yoga, or gnosis is to follow our inner Being, and to focus on divinity not terrestrial personalities, the lecturers remain anonymous, and do not broadcast their names, faces, or personal information. They do not have spiritual titles or names, do not accept followers, and live their lives anonymously like any other person in society.

    I have a question about Brahmacharya - everyone I look online about it is men talking about semen retention, and a lot of traditional websites tend to say don't even marry. I'm an engaged lesbian with no desire for celibacy, but I also have such a minimal sex drive that when my partner and I do the do it's all about our emotional connection and sharing energy. I'm not distracted by sex or masterbation and we both have discussed how sex is just a fun thing we do every couple weeks. but has no bearing on our level of intimacy and love for each other. Does that sound like it can be in line with these teachings?

    If we abandon everything that makes us seemingly human, how do we maintain relationships? If I'm devoid of desire, why would I want anything? Why would I want to hug my grandmother or love my wife when these people can die or leave me. Isn't wanting that also a cause for suffering?

    • @Glorian
      @Glorian  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The word desire used in the video refers to selfish desires like envy, lust, pride, laziness, etc. By conquering them, our true nature is liberated, which is genuine love, contentment, patience, zeal, diligence, compassion, etc.

    Really hope someone answer me, I’m 16 and I suffered a lot in these last years from thinking, from asking myself questions that I couldn’t find the answers, I discovered what really is meditation like a month ago and I’m so interested by it, by the consciousness, but I’m having problems to restraint myself, cause I’m doing things i should not be doing, but I’m afraid I can’t let them go, because I feel like they help me to stay alive, even if their harmful and I still wanna enjoy life as society tells to (even if it’s damaging), I don’t know why but I’m afraid that because I’m a teenager I can’t simply be as conscious as an adult and that is blocking me, maybe I’m wrong but I can’t find the answers myself. also I take antidepressants and I’m question that they are some what blocking my “real” consciousness, do they affect this “journey”?

      We must train ourselves to stay focused on whatever task that is at hand. Our whole attention and focus allows us to notice that imperceptible flaw in any situation which awakens the consciousness, if we know how to simply step aside and test for ourselves whether we are within our physical body or outside of it. If we will do a little jump to see whether we will float, or to simply pull our finger to see if it was elastically expand will be enough to alert us and awaken our consciousness.

    “The wealthy acquire their wealth by taking it from others”. While undoubtedly true for some, this is not universally true.
    I own a business. The employees voluntarily give their labor, to earn a living. The customers voluntarily give their money, because they will benefit from the service. And, I am “wealthy”, and pay taxes from which the society benefits.
    I did not “take” anything from anyone-they voluntarily exchanged their labor or money for their personal gain. All involved are better off than they were before the transaction described.

      @@Glorian“Poverty” is the natural state of mankind-poverty is literally a “lack of wealth”, just as darkness just is a lack of light. By material standards, indigenous people are quite “poor”. Consequently, there is only one solution to “poverty”, and that is wealth creation. Those who create wealth through voluntary exchange with others elevate the overall well-being of humankind-employees have a job, and consumers enjoy the goods or services.
      Those who “take” wealth through coercive force or fraud are the problem…i.e. corrupt governments and criminals.
      Too many “spiritual” people cast aspersions at the “wealthy”, as if creating wealth is in and of itself somehow harmful. It is not.
      And, how much of the “harm” of wealth inequality is really just envy and covetousness experienced by those with a relative lack of wealth? In the United States, anyway, the poorest people, for the most part, have what would be by historical, worldwide standards, a very comfortable lifestyle.
      So, whereas superficial spiritual seekers tend to extol the virtuous poor over the exploitative wealthy, the discerning seeker knows that, as always, the truth lies in the middle way, that the greed and ambition of the “wealthy” are no worse than the sloth and envy of the “poor”.
      Just one man’s opinion, of course!

      Indeed. We provided the links to indicate what the instructor was referring to. Ultimately, each of us are simply receiving the consequences of our previous actions. The problem is that none of us see the truth of that, and instead point our fingers at others.
