    A beauty from the past. As a small child, I remember them running through Arcadia.
    Thanks

    You did a very nice job... artful. I was lucky enough to be there the week before taking videos. Only car 500 was running at the time. 500 and 501 are very new and in great shape. I'd like to see them on the F line in San Francisco. Nice shots of 1098 in your video. Can't believe that San Pedro cared so little to let these go to make a new entrance to Port O Call at 6th st.

    Such a shame that they're closing the line. Thanks for the video, it's one for the archives.

    Snuffy, I really enjoyed seeing the truly wonderful Waterfront San Pedro Red Line Car Line Car!They sincerely need to keep the awesome Red car line, and send them to a Railroad Museum instead of destroying a piece of history.Thank you! :-)

    God I love that view of the battle ship and the Trolley car. And the lighting! Good stuff. I feel like I've been out on a lark. (To do something on a whim or just for fun.)

    Really enjoyed watching these Pacific Electric cars that would have once ran through L.A. Hope they preserve these cars,would have been nicer if they could have kept them running where they are at present.

    Where will the electrics go? Possibly into a museum that takes their locos out for a run sometimes?

    • @singwith
      @singwith  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +YourLocalRailfan I heard they gonna keep them.

      +maxrailroad Yea, what they are saying is, it costs 20 million to bring back the line.

      +Snuffy's Cat Productions Cool video, I was in Wilmington the day before this and I had planned on getting last video of the cars but guess what? I forgot! Fortunately I do have a video of this but I took it back in February and have published it several months ago.

    So what are they going to do with the trolleys

  • @martinishot
    @martinishot 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been to the waterfront often and can't believe the line cannot be rerouted for the new development. For example route it to bypass the condos through the ports o call parking lot right alongside the restraunts and shopping. Its a long walk to walk the entire length of ports o call so it has a real practical purpose there. Some parts of the shopping area get largely ignored and this would improve that.Has anybody pushed for this or another answer?

    i was there in 2016 on holiday from the UK and i wondered what the disused railroad was,now i know,i thought it was a electric tramway because of the overhead wire.

    Its a shame, LA a once railroad city, is starting to just become an abandoned railroad track litter.

      @spfilms4449 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Michael Harris trust me the rail cars them selves will not go to waste. orange empire may get one and another may go to another electic rail museum.

      Their not destroying the cars im pretty sure their would have been a riot especially for the real pe car their in storage the line is being destroyed

    • @Autism74
      @Autism74 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They cost a lot of money to build and at the time this line closed they were only 11 years old so I don't think they would want to waste money like that

    these glacial speeds are due to poor track.. rather than the system design !
