There's a reason the name of the place is Banh Khot Vung Tau. You need to try that in Vung Tau. Just like eating grits in NY. Even if there's grits in NY, it's just not the same as the grits in the South.
I love it when you review things honestly. Delicious then delicious, if not then it is not. Unlike some other channels, they literally find everything "wow! delicious!". Love that grilled banana sticky rice dessert. I have to drive just under 300km to get some and haven’t had any for over a year (due to coronavirus travel restrictions). . Great video as always, Max. Stay safe, be healthy and eat well. ✌️
Max's oral narration is clean and for mainstream audience (and Max's handsomeness also wouldn't hurt with female audience), but it is Phuc Map's witty humor and off-course remarks that make me watching the whole video to the end. I'd like it much better when there's a collaborated video with Mr. Phuc in it.
That chicken looked insanely delectable...but I guess looks can be a bit deceiving as you seemed a bit disappointed. Or maybe you were expecting it to be good by itself without the sauce? And that grilled banana dessert is ALWAYS a win!
I applaud you two for eating everything. I eat lots of veggies, but I can't seem to get pass the veggie that smells like raw fish, no matter how hard I try. Have lots of them in my backyard though. My sister planted them and she moved to Little Rock, so no one eats them here at my house in NLR.

I'm from Vung Tau. I used to make banh khot growing up. In Vung Tau, many restaurants are still make banh khot the original way. I never seen the pan being filled with so much oil.

Vũng Tàu is very close to HCM city , I think the taste will be pretty much the same though. It’s literally just 1.5-2 hours driving.

Tbh it has red color but not spicy at all, they use low Scoville chilli, even kids can eat this :D.
