im no cheater, i use a vpn here and there though, so if i forgot to turn it off before gaming id get banned?

I like the videos but vpn is a popular thing if they aren't actually using cheats then this seems a bit like admin abuse. If they can't use VPN but you can tell they are, it shouldn't let them on the server instead your punishing possible non cheaters for having a VPN.
He doesn't actually ban people for using VPNs, he's just joking.

@@eagle25311 War Thunder is actually a really good game (as demonstrated by my 2900 hours played), but at high tiers the cheaters are relentless, and Gaijin are toxic as hell
see this is why I'm glad I suck at WT, it means I can only play low-tier and all the cheaters are in high-tier

Though like 90% of that was just bots, most “cheaters” don’t get through to top tier
I’ve only seen 2 blatant cheaters, both at 2.3 & 3.3 respectively
Shooting straight up with a BT-7 and killing people across the map, and a dude in a Panzer 3M that was using ESP
Both got banned fairly quick
Besides that, cheaters are either really subtle, or trash at the game anyways, and so it doesn’t make a difference lol

Those players were cheating using actual hacks and cheats.
The joke is- very often when cheaters get caught, they lie and say “I wasn’t using hacks, this is admin abuse!” So Camomo is going to ban them for cheating, but *tell* them they are banned for using a VPN. And this will confuse them and make them angry because it’s a bad reason for a ban (which is just like how other players fighting cheaters will get angry).

I don't play Rust, but i do love watching the videos. Im curious though, why so against VPN's? Real talk, being on the internet these days without one is kinda cringe. I'm just more curious why they are so against VPN's when Comomo says they are cheating. Not flaming anyone just curious why that counts as " cheating"

If the question is whether EAC gets him or another admin gets him, of course its an admin getting him. EAC sucks ass at what they are supposed to be doing. The great server admins like Camomo make the game playable. If it was up to EAC, the game would be absolutely unplayable.
Not sure you’ll actually read this, I’ve never played rust, but watched all your videos now lol. Any chance you could do a viewer submitted(so you can sift through all the dbag dumb ass comments) Q and A video? (Obviously you’re not giving away your amazing secrets lol) but I as a non player have wondered how someone who did cheat, knows they did something stupid, and wants to get back on rust the right way would even go about it. Like who do they talk to? How do they start over the right way without it being ban evasion or getting more game bans having game bans and just wanting to freely play the right way without banning them more. Have definitely seen a few that just felt unfair that you banned them and they might actually have just been trying to be upstanding player and do it right. Just curious how they’d be able to do it.
To your question at the beginning of the video: "Invalid Packet Format" This will not only NOT help them have an actual reason, but its close enough to home that they will think their cheat is breaking the game and may discourage them from using it till they figure out the truth. I did something similar with an anti cheat on garry's mod that detected attempts to mess with net strings
@ Comomo downloafed the game last night on steam , picked a fairly smal map [EU] to play on (noob at the game) was on for 5 min and killed by a ninja ,respawn , 2min later after chopinh down 1 tree got rekt by a caveman with a stone for 1 trees worth of wood nice server ...not

hi Camomo how are you? i wanted to ask you a question? i have rust and i have played more than a 1000 hours on rust more admin than game itself but i went over to linux because studying for a penetration tester but because of eac you can not play rust. now some people say you can on servers with the eac off but i can't seem to connect to it maybe because im using linux parrot but when do you think the devs will include linux because i don't want to play against a cheater. there is Sunken Land but it's not the same as rust. thank you

VPN's also try to protect cheaters, pedophiles, scammers, stalkers and all manner of criminals from police and admins. from a admin side vpn' users try to circumvent accountability and are not worth allowing the risk

@@sproductionsinc just some food for thought, supporting VPN's for non business purposes ( eg extending a intranet off site) is just ensuring that pedo's can groom more children and get away with it thanks to no log policies and IP address hiding. there is nothing a VPN does that cant be achieved by a good firewall and use of proxy servers and that way no money goes to developing pedo shields
