I was on a Suffolk county vollie dept from 1968-1972. Went on to a career first in the Air Force
Then in a couple other states ending up in Oklahoma. 48 years in the fire service, but my basics were learned in those 4+ years and throughout my professional career would fall back on them. Long Island firefighters were and still are pretty damn good!! 🧑🏻‍🚒👩🏻‍🚒

1:26 that’s not true. Most places throughout the world are volunteer firefighter, not paid.
