Plain and simple refs where terrible in this game both sides. Phantom hold call on Miami's touchdown which would have put them up 21-7 was the turning point in the game. Still have faith in this canes teams. Credit to VT they came to play but if you think this canes team isn't good your crazy. Of course other fan bases are gonna hate which is fine its expected.

Miami's defense played terrible and Cam threw 2 picks that if he doesnt rush the throw are easy TD's. The refs take a td Away from us on a horrendous holding call. In addition, Vtech played as good as they possibly could across the board. With all that, the Miami Hurricanes still found a way to win. We are 5-0, and will fix the errors me made on friday night and beat Cal this weekend by 2 touchdowns. Lets go Canes baby.
I havent found the specific angle he is talking about, but Eric McClain said (on his podcast) that the ACC Huddle Crew saw (on their Saturday morning show) an angle from the back of the endzone that clearly showed the ball was moving. He said this was not shown on the broadcast, but was available to the ACC crew. It seems that was what led to the overturned call.
IQ test not required I see how foolish is it to juxtapose Last year to this year and MILLIONS more of eyeballs vs Miami on a regular basis ...it aint calculus its algebra brah';
hey the miami vt game peaked at 4.4 mill. it is also espn 2nd most watched friday night game since 2018 and top cfb game of the night. Two acc teams not named clemson and fsu. if the ratings deal was to be passed in the acc would that mean that miami and vt earned a larger percentage share?
You know why the Big 10 is dead set on 9 conference games? Because if they played more non cons, they would be exposed for the shit conference they really are. If you look this century, outside OSU and like 5 years of UM, it is a couple of ok teams and the rest dumpster fires. Any other team that gets ranked does it on large part on the back of a shitty non con and that tge conference is a dumpster fire. And expansion? They added a midling Wasington school, USC who has not been better than ok in two decades, and a UCLA school who hasn't been good in god knows how long. Only Oregon was a value add.
As a Hokie fan, Brent Pry has NOT escaped blame. The four bad coaching decisions where I just don't understand and why blame him for the loss-- The fake field goal, the squib kick, going away from Tuten, and poor clock management in the last two minutes. Don't get me wrong, there were some bad calls by the refs that also contributed but if better coaching decisions were made Tech wins. Miami fans would rather say they almost lost because they played horribly as opposed to saying VT's defense was the reason why they looked pedestrian. VT's Team played a great game and as I've said since the first game of the season, VT is a much better team than the record suggests, but it's a shame poor coaching has them at 2-3.
Every team will have one of these games, great teams find a way to win. In past years, Miami loses that game. There is no way that Miami should have let that game be in a position where an Anti-Miami biased referee could have cost them the game with a call that was completely incorrect (he was out of position and made the call late ala the OSU bowl game where they called phantom P.I. penalties until the team they wanted scored). In a 12-game season, every team plays to their standards 8 or 9 times, play way over their heads once or twice and plays way under their standards the rest of the games. Miami played way under, and Va Tech played way over their respective heads. Miami will not survive another game like that. Great job Alex & Kenton
He went for it because he knew they were outmatched. He didn’t feel that the 3pts were sufficient. Deep down he felt that if they couldn’t get the 7pts they were gonna lose anyway. ALSO the people “outraged” that there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the call feel that “VT got robbed.” But that means they would be completely okay with Miami being robbed because clearly calling it a TD was the wrong call. So what’s the issue with them fixing their mistake??
I Enjoyed the show fellas!!! FSU was never a top 10 team in 2024 despite the meaningless preseason ranking. What's funnier than FSU being 1-4 is that Mike Novell said during fall camp that his 2024 team may be his best ever. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The ACC officiating incompetence lives on. Screwing Miami regularly seems to be a pastime of theirs over the past two decades. The power to rule a touchdown/no touchdown needs to be taken out of the on field officials’ hands, if they did not see it. Why rule on it if you didn’t see it? In such cases, it should be left to the teams to challenge it, and if no time is left and the game depends on it, then it should be reviewed by the ACC headquarters, as it was. Luckily, it is evident in the replay (Can’t believe people still ignore it) the ball kept moving all the way down. If, if a Miami player was able to wrestle it easily out of VT player’s possession, it probably wasn’t secured in the first place. Move on everybody, Miami did after the non-fumble in last year’s GT game.
guess Louisville had a bye last week since I didn’t hear them mentioned. I thought they lost to Notre Dame but could be wrong. Oh yeah, they are Louisville not really part of the ACC right?
Love the show and Kenton’s commentary but his constant yelling is annoying. Raising your voice or yelling at times for énfasis is great but not constantly.
This is why Miami should never join the SEC or Big 10! It's better to beat the crap out of their media money bag darlings! Plus, let's be real their product is bad when it transfers to the NFL.
You all do realize just how contradictory you sound when you say “I know it wasn’t a catch!!” AND ALSO say “the video is inconclusive!!” Umm, then how do u know it wasn’t a catch? Because you’re a Miami fan? Because it was a Hail Mary? Because Miami celebrated first? I mean Were you closer than the two refs? Do I know it was a catch? No. but was it conclusive to overturn? NO!!!
It wasn’t a catch… plain and simple. The ACC statement of why it was ruled so IS indisputable. A Miami player was touching the ball - while out of bounds - before ANYONE could complete the catch. Dead ball. :00 on clock. Game Over. Not sure what there is to talk about anymore. Debating if the ball was moving beyond that or who ended up with the ball after that is pointless.
