I glad you are keeping two puppies. You probably should always have Dixie with another guardian dog because she will still want to be a guard dog and she can’t defend herself if she goes after a predator.

@@vgil1278 I seen Carly running in the background here and there and she actually just runnin on 3 legs. She just holds up the one with the bad foot and goes. Dixie gonna be the same way. Lots of 3 leg dogs out there do just fine.❤️😃
Lots of animal fats ,lard and dripping I've seen with my own eyes bring a 18 yr old dog back to life who was getting pts that day, he was nable to walk, see and sitting in his own urine and feces, 2 weeks rest and food later and he's running round the farm like an pup, blind pup still but has a full life n is currently 20 or 21!
Perhaps she’ll want to nurse them but Dixie may need to just know they’re ok then spend time healing. Nursing is an energy & nutrient drain on the Mom that Dixie can ill afford right now. Mama & Papa Eddy will decide what’s best & go from there.
I do believe she fought with coyotes. She made it back to farm cause of her puppies and the love you guys share with her. Your dog your decision but in my heart you did the right thing for her. She just wagged her tail so much trust she had in you. A dog's love you can't buy it's given with love.

It's wonderful to see Dixie back on the farm. It amazes me that a dog went through that kind of surgery and be able to walk on her three legs, wagging her tail. Thank you for giving Dixie, the hero of the Eddy Family Farm, another chance in life. I love you guys, your children and your animals. So glad Dixie pulled through the surgery. She will still be on alert, maybe even more so. Please give our thanks to Dr. Green. Country vets are often (in my opinion) better than the "big city" vets as they see more of a variety of animals with different injuries/health issues and understand country life

I was so disheartened when I watched the video of you saying that you were going to put Dixie down. I just couldn't watch another video after that. BUT, today, I watched this one. It just shows you what GOD has planned for this beautiful Dixie. She was meant to be there and will be a blessing to everyone. GOD has everything planned out. How wonderful to see Dixie back home with her family (both human and fur babies). She looks great! God is good and he has blessed her with a second chance. I'm sure she will do well with her recovery and will make a great tripod dog. God Bless!!
Dixie will be fine. A year ago my dog (Abby) a doberman was attacked by 4-5 coyotes. She needed 37 stitches....2-3 sutures from puncture wounds thru out her body. As well as, Abby, needed total knee replacement surgery. My wife is a DVM and she treated Abby for the puncture wounds and fighting off infections. Which was treated first. About a month later. one of my wife's colleagues did the knee surgery. He's a DVM, orthopedist. Abby had to have 2 surgeries for the repair. All this time Abby, was on three legs..injury was the left rear leg. As time went on, Abby adjust so well, you wouldnt notice she was using only 3 legs. I should not Abby is still young and quite active. That was the challenge. Keeping her non-active to let the repair job heal. Was not easy. Dixie will adjust too. Dogs are quite resilient animals. You'll all be pleasantly surprised.
I am so happy for Dixie. GOD requires forgiveness. So forgive yourself and don't beat yourself up anymore about decisions you made in the heat of the moment. You had time to think things out and made a good decision. Dixie will recover, because she is loved. She has you, your family and her babies to aid in her healing. At the end of the day all is well and GOD IS GOOD! 😌♥️🙏🏽
I was torn over the whole thing with Dixie, it’s funny Dixie is not even my dog however I love her like she’s mine too😂 I am so happy that you decided to give her a Chance.😊
I just discovered this channel. I love ur farm and all of ur animals !!!!! I grew up on a small farm…..with goats, horses, chickens, sheep, ducks, and cats. What a beautiful way to raise children. I’m a loyal, faithful follower now. Thank you sooooo much for making the decision to save Dixie. Dogs adapt extremely well to losing a limb. She will be just fine. Please do not beat yourself w for considering putting her down……that is a VERY difficult situation to be in, with a lot of conflicting emotions running through your head and heart. I think everyone would have considered it briefly. The important thing is that you chose to keep her alive. She will heal and live a long, good, happy, fulfilling life. Much love to you all ❤
It was such an unfortunate incident but what fun the kids will have telling everyone they have a tripod dog! ❤️ Sadly, dogs lose a leg everyday and go on to live normal, happy and healthy lives! I’m so happy for Dixie and you guys❣️❣️❣️
God will always provide a way. Give him the glory and thanks. I’m so happy you are a sensitive man with a loving heart. Your children are lucky to have you and Stephanie as parents.
I've been, practically, holding my breath since your last video on Dixie. I started prayer for her the second I saw her leg. Prayers are being answered, thank You Lord, and will continue.
Brandon you are absolutely correct, you can’t beat yourself up over a spur of the moment decision in an emergency! I know you love your animals and your family. It would be a very difficult decision for anyone!!! You are a wonderful human, thank you for your service on the force and for who you are! Don’t forget to take the time to forgive yourself…you deserve it!♥️ As far as your shirt….no one cares because you’re doing what you’re doing for your family!!! God bless you for being you!!!❤️
Dixies milk will come back in. Once the puppies stimulate her for milk. It may take 24 hours or so, but she can and will produce milk for her puppies. I'm just sad to see her not nursing her puppies and them not staying with her. I completely understand you're worried about her incision. I know you know what is best for Dixie. I'm so happy you made the right decision for her. You're a wonderful, caring family! God bless! ❤ ❤
I knew you all would make the best decision for you and your family thank the Lord that Dixie made it through the surgery ❤. Love you all and praying for Dixie for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
That was the best TH-cam video I have ever watched! So, so very happy for Dixie and your family. Continued success for Dixie’s healing and for the pups. 🙏🙏❤🙏🙏❤🙏🙏
I had a dog one time that front leg had to be amputated at shoulder. He did great! Could run and even go up barn steps. And could give hugs and kisses.
I am so glad that she made it through surgery. I am and have been praying for you all and Dixie!!! Continuing to keep her and you in our hearts and prayers. 🙏🏻🕊🙏🏻🕊🙏🏻🕊🙏🏻💞😘🥰🌹💖
I am so happy that Dixie will be coming home I know that she will heal and do fine on three legs but the most important thing is you're going to have your fur baby back thank God I praise God and I pray and I thank you all for keeping her alive 🙏
I may be a b____ sometimes but I would never have allowed you to put Dixie down!!! I had checkbook out when you announced you were going to do the amputation!!! I would have paid her medical bill if necessary!!!❤for Dixie!!!
I’m so happy that they are going to fix her up for you guys that makes my heart happy. I love you guys. The kids made me cry but I’m glad she’s gonna be able to come home.
My Scooter is a tripod. He jumped off the couch Aug 2023 (after turning a year old) and two days later he was coming up the stairs to my bdrm. It was also his front leg. He adapted pretty quick. I hope Dixie will adapt well too. Sending good healing vibes to Dixie ❤😌
Look into pet insurance. Better to have it and not need it but you never know when you will. If a predator did this to the dog it will be back. I'm normally not into trapping unless it's to live trap and move them, but in this case I would as you say dispatch it. Hopefully she dispatch it herself. Have you look around your farm for blood?? Could've been one of your donkeys they will dispatch dogs. Don't forget to put a tarp on for a roof. Slope the ground so water runs away from kennel.

“so her leg will still grow back?” the sweetest most innocent comment… melted my heart❤

Grow back because they amputating the leg which means chopping the bone and everything else that makes the leg grow off

You can also give that to Dixie, the puppy food will give her extra vitamins and calcium to replenish her body.

Much love to you all ❤
Hearing her moan like that hurts. But at least we can hear her. She will be back to herself in no time..💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏.
It was such an unfortunate incident but what fun the kids will have telling everyone they have a tripod dog! ❤️ Sadly, dogs lose a leg everyday and go on to live normal, happy and healthy lives! I’m so happy for Dixie and you guys❣️❣️❣️
❤️🙏Thank you GOD
Thank you JESUS
Letting your Dixie may it back home 🙏❤️
Animals are extremely adaptable when it comes to losing a limb. She will be just fine. GET BETTER SOON DIXIE !!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Jesus. So happy I’m crying again now in joy
God bless you for being you!!!❤️
I think Dixie will be able to do more than you think around the farm. ❤❤❤
God bless! ❤ ❤
Also following Doctors instructions.
But she's on antibiotics and pain meds... the meds can be dangerous for the pups too so another reason probably safer for them not to nurse
I knew you all would make the best decision for you and your family thank the Lord that Dixie made it through the surgery ❤. Love you all and praying for Dixie for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
My heart is full. This is a miracle

I had a dog one time that front leg had to be amputated at shoulder. He did great! Could run and even go up barn steps. And could give hugs and kisses.

I'm so glad you decided to do surgery. Sending prayers 🙏🙏🙏
Listen - to put that kind of cash into a surgery is absurd !!! I believe it’s robbery - I’m SO happy she will be home, & loved for many years !!!
So glad Dixie made it through surgery! She will get so much special love !
