      Just shot wide open on the Sigma 18-35 at f1.8 and made sure my focus was good. No additional effects used in post. Thanks !

    this video is really good let alone for a first wedding video, do you have any experience in videography before this or first time using a camera also

      Hi thank you very much for the compliment!
      I started in video with my phone and a gimbal about 2 and a half years ago shooting my own music video (I started my creative journey in hiphop from 2016, not so much time left now to be making music sadly). Gradually got my first camera(s) and then evolved in my filmmaking with some more serious projects. Still a side hustle though as I still work a full-time job. Dreaming about more... Thanks again !

    did you use ND filter on the outdoor shots?

    Beautiful images!! I noticed that you are a long-time GH5 user. I have a GH5 and I'm torn between upgrading to the Lumix S5IIX or the Fuji XH2S. Regarding IBIS, do you feel a significant difference between the GH5 and the XH2S? Thank you!

    • @AntonJDCreatives
      @AntonJDCreatives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi thank you very much for the kind words! I have used the GH5 for about a year as my A-camera. The IBIS of the GH5 is notoriously good. Although at first I didn't really notice it being THAT good straight from the camera. But when applying even light stabilization in post it really becomes super smooth and gimbal like for small slow movements. I imagine the S5ii(X) being close in terms of IBIS, although it's a much bigger sensor that needs to be stabilized instead of a GH5 micro 4/3. The Fuji on the other hand really lets me down at times IBIS wise. You really have to be super steady with your hand to get smooth footage that stabilizes well in post. In my opinion, the margin of error is really thin here. You get unnatural like jitters or movements pretty fast, even in really slow movements in 60fps that are, in turn, being slowed down more in post. This makes the GH5 IBIS probably seem even better than it is for me compared to the X-H2S. I just hate using gimbals and rebalancing them so the IBIS on the Fuji is a solid negative for me. Your GH5 would be a good B cam to the S5ii(X) so maybe you should go that route. I think for what you get, it's probably the most well rounded camera on the market right now with that new AF. Thanks again!

      Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, JD! A solid IBIS would be a plus because I also hate balancing gimbals, and it would help me travel light. What really attracts me to the XH2s is the excellent dynamic range and beautiful image. If you had to choose your A-cam again, despite the IBIS difficulty, would you still choose the XH2s? I'm sorry to bother you with these questions, but it's just so hard to decide, and I really enjoy your content!

      @@raissaquintao4873 No thank YOU for the kind words! It brings me great joy as a small TH-camr that somebody is actually interested in my opinion so I love to answer questions like these 😃To be honest, I've been struggling a bit with F-Log2 being kind of mushy and a bit grainy in my opinion. I've seen other stuff online shot in F-Log2 be amazingly sharp and crisp, so I'm not sure what's or who (probably me or maybe a bad copy of the camera? who knows) at fault here. But that profile was something I was SO stoked about, that right now it's still a bit of a disappointment until it (hopefully) gets resolved. I'm not a fan of noise reduction in post as it is super taxing on your computer. For now, I just can't get it to look as crisp as I've seen it be on TH-cam and I also feel my GH5 is crisp in almost every clip, while the X-H2s can be grainy and then suddenly super crisp (although everybody complains about the X-H2s being way TOO sharp??). The IBIS is a letdown as well like we talked about. Again, I'm trying to figure the camera out and it will probably get better for me with time. But I'm still so drawn to Sony with the FX3(0) and even the ZV-E1. I guess you just always keep thinking of other gear and brands even if you just made that purchase (in my case the X-H2s) you've been tinkering about for 6 months 😆 I kind of recommended the S5ii in your case, so if you were hoping for another answer in me recommending the X-H2s, you're probably more drawn towards that camera and you should honestly just go for it. I feel I was kind of negative about this camera in these previous 2 comments, but that was just because of the probably only two things I'm still struggling with (being IBIS and noisy/grainy F-Log2). I've been doing some photo work for my brother's tailoring business yesterday and they came out super crisp and nice so hybrid wise this is an amazing camera. Just need to figure out the video side a bit more 🧐. Thanks again and always here for other questions!

    Im shooting my first wedding with an xt3 but im having troubles focusing on 2 people walking down the isle towards me, any advise with the settings or what to do ?

    • @AntonJDCreatives
      @AntonJDCreatives  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only two options to be pretty bulletproof in my opinion would be to either a.) manually focus to have full control if you wanna shoot with a shallow depth of field or b.) bump up your aperture to around f8 to have most of the image in focus so you can't really miss, but as I said a lot will be in focus so little to no shallow depth of field. I used AF on area and eye detect for most of this wedding but in the shot where they walk away you can see I bumped up the aperture with a lot in focus to be sure. Thanks for the comment!

      @@AntonJDCreatives Yea i want the blur for the rest of the day but where they walk down the isle where i need it to work 100% especially my first time its best to turn up the aperture? should i also disable face detect for this part? also im really confused about how to shoot there ceremony some people say hand held, gimbal or monopod?

    • @AntonJDCreatives
      @AntonJDCreatives  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@edi18912 You could go for like a semi higher aperture like 5.0 or something to give you a little more room while still keeping a little bit of blur... I kept face detect on here but you have to know how your camera AF behaves a little here. Well, all of this wedding was entirely shot handheld. I made a small rig with a cage, the sigma 18-50, a top handle and at the bottom a power bank holder holding a power bank for extended power. This adds a little weight as well to reduce the micro jitters. Still light enough to hold all day though.

    how is the ibis doing for video? robotic or not so bad?

    • @AntonJDCreatives
      @AntonJDCreatives  ปีที่แล้ว

      IBIS can be wobbly at times. Walking needs to be done really carefully to get anything useable or organic. But sometimes even slow twists of detail shots, at 60fps slowed down to 24 and stabilization applied in post, look weird and jerky. It's there and better than no IBIS in some cases, but don't expect wonders... Thank you for your question!

    this is amazing did you use face autofocus or area? and what mic did you use?

    • @AntonJDCreatives
      @AntonJDCreatives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the kind words ! I used AF on all of these shots on area and eye detect on if I'm not mistaken. AF wasn't always spot on but it did the job. I used the DJI mic and taped it to the venue microphone. If you look closely you can see the transmitter with the fur ball attached on the bottom of the mic. This gave me pretty clean audio but some takes were ruined when people were tapping their fingers on the mic. Only way to do it though. Thanks again!
