Hey, enjoy! 🙂 Whenever a person has an audience, it's great! But there are millions of exemplary creators who will never be seen nor acknowledged in any substantial way. Its not pain when he enjoys doing it and he can do it because he is educated in art and has a talent for it. Your video is absurd and its more like you are speaking for yourself.
"There's not much room for a company to steal the ideas of an unrestrained creative mind..." dude, you've got a deep-thinking bean on those shoulders! Thanks for this video; I'm crying and I feel sustained as an artist. I really needed this.
Thanks for the love! Appreciate it! And also, it's nice to see the video reaching the right target audience! I've been getting a few comments from artists, and I'm glad that people found this relatable!
@@wonderescence ...😒...in the nineties, the one thing I knew for sure was that I didn't want to be an animator. It makes me sad that so few STILL have any idea what they're getting into. I appreciate what you did here-so much! *insert a bunch of celebratory emojii...*

@@frozzytango9927 Really the good art take a long time to mature and make come up in the reality. it´s a sacrifice career and probably the most sad and painful style of life of become true art.
@@leotl4704 i enjoy doing art, and i wish i could make a living out of it, then i hear losers like this whine about how bad they got it, try and work a real job and feel what real despair looks like.
@@frozzytango9927 yeah, real despair is drawing 20 perspectively correct boxes, figure drawing for 2 hours and then doing a light study. If you treat it like a job, I guarantee you’ll start seeing it become hard, and I don’t mean a small commission artist I mean someone who wants to work at Disney or Blizzard levels. Doing anatomy, perspective or master studies for hours is hard. Just like learning anything is hard. You are not the arbiter of hard work, I’ve worked since I was 12 and Art isn’t the hardest I’ve worked for sure, but it is mentally draining especially when you’re creatively empty, or when you’re trying to draw your 100th box. Drawing every day for 5-8 hours is hard, knowing that every second you aren’t drawing others are gaining on you is hard. If you aren’t in the rat race you simply won’t be able to understand the mental toll of trying to constantly be better and outdo the competition. I see a lot of people who dabble but are not serious about art with this opinion. They miss the key fact that they are on the outskirts of the professionals. It’s like comparing yourself as a person dabbling in playing the guitar to Jimi Hendrix, or comparing your small entrepreneurial business to a CEO, anything can be fun when your livelihood doesn’t depend on it. Art isn’t the hardest job, but the constant outside pressure to be better and use every waking moment in and outside of work to improve is why most people don’t last very long. I’m not saying it’s un enjoyable, but it takes a special kind of person to still love the craft after putting in that much time under that much stress.
@@lumenx7499 So? you see the results at the end of the day. Have you ever worked a real mundane job? where your skill dont grow and you got nothing to show for? you just get drained everyday and no creative endevour, just the same crap getting exploited. You are in a privileged position and yet you guys still whine and cry.
Artists have it rough man. Non-artists don’t fully get how long it took to get to a certain point, you have to constantly practice or your skills WILL faulter, and like you pointed out… everything keeps pushing us down. Our families who say we won’t make money or say we HAVE to make money to be an artist, industries that take advantage of us, AI that steals our work so we are one day going to be tossed out… so here’s what I say to that. We’re having a new wave coming up. It’s been bubbling since the first Spiderverse film, and it starts with us. This is our time to make art ABOUT the art and stories themselves. To make it more than it has been. Support local artists, join artist groups, and don’t ever stop creating… AI may try replacing us, but we’ll still be right fucking here.
It's a thankless job that you need to except. Sitting around complaining is part of the problem of the artist. If you took that energy and put it where it belongs, things might start to change. Industries take advantage of the artist because artist allow the industries to do so.
Finally someone gets it, an artist is not necessarily someone who produces art or is recognized, it's about having the heart of one. There can be people who make art but are not artists and people who don't make art but are artists deep inside. Most real artists are hidden and you won't find them in the spotlight, plus society and the world does not allow people to be artists. Art is about freely and honestly exploring the deepest blues and yellows of your heart and turning them into something beautiful and that is its own reward, i think.
An artist is one who surrenders to its universe. Knowing that their purpose here is to create. That alone is a gift. The gift of life. One must allow creation work to through them instead of working against by setting bonds in a place of illusionary laws. Stop complaining, start experiencing. 🌊
As someone who watched artists from afar in my engineering background then made the leap into games and films I can tell you it's been very painful. Passion takes hold and all at once you are consumed by the desire to create but the world isn't set up for highs and lows. Artists are humans, people like any other and we have bills to pay need money for food and shelter and want to be taken care of when we get sick. Unless you're willing to do this part time while working a normal job it's really hard to find a balance. Some of the biggest artists I've interviewed that have worked on Spiderverse or Star Wars have slept in their car for months at a time or struggled to put their kids through school. When people talk about the Hollywood elite striking to get more millions they don't see the people holding their signs that months ago were students and their debts are something they'll never get out under. Most animators who work on Nickelodeon shows or Disney are making maybe $60,000 a year (if they actually work the whole year) and in California that's not even enough to rent a 1 bed apartment. The city is littered with homeless camps and people washing themselves in fountains the whole industry is a kill or be killed scenario and it's no wonder most people I know are either leaving the industry or have went back to waiting tables. No one appreciates us but in their darkest moments people turn to books, films and games and consume the very thing we bleed to create...
Thank you for this perspective! It's only when you add all these things up that you realize the whole industry is messed up on so many different levels!
It's all because art as a profession is looked down on. I know several engineers who mock the arts and artists but I know deep down they're people who wanted to do art as well. It's all so sad.
I was thinking the other day I am so grateful for books, films and tv show because honestly I don’t know how I would’ve survived my mental health struggles. I love artists and really appreciate y’all.
The human brain is incredibly strange. A lot of people will not look twice at anything that's wrong with what's going on unless it's thrown right at their face. I'm sure if an audience was shown a movie, and then the cinema shows a video of the poor working conditions that the artists behind movie were put through, more people would feel uncomfortable about watching the rest of the movie. Also I love that you showcase Kyoto Animation as the studio that sets the example for how you should be treating your animators. Although I've not been a fan of their works for as long as most people, I feel like I can really imagine the animators actually enjoying working on the amazing shows that I had the honour of watching.
Yes, once you see it, it's hard to unsee it! But most of the times I feel like artists kind of put up with it because of the passion. And yes, I thought I had to speak on Kyoto animation! They set the perfect example in a depressing industry.
This is why I will always give props to KyoAni. In an industry filled with horrible contracts and work conditions to maximize profits, they're still able to do high quality animation while treating their workers like people. They pay by salary instead of the industry standard of paying per frame. Meaning they can put extra effort per frame and it won't affect their pay. Their employees are trained in-house. They have a relaxed work environment and aren't tied to strict deadlines. So their employees can live a healthy work-life. They also treat women with as much respect as the men and provide them with paid maternal leaves.
As an artist, i appreciate you mentioning love death and robots. Such an inspiring series of animation! I feel like I'm behind the machine that is consumerism art, trying to find a balance between what I want to draw and what I need to draw for exposure on social media. It's sad we've come to such a point. Would love to just express and not worry about all the rest!
Well said! I think algorithms on social media these days tend to force the issue a bit too much! Back in the day, it wasn't too bad if you were an artist. Life on social media was fine. But now, you gotta go against your will and just mindlessly create stuff for getting that sweet exposure. And now with the AI stuff...it's like you can't catch a break! Thanks for sharing your views as an artist! Appreciate it!
Kyoani also takes their time when it comes to anime ,compared to other studios that require 24/7 funding to do any show ,Kyoani has backing from the city itself ,because they themselves as a studio help the community with things like manga showcases that can become anime and nowadays they basically only animate stuff that they award at their own awards ,which probably gives the author a relationship that's a lot closer to the studio than other . And as a side note there is this thing called Japan Anima(tor)'s Exhibition its basically a showcase made by anime studio's to showcase their works ,all of them are random 3 minute showcases ,some full 3d ,some full 2d ,some with stop motion and its a really good watch if you like the type of indie feeling of animation ,i think there are like 30 episodes ,i really recommend it (i think some of their episodes are on youtube if not all ,idk since i did not check )
And yet, artists don't stop. They keep pushing themselves through the industry to express their creativity, even if they get hurt in the proccess. Does an artist have sympathy for himself? I would say so. I like drawing, and over time I have tried to turn my hobbie into a job; however, I have not succeeded, but rather than encourge myself to continue, I've learnt to enjoy the proccess... In other words, I feel empathy for the artist within me. It was a wonderful video, keep doing so, dude. 😉
Thank you. As an artist, although not professional yet, I am feeling powerless in this now AI diluted sanctuary of artworks. Thank you for caring. Thank you for seeing it through our eyes, to see why we feel anxious about the creation of AI.
as a artist I loved watching this video, going into the industry as rocky and unstable as art feels impossible with AI and unworkable conditions in studios but with the rise of independent artists and smaller ethical studios its given other artists such as myself hope for a good place to create, us artist aren't going anywhere and when people have a place to truly be creative instead of forcing it, they're able to make something truly beautiful
ai will never take this away from artists. it may try to take our commissions, and our style, and our look. but the passion lingers. always. humans will always lean to real, meaningful art. genuine art. nothing will take a humans creativity, no robot, no artificial, no machine.
nice video - a lot of artists we know have went underground - from the constant buffeting of an industry bent on hurting the community who would want to stay visible in that environment?
I spent 25 years and thousands of euros to learn art , because my parents believed I was some kind of art prodigy. And now I am broke and sick, was not able to make any money from this skill. 25 years of my life wasted on something that is my doom.
@@wonderescence because it is. Creativity is extremely important to the society, without creativity society would collapse, but creativity holds very little value in terms of money.

as someone who's been drawing since kindergarten Ii enjoy making drawings and everything, but there's times where I wish I had chosen a different path. its so tiring watching people from family expect me to make better and better illustrations each time, and when those expectations aren't met they don't show as much interest in my work. I just wish they would see how long it takes me to actually make something I'm proud of before dismissing it. honestly I don't want to draw for other peoples pleasure but at this point its all I'm known for. there's so many times where I'm only needed when someone needs a drawing and that hurts. I'm not just an artistic machine I'm an actual person. sorry if its hard to understand what Im trying to say, I'm not good at expressing what I mean through words 😭Also i love the way the creator of this video words everything and overly the whole way the video is made. keep up the amazing work :3
I totally understand what you are saying! And what you are saying is exactly one of the reasons why I made this video! So, keep enjoying making art without being worried about people judging you! And also, thank you for the support!
Love this video! As an artist, one big struggle I face is not being enough. Not being bold enough, not being creative enough, not pushing boundaries enough. Watching this video really reminds me to just keep making art for myself and if folks likes it too then its a plus. Thanks for this!
A very optimistic and idealistic conclusion to a well-analyzed video essay. I would say that AI art will replace the human artist just as AI is the replacement for humanity. Humankind is incapable of achieving anything as great as it wishes it could, and is therefore designing its successor, no matter its naive intent
I will not be sad about Midjourney or some other AI tool failing or being eaten up by a competitor, I will not be sad to see an AI image disappear; I will be sad when the humans that made the art disappear, when their art is added to a monolith and forgotten.
I strongly recommend the one-shot manga "Look back" by Fujimoto (the author of Chainsaw man), it had captured the essence of what it mean to be an artist so well, there are so many pages where characters just sit there and draw while time passing through the window. Art for me at its most basic is about connection, the desire to create can simply born from childish reason like the need to impress someone, to share a part of yourself with the world. I know how insignificant I am in the grand scheme of things, but just for a moment, if someone can see the stuff I've created and smile, that's all that matters.
Congratulations, your video has inspired the most recent diary entry in my journal. Its something Ive thought about a lot lately as my artistic journey is inherently tied into my journey of consciousness at this point. Ive stopped producing art for mass consumption awhile ago and decided I needed to learn how to live in order to ever want to make art about living again, so I enjoy reflective moments like this. thank you.
I'm an artist- in more than one craft. Not a professional one... Yet. I'm about to get a degree and the amount of people that told me not to because I'm "capable of something more", because "I'm smart", because I have "so much potential". That's just the thing, being creative (professionally, at least) it's an uphill battle. Especially when people in your life (and country, for that matter) don't VALUE art. It's like cultural value it's no more than... A little trinket, something nice, yeah, but not something that you take seriously. Don't get me wrong, I will continue through the path I chose no matter what, because the need to create it's always there, and the mere thought of not being able to do art really, really makes me feel despair... But lately, I was in kind of an artblock. This video reminded me exactly why I do what I do... And that even of there's a lot of people who don't care, that mistreat artists... If at least one person takes a moment to appreciate your craft, it's worth it. Of course, there's a lot of underlying issues that need to ne fixed and that you addressed. But precisely the fact that people is talking about it means that there's hope for artists.
im so glad indian artists are starting to appear more lol. Seeing a change of pace in Indian youtube content is a really nice change of pace. Keep it up, the video essay is beautiful, all the best :) also 4:08, vincent didnt have any mental disabilities, he had mental illnesses, which had been slowly eating away a part of his mind and taking away his peace.
This is one of the best animation analysis videos I’ve seen in a while. I’ve been an aspiring animator for years now. In a country where the industry is so small. I always felt like the dream was out of my reach. This videos serves a great reminder about where the desire to create comes from and also, the cost of creation. I recently graduated from film and drama school. Currently working as an Art director and production designer for a small Community NGO TV station. I love my work, but animation and voice acting has always been my first love. The art of telling story through creative mediums. It’s truly sad to see the little appreciation the industry has for animators and other artist worldwide. When you were describing the animated shorts you saw on YT and the gem of indie artists and studios. I felt like I was transport back in time. I remember back in my last year of highschool during the pandemic, I kept on watching them non stop, it was also the year I found love death and robots on Netflix. I really appreciate you mentioning that as well as highlighting the terrible working conditions at these mainstream studios Thank you so much for this video. I’ll come back to it for sure🙏🏽✨
To me, art and imagery is what I say is a sense to me. I can feel it, see it, sometimes I can hear the image or feel it in my mouth. Same with music, both are art even if I don’t know their full meaning and concepts. If a piece shows intensity and a type of strong pull I become intense, upright and become enamored. Other pieces I have seen also gave me the same dysphoria I have to myself, which I just refer it to “art dysphoria” My art is what I see as expression my mind and in some way my body. The first time I’ve ever tried animation in high school I think I felt myself imploding at staring too long at the screen and feel I could see the colors in my eyes and know I would’ve hated working in animation. The stories of animations becoming dreadful and tired of what they do and what should be loved is sometimes seen and rushed because people want to push the colors from their talent. It hurts. Seeing the lines cut up and choppy from animation hurts, like poking knives to a loved thing. Anime, movies, shows, series, I always loved the art put into those shows and projects which is why I always watch them with a low expectation. If the show is beautiful, if it brings a second sense, and if the show can bring me an emotion or make me feel happy then I love what has been done. As an artist, I wish to express my anger or at times my own depression with all the bright colors or use of brushes in my tablet. But I see it as me making junk. Practicing anatomy, using colors, I’ve never felt valid to draw them in which I cheered for others who could. It angers me when companies take that from people, to take what makes them a creative hurts for a lot of reasons. But to see artists from home create what makes them whole makes me beyond happy, makes me feel better of my own skills.
Thank you for making this video. As an artist who seems to struggle to get anyone to care about the self-expression that I try so hard to convey in my art I've often been extremely frustrated by most people's disrespect for it. It's refreshing to see someone come on here and go "Hey, artists are people. They have feelings too!"
No worries! I felt like if there was ever a moment in time to make a video like this, it was simply right now, coz of how the world has been changing of late!
for me I suffered for so long, all alone, and what makes my soul feel the most alive is creating art. it is the ultimate coping mechanism to turn pain and feelings into something beautiful. art tells my truth for me ITS EXHILARATING i feel like i finally have a voice.
@@wonderescence yes, thank you so much★ Sorry for dumping all the following stuff on you and on other people who are going to see this, you don't have to read it!! I'm working on a webcomic project, I'm finally in the process of actually drawing my first chapter, which is stressing me out and I feel like I'm suffocating, even though it's not a very meaningful or complex thing, I'm just setting up some stuff about one specific character, but my stories mean the world to me and it just feels so scary to try and expose them to other people like that. I'm also very inexperienced, and young(I'm 16), so it's honestly just difficult because of my lack of skill and I just feel like it's all worthless sometimes, but your video really helped me
As an artist, I just want to say thank you. For me, art is both a thing I need to survive(as a job) and a way for me to talk more deeply with myself and express it to the outside world. It's a thing that I NEED for my mind or my soul. It's a thing that made me realize the happiness that is hidden in me, as well as the pain and trauma.
0:30 there's a similar backstory with the anime robot carnivals cloud. In the liner notes it states that it was made by the artist and his family to show his frustration with the industry and their obsession at the time with scifi, he wanted to draw nature.
With Ai this feels more then an insult it feels like betrayal, you know, the fact the art you have worked you have made that shaped your mind is now replaced my a machine that follows codes with no emotion
Thanks for doing this vid, I think indies is the first step to make a healthier workspace for artists, I'll rather watch indie animated series on youtube than paying for crunchyroll and keep feeding mappa's beasts, for example. I don't care if I have less things to watch or not in the same quality, it's just not worthy. I think we should all support indie and small artists and stop paying for companies who don't care about their employees or steals art like Adobe. And if having a healthy work in art industry is impossible, then I wish every tortured animator can find a different job in a different industry that allows to make art in free time, just as a hobbie. Or at least change their job. There are many jobs, with better hours, better salaries, and there's also the possibility to start an own business too. And I wish this video reaches out to more people :)
I loved your video, your message and it spoke to me. Support your local artists or artists in general. They need the money for their meds... I kid! I felt compelled to leave a message because I tend to agree with your point of view. So many creators of new worlds and ideas are lost to time for no one to know them. The internet has made it easier to get into touch with others and share your ideas or creations. But let us be honest even that has created a new grind of content, you need to make, run in an entire new rat race to feed the algorithm, the constant need for more. I lost 4 years of investment into a Instagram account and due to a hack everything was gone over one night. It kicked me down hated how that felt. Still do! All that worked seemed for naught. But this created a new way of thinking and I stepped of the treadmill, and started thinking of how and what I wanted to do and for whom. I changed my approach and now I make to connect. Does my stuff hit an algorithm well it doesn't really but I don't mind the ones that find it seem to like it and that makes me happy!
So I study fashion design and one thing my lecturer has made clear is that fashion is an art form and like any art form, you will NEVER feel like you're good enough. Because he himself never found himself good enough to proceed to the major fashion world and i think he said that to us so we can embrace uncertainty and not be afraid to take leaps with our designs and keep pursuing. It's kind of a sad thought to be completely honest, like how many generational talents have we never been exposed to because they never saw themselves as good enough or were afraid to take that last leap due to insecurity in their own craft. Creating is definitely an incredibly straining task.
I was feeling overly tired and burned out today but this really helped me realign my perspective on why i wanna do what I do. Thank you bro. Absolutely amazing video.
Most Creative people have a mental issues as a drawback and plays significant how your life goes on As someone living with derealization/depersonalization ever since i was a child It is extremely hard to feel rewarded after finishing a drawing due to constant numbness
this! i've drawn and painted in private for years, so when i started posting my art online it quickly got more attention than i expected. as someone who lives with cptsd, the sudden attention to my work gives me debilitating anxiety bahaha while i'm very thankful for the recognition, i've come close to deleting my art accounts on multiple occasions. i end up reflecting on the time i spent drawing as an outlet during my childhood, and i don't know who i am/where i'd be without the ability to create i've come to the conclusion that i might as well share my work with anyone who might like it, even if cptsd makes the creative process extremely difficult for me
I really enjoyed this video. Honestly, I truly believe AI will never be able to replace artist. A robot will never have the capacity to feel raw emotions and react, whether rationally or irrationally, like a human, and that alone are the defining features needed in art - Emotions
good video, interesting and complex situation with the AI generated art. I am considering it for a project. It both fits the domain of discussion and would be nice because I am indie.
Appreciate the ai discourse, Humans need to be in the equation for us to consume it organically. Compassion and sympathy and all spectrums of emotion are needed.
I watched The Never-Ending Man documentary yesterday. And the section on AI reminded me a scene there wherein Hayao Miyazaki was presented with an AI animation and gives an appopriate and apocalyptic comments. After a transition, he finally made up his mind.
Yes! I've watched that documentary. He did have some stern words about AI! When you've been doing your craft long enough, you can probably notice the subtleties of that craft very easily...
in this house we STAN Kyoto Animation‼️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥 overcome such struggles, stayed humanistic and creating incredible masterpieces ! ! Silent Voice my favourite movie of all time ♪( ´▽`)
after 5 years of suffering i realized that this is not for me, it's too hard (even tho i managed to reach the level i never thought i would be able to be at), and now i'm still suffering from seeing how cool things other people creating, but at least i'm not suffering from forcing myself to do what i don't want to i destroyed my life with the desire to be an artist to the point i turned into nihilist with existential crisis
I hope you are doing well now! Doing art as a job is incredibly challenging! But nevertheless, you can always do it for fun, on your terms, without needing to please others!
@@wonderescence i was never working as artist, that was my hobby from the very beginning, i couldn't please myself, not others my perfectionism and weak mentality (i'm a snowflake) doesn't allow me to have fun with the process, i just can't bear it
These industries should get in higher positions people capable of empathy. If your whole studio is dying on desk or half alive from health issues, can't eat well, and has so many other issues then there should be some measures taken. Artists are people as well, they deserve to live humanly as well. I heard before some unhinged people being heavy against artists for the dumb reasoning of "oh they picked the pencil" or "wtf can those do else beside scribbling" i find it a very stupid mentality to slap a reason on negativity like wallpaper
I mean...people hate for no reason! It is obviously stupid to make fun of people who are in the line of creative arts. Without artists, the world would be so friggin bleak!
I got a degree in Visual and Media arts with the dream of being a 3D animator. It took me a few years to land a gig, and when I finally did, I found the work was long, grueling, underpaid, and underappreciated. It felt like I was having to squeeze creativity out of me like a sponge, making me feel empty and sad. I decided to get a job in software development instead. Ten years have passed and I don't regret a thing. Pay is much higher, job is far more stable, hours are fewer, and work is much more appreciated. I'm only now getting back into art, after basically swearing it off after the industry destroyed my love of it. I'm finding it much easier to have fun without the profit motive.
Well, it was true even like that even 100 years ago, I apprentice will put work into their art and the workshop in the Renaissance and not only the master gets credit when he signs it
I swear to God. Young adulthood is the most stressful period of life. I refuse to believe this is gonna be the best part of my life. There are so many expectations and the most unclear path imaginable. I need a culty religion or something to feel stable. Thanks for listening to my TedTalk. Good night
As a person who is an amateur plus sized furry artist, it is EXCRUCIATINGLY hard to find even a tiny amount of sympathy towards the general artist because most artists have a specific template for their characters, usually skinny, and hate anybody who likes getting creative or abstract with body types... a friend told me artists are mainly sizist and i sadly agree. Most artists i have shown my art to, they hate what i do bevause they hate an abstractly Large character, well if they can do that i can hate their skinny characters because of the artist's lack of expanding their creativity and imagination, something that seperates the posers from the pros... look at ANY disney animator for a prime example! This is coming from an AMATEUR'S perspective, if i am wrong, i need proof that artists DONT hate on creativity with body types and are not afraid to expand their horizons
Dreams of an Astronaut, studied IT until graduated. Yet the intellect paid with the lack of fitness denied, for in their eyes, we will not be missed. Shifting responsibility, shame game, treachery, and corruption in every field of work has been blamed. In the end, the remains of the body and becomes the fulfillment for a starving artist.
This is why any deterioration within the industry and medium centers around the same problem: workers rights. This is why artists need to band together, they need to lobby for power within the structure and learn the history of how those who care only for wealth use up the passionate and hardworking for only their own gain. Sympathy needs to move to collective action.
21:06 -21:18 I disagree with ur statement, because all these AI’s had to be fed with other AI’s work, skipping the effort and creativity. It merely copies a previous idea, but the thing is it has so many (stolen) ideas it seems that artwork that can be generated is infinitely boundless, when in reality when u generate the piece u want, it’s nothing like what u envisage. Only you can put that image in ur head onto the paper and make it reality. So I don’t think art has stolen our speciality, that is being able to put into reality the images in our head, but rather our previous ideas and the time and effort put into makin the idea. My English isn’t the best so idk if I communicated my point clearly 😅
Yes, I was sort of getting into the dangers of AI and algorithmic art in that statement, which I think you are referring to. But overall, you are correct. The uniqueness or the subjectivity of art is still beyond the reach of AI. I think that's why I said at the end of the video that no matter what, artists will find ways to be creative, even if everything was to be mechanized using AI.

Thank you
Thank you
It's a thankless job that you need to except. Sitting around complaining is part of the problem of the artist. If you took that energy and put it where it belongs, things might start to change. Industries take advantage of the artist because artist allow the industries to do so.
Right there with you man
@@daviddarko5837idk what they wrote about got me thinking, and anything that keeps you questioning, is a part of a solution being shown to light.
Art is about freely and honestly exploring the deepest blues and yellows of your heart and turning them into something beautiful and that is its own reward, i think.
beautifully said
An artist is one who surrenders to its universe. Knowing that their purpose here is to create. That alone is a gift. The gift of life. One must allow creation work to through them instead of working against by setting bonds in a place of illusionary laws. Stop complaining, start experiencing. 🌊
This comment made me cry 💖
I asked myself this question a few days ago and I believe you gave an appropriate definition, thank you... And I hope you continue to think.
Cool. What a cool studio! Hope the other studios will still improve like KyoAni.
Misunderstandings are killing us, stick up for yourself, be kind to you, be kind to yourself.
Yes. Also realize that art can only be art through misunderstandings for one is not here to please the masses that wouldn’t be art would it? 🌊
Thanks, I did not know about it! I'll see if I can watch them on TH-cam!
Yes mate, just enjoy the craft!
And appreciate the support! Thanks.
Thank you. As an artist, although not professional yet, I am feeling powerless in this now AI diluted sanctuary of artworks. Thank you for caring. Thank you for seeing it through our eyes, to see why we feel anxious about the creation of AI.

I'm glad the video found the right audience! Thank you for the support!
as a artist I loved watching this video, going into the industry as rocky and unstable as art feels impossible with AI and unworkable conditions in studios
but with the rise of independent artists and smaller ethical studios its given other artists such as myself hope for a good place to create, us artist aren't going anywhere and when people have a place to truly be creative instead of forcing it, they're able to make something truly beautiful
ai will never take this away from artists. it may try to take our commissions, and our style, and our look. but the passion lingers. always. humans will always lean to real, meaningful art. genuine art. nothing will take a humans creativity, no robot, no artificial, no machine.

Why do I feel like this is the story of many artists...

I will not be sad about Midjourney or some other AI tool failing or being eaten up by a competitor, I will not be sad to see an AI image disappear; I will be sad when the humans that made the art disappear, when their art is added to a monolith and forgotten.
i love videos like this where i can learn and explore thought for a solid 30 minutes before my day starts. keep making this stuff, it is amazing.

Thank you... I really needed this.
You're welcome!😇
I strongly recommend the one-shot manga "Look back" by Fujimoto (the author of Chainsaw man), it had captured the essence of what it mean to be an artist so well, there are so many pages where characters just sit there and draw while time passing through the window.
Art for me at its most basic is about connection, the desire to create can simply born from childish reason like the need to impress someone, to share a part of yourself with the world. I know how insignificant I am in the grand scheme of things, but just for a moment, if someone can see the stuff I've created and smile, that's all that matters.
Your video gave me hope in these dark times - thank you so much for this
Congratulations, your video has inspired the most recent diary entry in my journal. Its something Ive thought about a lot lately as my artistic journey is inherently tied into my journey of consciousness at this point. Ive stopped producing art for mass consumption awhile ago and decided I needed to learn how to live in order to ever want to make art about living again, so I enjoy reflective moments like this. thank you.
Thanks for sharing this also! I'm glad the video had that effect on you!

I really appreciate you mentioning that as well as highlighting the terrible working conditions at these mainstream studios

Thank you for making such videos for artists, and to artists you are not alone
beautiful video. loved the topics you covered.
This is so elegantly put together! I hear it!

It's refreshing to see someone come on here and go "Hey, artists are people. They have feelings too!"
No worries! I felt like if there was ever a moment in time to make a video like this, it was simply right now, coz of how the world has been changing of late!

Sorry for dumping all the following stuff on you and on other people who are going to see this, you don't have to read it!!
❤ That is why I made the print of Puparia the energy of the film and explanation agrees with me.
This video is really touching for us, artists from the entertainment indurtry, thank you
You're welcome! I'm glad to see that the video found the right audience!!
This was an amazing video essay, I look forward to seeing more from you :)
Appreciate the support!
Also, this is why we need to give more power to indie artists on you tube to disrupt the industry system xD

Art is meant to entertain… is what I hate to see. Because it’s not to me. I hate that word.
Great video. Thank you
Thanks for the support! Appreciate it!
Not me an artist on a deadline watching this..
I’m going to cry lmao
i love puparia so much
"You've got to bleed for the dancer" - Dio, Heaven and Hell.
Well, it was true even like that even 100 years ago, I apprentice will put work into their art and the workshop in the Renaissance and not only the master gets credit when he signs it
Good video!
Thanks for the video
Great video, ty
Amazing video
Dreams of an Astronaut, studied IT until graduated.
Yet the intellect paid with the lack of fitness denied, for in their eyes, we will not be missed.
Shifting responsibility, shame game, treachery, and corruption in every field of work has been blamed.
In the end, the remains of the body and becomes the fulfillment for a starving artist.
You made me rethink my career path just to instantly remind me why I chose it
Well then, I hope you fulfil that path!
every day is an achievement tbh... is pretty dark at this point...
I still can't imagine how KyoAni of all studios got attacked, if that isn't an argument against karma being real I don't know what is
Excellent ❤
This is why any deterioration within the industry and medium centers around the same problem: workers rights. This is why artists need to band together, they need to lobby for power within the structure and learn the history of how those who care only for wealth use up the passionate and hardworking for only their own gain. Sympathy needs to move to collective action.
I love your video!
Thank you so much!!

I disagree with ur statement, because all these AI’s had to be fed with other AI’s work, skipping the effort and creativity.
I think that's why I said at the end of the video that no matter what, artists will find ways to be creative, even if everything was to be mechanized using AI.
people forgot about me! bruh, i've been here for 10 years!
